  1. It seems everyone wants to hand it to Cardiff (with Derby giving them a run) Points in the 3 games since return: Bristol C - 0 PNE - 1 Millwall - 2 Rovers - 3 Swansea - 4 Cardiff - 7 Derby - 9
  2. Exactly this. The spine of our team is easily top 6 quality, but that’s not even half the team. You’re right though, Tony can only blame himself, spending £12m on strikers without fixing CB#2, LB, any player with a remote bit of width.
  3. Season ticket sales are going to be shocking next year, whenever they actually go on sale that is. Season is over and Tony can only blame himself. So much deadwood in the team and it’s come to bite us in the arse. These lads don’t have the bite and hunger to progress like you’d get from Travis and Dack. They look disinterested. Squad needs a huge overhaul in the summer, and as much as I’ve defended Mowbray over time, he hasn’t shown he’s the man to do it. Too pally with them all, too many undeserved contracts. Cardiff, Swansea and Millwall all drawing too, when we’re coming away from Wigan and Barnsley with 0 points and -4 GD you can’t help but give up.
  4. Gives Tony his excuse anyway. Season is over, how much have we spent on strikers and we had Samuel starting today and we’ve scored 0 vs Barnsley and Wigan. Spineless as always
  5. Stupid challenge but it looked comical to be a red that.
  6. Ifollow suggesting we’ve had 71% possession in the first half....we didn’t touch the ball for 20 minutes.
  7. You were relating Lenihan missing a game to see the birth of his child with the club going bust.
  8. Lots to be frustrated about in that 1st half: - Shocking 20 minutes - Bradley Johnson is our 2020 Danny Murphy - Samuel no brain in the box I’d stick Brereton on at half time, if he plays like the last few games he’ll have more of an impact than Samuel. Still not convinced on this false 9 formation.
  9. That has escalated quickly from Lenihan missing Barnsley away to be at the birth of his child. Take a breather Stuart
  10. So you can only have time off for the birth of you baby if the team you play for has a good squad ?
  11. Already multiple times Walton just gives them the ball back. All the time in the world, full backs in space and he launches it. It’s pathetic.
  12. This is testament to just how poor Bristol City are
  13. Without our 3 most important players, and the spine of the team in Lenihan - Travis - Dack. Bookies giving us only a 33% chance of win, with Barnsley more likely at 37% chance. Read into that as you will but speaks volumes given they’re bottom of the league and there is no crowd.
  14. You’ll find Appleton, Ince, Coyle etc. filed under “poor poor” Mowbray may not be the man to lead us to promotion or even a top 6 finish but at worst he’s been a steady manager. We were league 1 not so long ago and since then numerous teams have come down with parachute payments, paying £40k+ a week still.
  15. Does anyone know if ifollow works on chromecast? i.e. can i watch it on the TV from my phone?
  16. We had Jack O’Connell until 22 (same age as a Wharton now), let him do the rounds on loan everywhere, now he’s playing in the top half of the Prem. I’d fully expect Wharton to be involved more next season and I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t.
  17. Regards Derby, their remaining fixtures are: Preston, Forest, West Brom, Brentford, Cardiff, Leeds and Birmingham That is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 16th. 6 of the top 7 in their last 7.
  18. New Nyambe - Lenihan - New - New Travis - Downing - Evans/Holtby Dack Armstrong Brereton With a view that Davenport, Buckley, JRC are all looking to break into the team and get regular appearances. The most important things to do in the summer: 1) Keep Travis, Nyambe and Lenihan 2) Keep Dack and Armstrong unless a ludicrous offer comes in 3) Sign a GK, CB, LB and a fit tenacious CM (similar to Travis) 4) Sell Smallwood, Samuel, Leutweler, Mulgrew, Johnson, Chapman(?) 5) Strengthen the squad with a 2nd CB signing and perhaps some width Then again, we’ve all been pretty much saying the above for 2-3 windows now.
  19. Had a play around (guess) at remaining results.... 72 points will almost certainly do it, but that means 16 points from 7 matches (never going to happen given 4 of these are top 10 teams) We need to win on Tuesday and need to win away in Cardiff. Then I’ll start believing. Lose on Tuesday and then start that rebuild for next season
  20. Need 6 points from it, with 3 of them at Cardiff. We’ll still have a sniff if we get that. Not holding my breath though.
  21. Yes, I agree, we can certainly do better. The fact Leutwiler is the number 1 keeper on our books speaks volumes. This alongside having to play Bennett at left back makes you scratch your head given we had 5 strikers in the match day squad today.
  22. I mean for the remainder of this season. You’ve conveniently named 2 academy keepers who didn’t make it at this level so I’ll raise you Raya and Fielding who both have in the Championship.
  23. It’s a funny one with keepers, they always get a hard time as mistakes are highlighted and when they’re good they rarely get the spotlight. However, I’m racking my brain and struggling to remember when Walton has SAVED us points, had a blinder and meant we got 3 rather than 1 point. Could an academy keeper be any worse? At least he would be one of our own for the future. Gallagher cannot start again given the other options we have. Tony is saving face for wasting money and a hell of a lot of wages. Rothwell? Not a top half Championship player at the moment. For a flair/luxury player he doesn’t offer enough. It’s not season over yet (Swansea lost to bottom of the league today so everyone will drop points). We were underdogs today, but it’s the kind of game we need to be winning. It just means we’re going to have to come out of that 4 game horror run with more than 6 points which is very unlikely.
  24. In fairness with Bennett there isn’t much of a better option available currently with injuries. I do scratch my head at Gallagher when we have Armstrong and Graham sat on the bench though who offer something different/better.
