  1. So it’s management speak and misuse of a word, otherwise known as bollocks. Thanks for clarifying. It will be called out every time it’s posted from now on
  2. Is stakeholder the latest buzzword? Stakeholder suggests some sort of financial interest. And I thought we were all fans Is Chaddy launching a management buyout at Ewood?
  3. Do we really want Brereton that much? He blows hot and cold, his game is limited and we could sign 2 better players for the same money who would make the team much stronger.
  4. You jest sir, of course. We'd have to do a Forest and spend tens of millions on an entire new squad
  5. It would be a start though At the Hawthorns I was tearing my hair out watching our defenders and midfield players passing the ball amongst themselves in our defensive third I'd love to know what we're trying to achieve by doing this We have midfield players who can retain possession and with an eye for a pass, eg Buckley, JRC, Morton, A Wharton, Dack, so why aren't we playing this possession game in the our opponent's defensive third, around the penalty area where, you know, we might just create a chance to score a goal?
  6. Tony’s team going great guns. It’s galling to see Mowbray doing well and I wouldn’t want him back but there’s no doubt we’re a worse outfit this season. Tomasson isn’t an upgrade
  7. How much did the others cost? We paid £5m for Gallagher £5m
  8. No different to West Brom in midweek. We didn’t look like scoring then and we don’t now. Tomasson out
  9. Dack was show ponying at West Brom and deserved to be dropped Don’t understand Ayala coming back and Carter is not a right back Come on Rovers
  10. A stench coming out of Ewood would be welcome ..... at least it would mean there is human life in there. Even if there are no new developments the general lack of communication through the season shows an arrogance and disdain for supporters. It's little wonder fans feel so disconnected from the club and don't go any more
  11. English football sells its soul: part XVI Son of former Qatari PM has offered to take 100% ownership of Manchester United Club will be debt free and valued at about $4.5bn, second only in world sports to Denver Broncos
  12. Now then, I can't stand Arsenal and most of their fans but I agree with many of the sentiments in this very good piece on the BBC about how many "proper" football fans feel disconnected from the modern game and why they no longer attend matches Dial Square FC is Arsenal's original name A good read https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64641090
  13. How are we going to score goals and who's going to score them? Until Brereton's last-gasp goal at West Brom we rarely looked like scoring and hardly built an attack worthy of the name over the 90 minutes Hopefully Brereton will gain some confidence from having hit the back of the net after a barren run but his form has been so wretched he's lucky to be in the side anyway - and no one else offers a goal threat Rovers 0 Swansea 0 wouldn't be a surprise
  14. The club’s silence on this is another sign of its contempt for Rovers fans. As far as I’m aware there’s been no communication from Ewood since that amateurish statement after deadline day. There’s an appeal going on (apparently) and again fans are left in the dark with no information or update to let us know what’s happening (or not). This is not the way to run a professional football club that without its supporter base has no reason to exist
  15. The booing for Dack going off was pretty widespread but didn't last long As usual this season, the Rovers fans were pretty quiet until the goal - and then they had something to celebrate. But you can't blame them going to sleep watching Tomasson's football. It's awful - worse than under Mowbray The Albion fans were silent most of the time too - the Hawthorns as a whole was even quieter than Ewood
  16. We looked more solid when Hyam came on. S Wharton is not the player of 6-12 months ago. Carter was very good last night. I don't rate him when he's played full back but he looked assured and composed and good some good blocks and tackles in Brittain was woeful and off the pace when he came on but the lad's had a long time out with injury. He's still our best right back
  17. We were quite lively in the first 10 minutes and in the last 10 minutes but in between was 70 minutes of nothingness really Although it was better than previous away games and we were competitive we couldn't have complained if West Brom had been 2-0 up at half time. They missed some good chances like Watford did. The worst thing about Rovers is we are so tedious to watch. The constant passing among the defenders and goalkeeper does not achieve anything whatsoever in leading to an attacking move and I'd like the manager to explain why we continue to do it and what he is trying to achieve. For the most part, there is no urgency and pace about our game and the one ball we play from deep is always out to the left wing where, unless it is perfect, Brereton usually cannot make anything of it I left the ground pleased at the draw in the end but then you think back it was poor overall West Brom and Rovers are two average teams IMO and will finish mid-table.
  18. Never left early in 60 years except for Peterborough last season. Great goal but the rest of it, dear oh dear. Watching Rovers is like watching paint dry.
  19. Set off at about 4.30 and got here about 7.20 so about 2 hrs 50mins. On the M6 it felt like 5 hours. Any other examples of exaggeration would be appreciated Come on Rovers
  20. Why is Brereton playing? Might as well have 10 men. Three hours on the road to watch our non scoring “striker” hide on the left wing
  21. Hoping for a change of luck PB. As always with Rovers I’m hoping for the best and fearing the worst
  22. We're setting off in the next 10 minutes Come on Rovers
  23. Tickets nabbed. If you fancy a flutter on a Rovers defeat I haven’t seen us win a point away from home this season
  24. Yes see what you mean though it was very personal between him and her and I think she wanted to have it out with him face to face. Made for a good scene
