  1. Rovers need: - To beat Bournemouth (H) and Birmingham (A) And 2 of the 3 below: - Middlesbrough drop points in any of their 3 games (i.e don’t get 9 points) against Cardiff (H), Stoke (H) or PNE (A) - Luton lose against both Fulham (A) and Reading (H) - Sheffield United pick up a maximum of 3 points from QPR (A) and Fulham (H)
  2. More fans there than expected. It was one I planned to fly in for until it was moved to Monday (I was grateful for that after Easter!) I though Lenihan was superb at RB. Waggott will be happy we might shift a few more for Bournemouth now
  3. Comical from the referee. It’s pure incompetence.
  4. First time in a while that Diaz has looked fit and my god we’re so much better when he is.
  5. We’ve turned up again now Bruce has confirmed he’s staying at WBA next season 😉
  6. The Tombola strikes again
  7. They’re so out of touch it’s beyond belief. Record home defeat, Record losing runs and expect record low crowds to be added to this lots honours. The difference in income between £429 and £299 =~ a year of Daniel Ayala’s wages give or take, and that’s without accounting for any increase on the 8,000 that lowering the price may add. It’s just so minuscule in the grand scheme of things yet it’s crushing our fan base. Our cheapest adult season ticket will be in the top 5 most expensive in the league next year. The cut-off point for the price freeze too, wow, it’s like that idiotic match day surcharge all over again. He gets paid £300k a year for this!!!! (which rather conveniently is quite close to the £30 increase x 8,000)
  8. Is that ever surprising? He’s always desperate for at least 3 changes each match. It just depends whose name comes out the tombola.
  9. It wouldn't make much sense that Travis and Kaminski both signed new deals would it? Also not a chance that Rothwell or Nyambe would want to play under Mowbray elsewhere (Lenihan is the only plausible player in this scenario)
  10. Spineless, pathetic and useless, Gally the only player who can come off with his head held high and being one of his loudest critics it’s pleasing to say that. He looked like the player he can be, while Diaz looked unfit. Starting Bradley Johnson was just pure Tombola Tony….(Gallagher LB, Johnson False 9 etc). Then the irony of Josh Maja dominating our lot too felt too much to watch. My only enjoyable moment was the 30 seconds of Stoke fans singing Only One Jack Walker. Mowbray has butchered this so much. Rock bottom 24th over the last 15 games. Man of honour my arse
  11. I just want a bit of passion and fire now, it’s just so predictable and depressing. Get shot and get Ainsworth, not only would he have the desire and ambition (not just topping up the pension like Tony) but he also deserves the crack, he got Wycombe to the championship and got stung out of keeping them up. People forget Mowbray had just failed at League 1 Coventry (look at them since) when we got him. He isn’t good enough for our club, he was a 3rd division failure.
  12. Came to watch Chorley today instead and hoped to keep my head out of Rovers for my sanity. If we were down to 10 men I actually think Nyambe is the 1st player in that team I want playing. Pace, strength and versatility. Get out Tony
  13. In fairness, we've only won 1 away from home this year! 1-1 draw and cement 8th place
  14. Fixtures below for anyone still holding on to a bit of hope.... I agree with a post above that 75 points feels like a safe number (means Rovers need to win 4 out of 5!) - 6 points at Easter is absolute paramount Though i'd say it's just 1 place from 3 in Luton, Boro and Rovers. With Forest, Huddersfield and Sheffield Utd making up 3rd-5th That Sheffield United away match really was devastating. Missed penalty and a few sitters followed by a last minute winner for them. A 6 point swing there and it's a completely different story. Fulham still have to play Luton and Sheffield Utd so lets hope their lot don't head to the beach early.
  15. Sneaky feeling that Forest will catch Bournemouth. I’d rather play Bournemouth myself if we do somehow sneak into 6th
  16. Peterborough should have won that, unlucky at the end. It’s still points dropped for Luton. 8th looks nailed on for us now. Teams below us not good enough to catch us. Tomorrow Boro home to Fulham Forest home to Coventry
  17. Fully agree with that. Wouldn’t fancy 2 legs against Forest though! Sounds like Peterborough are battering Luton so hopefully they can nick a goal. Regardless, we need 4 wins from our 6 as 74 points looks a minimum need…..and I can’t see that happening regardless of who we have to play.
  18. Every pundit has been saying it for months, even the muppets they have in the sky studio were saying it during the death spiral.
  19. Dolan scores his first goal for his country, probably on the biggest possible high, then sits in the bench for 90 minutes. Mowbray logic I’m absolutely devastated by that, Luton draw, Sheff Utd lose, what an opportunity for us going into a home match. Edit: just noticed darrenbot said the same above
  20. DACKYYYY! Who would have thought it! Please be the kick start we all need!
  21. Wing Backs: Less said the better. Both are L1 standard Buckley: Anonymous Rothwell: Even more anonymous - shouldn’t be anywhere near our first 11 for the rest of the season. He’s playing as a poor holding midfielder here. Gallagher: It’s all been said, every week Van Hecke: Red card waiting to happen. At least he’s got some passion Giles: 1 good cross to every 4 that hit the first man Our only hope is we kept it at 1-0 (by fluke) and we have another player revolt here. The season is over though. Bottom half is more likely than playoffs now.
  22. Harsh on Van Hecke. I’m actually ashamed he’s the man with most passion and commitment out there and he’s on loan and gone in a few weeks
  23. Wing backs don’t work when those wing backs are JRC and Pickering. They’re just not athletes - miles off the likes of Spence, Jones etc. who play in this formation also pushing promotion.
  24. Somebody in another thread linked to the 2 other worst collapses in Championship history. Both were Boro…..Both were Mowbray.
