However the guy who did the talk at Brisa was saying they got refunds plus costs for United fans ejected from home areas of the ground at Sunderland. I would think clubs would struggle to justify not giving you a refund.

Presumably the same as we sold out last year, in fact we have sold out the 3 years we have been and yet have never had a bigger allocation which seems strange.

I think the celebrations around Old Trafford spoke volumes to be honest. A very gutsy backs to wall victory celebrated as if they had won a cup final. The arrogant taunts thrown about by many united fans for years are coming home to roost. Also pretty pleasing to see the smug smile wiped off Mourinho as well.

How on earth can you take fans seriously when they barely bring 400 for a 3pm kick off after winning 5 in a row. It amazes me how quickly some of our 'own' fans are willing to slate our crowds. -

Very true he barely rates a mention in the Museum and certainly is not remembered with any fondness. It would be a massive risk for the President to appoint an unknown. -

I disagree. I think there are a large number of reasons to be optimistic at present and I think the fans can see that. The following at Liverpool spoke volumes for that as did the turnout against Leeds. I think the fans recognise that things are improving. I don't think one bad result will change that at present. -

January 1985 I think it was. Man United in the FA Cup, hanging off the railings at the Riverside. We lost but I enjoyed it immensely and still have the programme now. Only used to go to the odd game in those days when I could persuade my Dad to take me, but still managed to go to Wembley in 87 which was a special day. Missed out on a ticket for the FA cup match against Liverpool when Super Atko made his mark. It was that that convinced me to go every week so me and a mate made the trip every week from the following game I think it was Ipswich at home. -

Possibly but he seemed to be pretty angry rather than having a bit of banter which is what surprised me. -

Anyone know why Friedel was having a go at the fella who I think is the stadium safety officer. Big bloke with a tache & glasses usually near the tunnel at the end of games, the safety officer that is not Friedel. Brad was having a real go at him and pointing towards the Darwen End but couldn't tell what had gone on. -

Quite a bit more than I thought as well. When I walked out of the Moorings and saw the weather I thought it would put a few off, however when I got to the ground and saw the queues I was quite impressed at how many were still braving the weather. -

I think you're underestimating how well we have played when we have come up against teams wiling to play football like Charlton for instance. I would certainly be disappointed if we didn't beat them and would expect 6 points from the next four games which I think will just keep us in the top half. It all depends how much we have Bellamy available but if it is most of those games then i'd be confident, especially with the defence looking pretty solid. -

Can anyone tell me if the away game against Birmingham was always on a Wednesday or has it been moved? I don't remember seeing a Wednesday kick off before. -

Wigan's next two home games are 12.45 on sky so it will be interesting to see the figures especially as one is against Fulham who will probably bring about 50. I still think we'll average more but if they keep this run of form up their crowds will be higher than I thought they would. -

Typical nonsense from you Phil. Nobody has to rape. It's not ugly or desperate people that do it unless you know better. I agree that it is most unlikely he has done it but to give the reason that he had no motive as he could get it anywhere is just ridiculous. Not unexpected mind, but ridiculous all the same. -

Fair play I hold my hands up, my source was obviously not as good on this occasion. Incidentally there was a very good article at the weekend about Graham Stack the former Arsenal goalie who was cleared of rape at the weekend. It's rare you can feel much sympathy for footballers but he was pointing out that they are becoming easy targets for this at present and because of their fame obviously the press are lapping it up. It does seem harsh that the accuser can enjoy, if that's the right word, anonymity whilst the accused is judged by the nation as a whole. With most other crimes there isn't the stigma attached but obviously in these cases there is so maybe changes could be looked at. -

Well we'll be on the 10.01 from Manchester Victoria so if you are on the platform we'll look out for you. You should be fine with colours in Liverpool though it's always wise to have a jacket or jumper to cover up in case of problems. Saying that Liverpool is usually one of the friendlier away trips. cheers -

There is a few of us going from Manchester Victoria on the 10.01, not sure what the plan is from there but will no doubt be meeting up with a few more message board members for tea & scones. You're welcome to join us. -

Had a good first half for me. Flick on for the first set Owen through for another chance and held the ball up well. Putting himself about ok.
