  1. End of the window after Rovers loan in 3 17 year olds and sign a 56 year old on a free: "It was a really strong window in my opinion, considering our hands were tied, confident we'll finish mid-table whilst Burnley will finish bottom. I'll be attending every match" Chadtster.
  2. Phillips has got Oxford written all over him this upcoming season. As for Finneran, if he goes to the oil boys at 15/16 I’d say it’s odds against he even plays a Premier League game for them ever. Will be loaned out every year, then eventually settle in to a Championship team (if he ends up good enough for that even). See Harwood-Bellis, Ethan Ampadu etc.
  3. How is Lavia not a fair comparison? I’d say £53m for half a season in a relegated premier league side shows us exactly how we got our pants pulled down. Bloody Keane Lewis-Potter went for £19m! I also had the Alex Scott example and the fact that Archie Gray will go for more (if Leeds even sell)
  4. Rumours that Leeds are demanding at least £35m for Archie Gray just shows what a shitshow Venkys, Waggott and Broughton made of the Wharton sale. A complete disgrace and some lauded over it as great business despite the likes of Lavia going for £50m+ and Alex Scott for £23m as well as countless further examples. Beggars believe how easy some have the wool pulled over their eyes. Venkys Out. Waggot Out.
  5. Leonard scored the same amount as Gallagher in the league this season in less than half the amount of minutes (836 vs 1,719) I thought he looked really good at times under JDT. Whether that materialises under Eustace-ball who knows. Regardless, we need a number 9 and he certainly isn't highest paid in the squad Sam Gallagher.
  6. All this 'record breaking opening day' stuff is complete nonsense anyway. It's a massive related contingency that we shifted more tickets on day 1 with the fact it's probably the latest tickets have ever gone on sale (or thereabouts anyway). We're shouting about 2k tickets approaching June whilst our very similar demographical rivals have surpassed 15k already.
  7. You’re being a bit disingenuous. Luton, Sheffield United and Burnley either get parachute payments or promotions I.e they have a huge advantage and more money to spend than everyone else
  8. Correct. Only 4 clubs with parachute payments next year. And one of them are starting with a points deduction, and another is Luton. Best opportunity in a long time for a well run and ambitious club (not us)
  9. But we're a 'digital' club - and we were told on here that we've spent millions on improving our technology so we should rightly be charging £10 to those in person. Some are beyond clueless.
  10. Now you've said it, I can't not see it!!!
  11. Regardless, i'd bet my final pound that the clubs financial report will still be lurking around that suspiciously magic -£20m number
  12. Hasn't Trafford been a laughing stock at Burnley and ended up losing his place? Would be a ridiculous call up, despite the likelihood of 0 minutes.
  13. It’s not a brilliant 11 but also not a complete laughing stock. Albeit I only really rate 4 or 5 as legitimate starters. HOWEVER, the issue comes with injuries (as it has in recent years). The bench you’d name after that 11 would be academy lads / non-league level players.
  14. It really is worrying times for us now I feel. Waggott has full control and he will be in full ‘topping up the pension’ mode. He has no care for our club at all, riding the gravy train as long as possible, which is indefinitely under these cretin owners
  15. I think we’ll do well to sell 5k now. In a 31k stadium. Waggott and Venkys are tearing this club to shreds, if he offers another contract to John Fleck whilst increasing the price of STs there should be mass protests and they should be aimed at HIM.
  16. Oh 100%. Was looking more at the likes of Hull, Boro, Coventry, maybe promoted clubs like Pompey or Bolton if they make it. The likes of Rovers and PNE haven’t a hope
  17. So only 4 clubs next season will have parachute payments, one of which will start on a points deduction. Burnley, Sheffield United, Luton and Leeds/Southampton. It’s said regularly at the start of the season about the league being ‘weakest in years’ - but it certainly feels like a good opportunity for ambitious clubs to have a proper go.
  18. The fact the likes of Duffy (drink driving mess of a man) and Barnes (2nd touch is a tackle) have managed to make the playoffs in this pretty dire Norwich side shows that pretty much any club can make the top 6 - I still wouldn’t hold any hope with our lot mind you. It does mean we’ll likely have to see a winner between Leeds United or Russell Martin
  19. Gunn in net for Norwich making Pears look like Gordon Banks
  20. I think people would swallow the 12:30 and 20:00 kick offs if it was reflected in a £200 season ticket or similar. It will obviously affect away attendances to all the grounds in the sticks. But if our ticket costs were off-set by the TV money, then as fans we would accept it far easier.
  21. The most worrying part of all that is he’d want to spend 2 and half million British pounds on Sorba Thomas
  22. So our academy player (from 6 years old) will be playing for Bayern Munich after leaving us 6 months earlier, and across our overall package, we will have received £1m less than the Alex Scott fee…….and you think we got a good deal? I know you toe the line, and incorrect on almost every opinion you’ve ever held but that’s still impressive.
  23. Sweet fuck all by the looks of it, especially here with no pot to piss in
