  1. The other parties can easily prove loss. That much is obvious. Not sure where you’re going with this but if you’re trying to portray Rovers as the innocent party that isn’t at fault or won’t be taking a financial hit I think you’re deluded
  2. It’s not his fault he’s out of favour at Forest. Managers take a decision in players and live or die by them. O’Brien’s contract will include clauses for how many first team appearances he makes either at Forest or Rovers, and he won’t be getting them. If you’re trying to argue that Rovers won’t suffer financially by all this I’m afraid you’re just trolling again
  3. O’Brien will want compensation. His career has effectively been put on hold if not set back by 6 months to a year through no fault of his own. His earning power has possibly been reduced. This could cost Rkvers big time
  4. Is there a date for the Sheffield tie?
  5. ManU v Grimsby nailed on
  6. Sheff Utd going to extra time would be good
  7. He got criticism playing at full back - which he isn't. Agree he's playing very well at the moment with Hyam. It's a good partnership
  8. His public persona is quite likely very different to what he's saying and thinking privately. He could have concluded after the January debacle that this isn't what he was sold when he joined the club, that it's being run in an amateurish way by a load of second raters. If he's come to that conclusion, he'll be off sooner than we think. This is all conjecture but if he does leave at the end of the season it's very easy to see possibly why
  9. Can we improve gradually without it being a "project"? I was feeling upbeat until then
  10. Which is why he isn't a right back - and he's wasted in that position. He isn't a natural defender. Rovers have probably played him there at times because there was no one else but his skill and confidence is shining through now and he needs to play in midfield. His kind of skill can unlock defences
  11. JRC has the ability under pressure to take the ball on the turn, with tight control and move effortlessly into space. He then has the eye for the pass and the ability to deliver it. Not many players can do that
  12. You always have to be one step ahead of the game. First thing you'd ask the Rovers hierarchy ..... who is the next manager? If they don't know they're not doing their job
  13. On a down note, I don't watch the junior sides and I presume he shone for them because he wouldn't have got a professional contract but what do the Ewood hierarchy see in Jack Vale to make them think he will make a decent first team centre forward? I've seen him a few times now and he offers so little. Last night was poor even by his standards.
  14. Gallagher's sliding tackle to rob the Leicester player to set up the second goal.... he wouldn't have done that on a normal pitch. The difference was Leicester's passing wasn't as good as ours - our first goal came from the sort of poor passing mistake we've been making this season. It's still a strategy with risks - it gets even the best teams into trouble at times The pitch is interesting. Leicester's looked high quality, showing if you're a passing team you need a good pitch to play on. Not like Ewood in other words. Message to Waggott - spending money on infrastructure (investing) brings rewards in many ways
  15. We’ve just peaked for the season It’s all downhill from here ☹️
  16. The enforced absence of Dack and Brereton and playing two wide men up front has made a difference. Dolan has benefited as he plays better on the left. Szmodics offers more pace and work than Dack and Gallagher in the past 2 games at last looks like a proper centre forward.. it’s all just clucked into place. Even the passing game at the back seems to have a purpose.
  17. Two wins in a row. I'm going for the hat-trick
  18. Filbert St? We were lighting up the Kingpower! Tonight was a reminder of why you love football and keep on going match after match, year after year, even when it's rainy and cold and the team's rubbish and you hate the manager and the owners - it's all worth it when you get nights like tonight Tonight was a throwback to the mid-1960s, the 1970s under Kendall, the glory days of the1990s, the Cardiff league cup win in 2002, the Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Old Trafford in 2007 - the atmosphere the fervour and noise of the fans driven by the excellent performance of the team was from another era A brilliant night for the club and the fans and I won't let Jack Vale spoil it except to (if I could) ask him if he really wants to be a professional footballer Rovers have set the standard now. Same again against Sheffield United please.
  19. Stunning win. Best I’ve seen us play in a long time Should have scored more. 4-1 and Leicester couldn’t have complained Whatever pills Gallagher took before the game he needs to take them again Rovers fans in great voice. brilliant night all round
  20. The League cup debacle in Cardiff cost me about £250 in tickets, petrol money, food etc. I might as well have burnt that money - it was a total waste. Even with the weakened team, it was clear the Rovers players couldn't be bothered - and that came from the manager. I was angry but disappointed most of all for 3 youngsters with me who were let down by the club. Tomasson isn't a useless creep like Kean but the same thing must not happen at Leicester and Rovers field a weakened side that surrenders tamely. We've a big following going down there and they deserve to be treated with respect.
  21. The wheels are coming off Bazball very quickly tonight
  22. Hedges for Thomas, with Hedges playing the winger's role, should be the only change from the QPR match
  23. Nah, he just cashed in on it as an after-dinner speaker for decades Allegedly
  24. Would Burnley give Rovers a guard of honour if the circumstances were reversed? Of course, they wouldn't, and you wouldn't expect them to either Some people have mashed potatoes instead of grey matter
