He tinkers more than Mowbray, and he’s offering a worse product to watch (yeah yeah Johnson false 9, Gallagher RB, Fulham 7-0….but at least with Mowbray we’d have a flutter of excitement for a few games to surround the calamities). Am I right in thinking since the Blackpool game that Wharton and Dack have only played about 45 minutes? Its the only time we’ve actually looked like a Football team that could do anything. We’ve looked atrocious in the 4 or 5 games since bar a period against a disinterested Watford team

Pickering is having a very good first 20. Travis anonymous. Take the shithousery out of his game and he’s basically Jason Lowe. No speed, strength or skill really that would surpass the lower end of the Championship.

Good assessment of the splits, but very little, to no Burnley in Chorley. Would go Rovers/Bolton prob not much between them then PNE even before Burnley. (Obviously majority are wearing United or Liverpool unfortunately). Train line has definitely helped the Bolton support there. Get 1k or so attending the magpies now, though a lot of them see it as a 2nd club.

It was only a few days ago everyone was saying ‘I feel sorry for Dack - he can’t fit into this team’ etc etc. Baffling as it was a game or two after his Blackpool assist and we have very little to no creativity without him.

Hard to know how much to take into account just how poor Watford were. Not seen many worse performances than that 1st half. Looked like they were throwing it almost. Never the less, back 3 were great. Hyam looks superb and suddenly CB looks like our strongest position in the squad (finally!) Great energy and like chalk and cheese compared to Bristol City and Stoke City matches.

What is this brand of football? I’m honestly baffled when I see this, is it possession based? Pressure based? Counter attack based? I’m being genuine I’ve no idea when I see comments like this what people think our ‘style’ is. The only consistent is that we struggle to string 5 passes together.

I’m often a critic of the man but we’re also missing Gallagher. Dolan the best player for us on the pitch. Deserves to hold his place. Replacing Dack and Hedges at half time a proper head scratcher. Wharton and Hirst the two to come off for me and move Travis into the middle. Glad we have 12 points thanks to that 3 game start or I’d be seriously worried about relegation.
