The guys on here who jumped the gun laughing as Nyambe only got a 1 year contract at Wigan and didn’t start the first two games (just to suit their agenda)……now putting in a MOTM performance at right wing back as we rely on Travis there

What is this brand of football? I’m honestly baffled when I see this, is it possession based? Pressure based? Counter attack based? I’m being genuine I’ve no idea when I see comments like this what people think our ‘style’ is. The only consistent is that we struggle to string 5 passes together.

Wharton and Hirst the two to come off for me and move Travis into the middle. Glad we have 12 points thanks to that 3 game start or I’d be seriously worried about relegation.

It’s simple - some of these lads should not even be in the squad, they should be on loan in league 1, let alone on the pitch relying on them to get us back into a game

I posted this the other day but there are 4 players finishing this game that I’d not even have in the squad if fully fit. We needed to do more in the transfer window than just replace the first team players who we let leave for free. It was a poor window looking how we’ve ended up versus last season.

We’ve been served up some dirge this season. But you can’t expect anything from a season when you lose at home to Bristol City and Stoke. Still yet to be convinced JDT has a game plan despite all this ‘high press’ nonsense. Not seen us put pressure on a single player yet. HT subs weren’t right and still playing a system that is ineffective here.

If we’re going to be this ‘high press’ team that we keep hearing is JDTs style then: 1) we don’t have the physical attributes to do so (such a slow and weak team) 2) Hirst is 100% not the striker for that role.

They’ve scored 12 already, more than most in the league, they’ll be fine. Agree about Grant though, don’t rate him much. They’ll kick on when Dyke is back from injury.

I think WBA are a really good team, watched them a few times this season and it’s just not dropping in the net for them (xG anyone?). Missing their main striker but they will be top 6 this season no doubt. By far the better team here tonight.
