  1. Actually it's not supposed to him and if you make it so obvious who it is that it becomes blatant then it becomes the same as naming him and as such the site could get into trouble.
  2. Rumour has it that one of the red tops will name & shame shortly. I'd imagine there is a whole load of legal wrangling going on over it.
  3. Certainly appear to be running ok from Oxford rd at least but there are quite a few that are down from piccadilly as trains as well. Northern Rail appear to be running a limited service and the Victoria trains are pretty normal from the looks of it.
  4. Clearly not, Neill has been one of our better in players in most of the games this season and bar his stupidity against Spurs has hardly put a foot wrong. He is certainly much improved so far on last season.
  5. I wouldn't really consider Kuqi a rookie anymore and certainly with the added confidence from those two goals on Saturday, now is the time to cope without Bellamy. Not that you'd want to but i'd feel more confident of doing that now than 2 weeks ago.
  6. European trips now to what they were 10 years ago are incomparable. If we had a cheap trip to Sunny Beach on offer for our first trip then it would have been the same as Bolton, no doubt.
  7. Other annoying sigs have been removed by the mods so why can't this one if the poster in question can't respond to polite requests.
  8. Glad to see Lawrensen is still not tipping us to win. He's gone for 2-2 saying we are not prolific. Strange prediction from a strange man.
  9. Great boost that considering how good he's been in the last few games.
  10. I said at half time that I wouldn't be gutted if we lost this as I was just so pleased to have seen some decent football from us. It was a genuine pleasure to watch yesterday which is all I ask for. It was worth every penny and more.
  11. What a day i'm still buzzing now and will bouncing around the office tomorrow. Full credit to Hughes for the way the team played, it was a pleasure to watch and I really enjoyed it. We fully deserved that and even most of the United fans have admitted as much. Played some great football and created lots of decent chances that is how we won Waggy. Such a great day all round still can't believe it.
  12. You certainly seem to be suggesting that ticket prices are remaining high because of people who like a drink. When we suggest pubs that we are meeting in because we think it would be good to meet up we always thought we were being sociable. Instead it seems we are just keeping the prices high instead! In fairness Alan I take your point about some of the scrotes that have taken to following the club of late but I think you are wrong to lump all those who like a day on the beer in with them. Many of the people on this board meet up and the vast majority are fine at the games after a few beers. The idiots are often the same beer or not and I think people should refrain from tarring all with the same brush. We are still a lot better than most clubs for how friendly our fans are and I don't think we should lose sight of this because of a few muppets.
  13. But surely in the early years of the Premiership when cheaper prices were abundant people were just as able to drink all day then. To suggest clubs are kepping prices artificially high just to curb all-day drinkin is fanciful to say the least. Let's face it football is a far more family friendly day out than it was 10 years ago let alone 20.
  14. Dear Chap? Is being patronising a pre-requisite for being a mod now then as well as making smart comments? You think I can't understand and vice versa so I suggest we call it quits. Although for the record you would have not found one post from me asking why people were not attending United or any other game if it were not for some of the posts of the last few days. I would have thought all the threads on attendances would have given you all the reasons in the world but hey ho. I'm glad you enjoyed it last night and will leave it at that.
  15. But if you bothered reading my posts instead of being high and mighty and smart arsed as well if I might add you would see there were a number of reasons why I didn't go last night. I won't list them because I don't have to justify myself to you nor do you to me for Saturday. However it was yourself and others that started commenting on others commitment but don't like it back. What's a 120 mile round trip? Sod all compared to some of the trips made to be honest but that's back to the one-upmanship that some people like to bandy about but then cry foul when questioned themselves. It's not a case of can't be arsed it 's a case of not wanting to go to something that you don't enjoy for a lot of fans at present. Most people can understand that why are you struggling?
  16. Wouldn't know as I watched a thoroughly entertaining game Barcelona v Valencia. It's called entertainment you see. Are you going on Saturday?
  17. It doesn't, that was kind of my point. Strangely enough Revidge my first thought when waking every morning isn't 'What can I do for Blackburn Rovers today?' Call me disloyal if you will but there you have it. As for better fan than you thing, if you read the thread it is clearly the you aren't a proper fan if you don't pay £10 to the club that has prompted that. My point is I have given more enough of my hard earned to justify picking and choosing when it is more convenient for me. There would be occasions when I would happily miss the first 30 mins and still pay on but at present i'm afraid not. You still seem to be missing the point that was raised the other day but I can't remember who by. When the club was struggling to pay the leccy bill you felt like a part of something. In turning football into a business, 'entertainment business at that', Blackburn will suffer just like every other club. You can't have it both ways. Anyway glad to see Bellamy get off the mark and hope this brings some confidence to the team, it will take a lot more than that sadly to bring some confidence to a lot of the fans.
  18. Anyone know the team for tonight?
  19. Yes Blueboy and we take that opportunity up most weekends, bloody expensive it is as well I might add. However there comes a point where enough is enough. It's easy to point out faults in others from the other side of the world, if you're so concerned you could always buy a seat anyway. Sponsor it maybe like Thendrog has suggested.
  20. Thing is Revidge on Saturday I know I will have a really good day out, footy excepted, so i'm happy to pay. Tonight even if I can get out of work not long after 6, I have to rush home and then rush up to the match and I might just make it. All for something that I don't eant to watch. Where is the sense in that? All this talk of supporting the club and loyalty is daft. Football has gone so far away from what it was in the 80's that you can't seriously think that you owe the club loyalty. In the 80's I remember John Haworth coming round the night before a game because they needed the lottery money my Dad collected. The club were reliant on the fans in those days. How were they repayed? By being left outside Spartak Moscow's ground ticketless and helpless because John Haworth couldn't help as he would have missed the match himself. You see loyalty is a two way thing RB. If I can't afford my season ticket next year do you reckon i'll get a discount because i've been loyal? I can't believe people seriously think we should pay money simply for the sake of it due to some kind of misguided loyalty. Football is now a business, an entertainment business. That entertainment is somewhat lacking at present so i'll be a little choosy about when and where I spend my time and money. If anyone has a problem with that then fine but you put down how much you've handed over to BRFC in the last 20 years and i'll put down how much I have and we'll see who is 'loyal'.
  21. TNR I'd go for the idea as well. I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way. Seriously though why not suggest it to the club?
  22. Well it's certainly riled me enough to think f**k you then I won't bother. I was wavering because I have to work late and to be honest because i'm so depressed by it all that i've had enough. Clearly the £500+ for my season ticket was wasted as i'm not a fan so I may as well not bother tomorrow.
  23. I think some of the posts are indeed over-reactions however we can't bury our heads in the sand. Many on this board, myself included, accepted last season but were hoping for much better football this time around. Sadly this hasn't been the case and with the fixtures we have coming up we probably can't afford to have a go at teams. We therefore have to be realisitc about the prospect of another long struggle and what it will do to the crowds. There simply don't appear to be goals in this team and the problem from last year has not been addressed. In the games against Spurs & Newcastle, we fairly dominated but both keepers were relatively under-worked. That has to be a worry. Similarly Hughes doesn't appear confident with his team at present. Tugay played the last 2 home games but then dropped this time, Jansen out,in,out, same with Kuqi. You talk about over-reactions but that lad was dropped after 3 games. It's not a crisis of course but it is very worrying, certainly more for the style of football that we are going to have to play as much as anything.
  24. Geordie at work said he was amazed at the formation we played and if we were to play 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 if you like then Bellamy shouldn't have been the lone man. He admitted that they were extremely fortunate but I think luck doesn't come into it when the options on the bench are amnesia man and the cart horse. I swear Kuqi tried to control the ball in the area and it rebounded for a throw in. I said at the time of Souness leaving that what finally turned me against him was the style of football. I will actually accept losing if i've seen a bit of decent football. Last season was fair enough for me but no more. I won't pay to watch crap football played by crap players. It's that straightforward really.
  25. Incidentally another of our former imports Yordi is now plying his trade with Mallorca and even scored at the weekend in a 5-2 win. Yes that's right 7 goals in a game, fancy that.
