  1. Some may see no way that we can lose 6th but a quick look at the fixtures shows Newcastle playing WBA, Birmingham and then finishing with Chelsea at home. Not the toughest of fixtures ever.
  2. Scored a number of crucial goals that went a long way towards keeping us up last season. Apart from that he's done nothing. Dickov is holding the team back of that there is no doubt but don't forget he did a good job at keeping us up, very short term memeories some fans.
  3. Dillo Dillo, good to meet you after the game thank you for the postcards. If you are in Manchester now have you been to the Art Gallery on Mosley St. Loads to see and do and the Portico Library nearby is supposed to be stunning.
  4. Slag 'our' fans all you want but it was a category a+ game so credit goes to the people that turned up, regulars and irregulars. I spoke to Glenn about his afterwards and I do feel there is a real buzz about the place and slowly maybe but the crowds will continue to rise.
  5. I reckon we need 9 points to guarantee 6th. Bolton have 3 easy home games and I can see them winning those, so a point at least tomorrow is a must. Come on Rovers keep it going.
  6. To be honest I think we are looking at needing around12 or 13 points to get 4th and I just can't see us getting that many. As long as we hold onto 6th i'll be delighted.
  7. Arse one up as well now Incidentally this game is a perfect example if why it's crap when have a fan/pundit doing the commentary on Soccer Saturday. I've been following the Arse v WBA match via an internet stream and the baggies are really pushing and have come close a few times. However if you were just following what Charlie Nicholas says you'd know know none of this. He said the goal was just a matter of time but it was their first attack of note in over 10 mins.
  8. Spurs winning 1-0 sadly. West Brom having a real go at the mo but no goal to show for it.
  9. So you can't remember but you still feel qualified to rant on about why the attendance was so high? Well to help you out it wasn't category B it was £5. Don't let facts get in the way of your rants though, you don't usually.
  10. And the cheaper tickets had nothing to do with it right?
  11. 4-2 now Viduka is class when he wants to be, great game.
  12. Yeah well it does sound good doesn't it. Incidentally Boro winning 3-1 now. Hopefully won't affect us but if Boro reach the cup final and win the Uefa then 7th gets Uefa as well.
  13. The clown that is Lua Lua has actually gone off injured after hurting himself doing his celebration.
  14. That was quicker than real time ;-) Have to say in reply to Philipl I thought the very same. They have sounded awful to me.
  15. Arsenal team tonight is surprising J Lehmann, J Djourou, S Campbell, K Toure, M Flamini, F Ljungberg, A Song Billong, V Diaby, J Reyes, T Henry, E Adebayor Subs: M Poom, D Bergkamp, R Van Persie, A Hleb, E Eboue Still very good but wuite a few rested.
  16. Fully agree with this. It's no good people just slating people for not going. Football has to change. All clubs will be affected by this. Most clubs are not selling out. Football is not the same as it was 20 or even 15 years ago. For every fan who has been attracted by the nice stadiums, many more have been put off because they don't enjoy it. No fan owes the club a living.
  17. I'm not talking about people who live 5 minutes away but still don't go. I'm talking about improving the game as a whole. Having all games back at 3pm on a Saturday is just one method. Either read things properly or go back to what you're good at, making silly twists on players names. Amauseless, hilarious indeed.
  18. We would sell less no doubt, however so would every other club and along with that the wages of players would have to drop. Something has to change and the televising of all games is inevitable. I prefer to watch games at the ground, others wouldn't but let them have the choice that is legal. Sky would lose their monopoly and the amount of money coming into the game would be slashed. In actual fact it is hypothetical because I can't see Sky sitting back and accepting this. You wouldn't expect them to sit back and allow companies to just to undercut them. If it was done properly i.e. having a blackout in a 30 mile radius of the ground then having live coverage of all games doesn't have to be a bad thing. Just because we are having a good season people shouldn't lose sight of the fact that the game is struggling and needs change. It requires imagination rather than making knee-jerk reactions to situations and labelling people with different opnions as not 'proper' fans they should take the time to look into things.
  19. For somebody who is supposed to be intelligient you don't half come out with some childish pathetic arguments at times. There are many reasons why having all games on tv would not be a bad thing. Do a bit of research instead of just spouting rubbish.
  20. Hopefully this will pave the way for all games to be live at 3pm. That way we won't have silly kick off times and people have the choice to go to the pub or thr ground. It works in other countries so why not here.
  21. According to the BBC the Norwegian team would play is Lillestroem. They are pretty handy are they not? I know we're hoping we will avoid the intertoto but would any of our Norwegian contingent fancy our chances against these?
  22. Apparently despite what we all thought 7 premiership teams applied, but only 3 publicly. Bolton have indicated they are one of the teams who have applied. Hopefully won't need it but nice trip to Norway and all the beers on Bjarte would be good ;-)
  23. To be honest I think we can kiss 4th goodbye now. We had to win either the Wigan or Pompey games to have a real chance. Bolton are doing everythin in their power to give up 6th though, and if we finish 6th I think it will be a great achievement.
