Express is reporting about the value of premiership status for clubs as from next season as clubs will each recieve £35 million a year each in TV money alone!! Its basically on about the west ham sacking asnd saying that its the reason pardew had to go, however it also mentions that other investors are looking at Newcastle, Man City & BLACKBURN. Fingers crossed! -
Also i was one of the ones booing. And im proud of it - because i dont like to see overpaid players playing in the famous blue and white if they cant be assed giving 100% for the fans who pay their wages!

2-0 rovers. Our current team is more suited to europe as we dont have lots of pace. That is one issue that needs sorting out in January. -
Neill was pathetic on saturday and if i was Hughes i would of took him off at half time. He doesnt want to play for the club and he doesnt deserve to wear the shirt no more - simple! Take the armband off him and also stick him in the reserves. As for new captain - Savage, Ooijer, Friedel! Its a team full of leaders

I cannot believe that anyone can Hate Man Utd more than the likes of Chelsea or Arsenal. Chelsea have took the meaning of ‘buying the title’ to a new meaning. How much have they spent since Abramovich took over? Anyone know? Utd were hated by most because they were the best team in the league. They do however have a massive support (All be it that many are glory hunters), and it is much bigger than the likes of Arsenal or Chelsea. They are a class team and yes they have players that individuals don’t like – i.e. Ronaldo or Ferdinand – however most don’t like them because they are class players. I hate Chelsea & Arsenal more than Utd for many reasons. Mainly down to the arrogance and cockiness of the cockneys! I hate their attitude and their teams also carry that same attitude. I wish someone like rovers, Bolton or Everton would just kick the crap out of them in one game and not worry about the media circus and their poor comments. Like someone said with the likes of Arsenal or Chelsea you aint allowed to defend, or tackle unless you want to upset them. United aint as bothered, if you want a battle then usually the likes of Rooney, Smith, Scholes will give as good as they take.

With our injury list – I will say 3-0 United. Missing both Reid and Savage will prove costly here I think! Hope im wrong though!

I hope that in January the club bring in either that Norwegian fella who was linked in summer (Pedersen’s mate) or David Dunn. After the transfer window it was key that we didn’t lose 2 of the 3 midfield men of Savage, Tugay and Reid. Unfortunately we have lost 1 long term, savage has picked up a few niggles and Tugay cant play 90 minutes, game after game! As for Gallagher – what more could he of done??? For a start he could have stuck with Hayden Mullins from the corner and therefore stopped us from conceding the 2nd goal! -

I would also like to add that I thought Ooijer played very well and has done for the last few games. He is getting better and better. Another good signing! We just need to get some of our absentees fit and quick! As for Peter, in his 1st premier league game of the season I think he did very well. His confidence will grow as he plays more 1st team games. He put far more effort in than several senior members did! As for Gallagher I think that if they gave him a try in central midfield then they would find that it would be more suited to his play. He has the ability to pick passes and he is a big enough lad to put himself about. Just a shame he hasn’t shown it so far! -

From our 1st choice team – we had Nelsen, Reid, Pedersen, Savage, Emerton and Nonda missing. Now going off last season the 1st 4 were our best 4 players (Excluding bellamy). Add to that we then lost our 3rd choice striker early on. Now a few things I hate on this board are the amount of people who praise Gallagher – He was poor yesterday AS ALWAYS. Andy Gray even slated him for not making runs to the back post when the ball came in from the left and also he was at fault for their 2nd goal. Now how was that a good performance? He is poor and if he wants to prove himself then he needs to start putting the effort in when given the chance! Mokoena wasn’t as bad as some people make out – he was the one in the middle who was closing people down. I read somewhere above that Tugay was Class? When? His passing yesterday was terrible, especially for the 1st 60 minutes. Gray is crap and always has been and therefore Jay should be given his chance there. As for slating Peter like some people are – its crazy! He put in as much effort as anybody yesterday and it was obvious that he was causing a nuisance of himself as he made himself a hate figure with the West Ham fans, he was up for the battle! Now tell me in a game like that would Pedersen of shown himself as much? I doubt it very much! As for their 1st goal, yes you can try and blame people but Teddy Sheringham is class at what he does and he has done it against all the best defences for years. Once he started to move towards the box it was obvious what was going to happen. The problem yesterday was we lacked a little creativity, missed too many key players (Especially Savage and Nonda) and also our delivery into the box wasn’t good enough. -

I felt that last night we held back abit from getting stuck in, maybe a little put off by the bully boy tag we would get again from Mourinho. Instead they were the dirty team. Did anyone see Ashley cole kick out at Jason Roberts?! Very Naughty! He also got wound up by the lower blackburn end. -
Or alternatively. Game on sunday just gone in which alot of confidence will of been damaged by the way we lost a game we controlled. 2 european home games to pay for, aswell as away ones for many, away games against West Ham, Villa on sale. Chelsea team missing superstars - Lampard, Shevchenko, Drogba, Carvaliho, Cech. Rovers team missing - Savage, Tugay, Reid, Nelsen, Ooijer. 15,000 aint bad - not when you consider 25,000 at Newcastle when they usually get 50,000+

Agree 100% there! McEveley got better as the game went on and after half time, robben didnt make too many runs at Jay as he realised he was struggling to get passed him. Considering it was his 1st game and against one of the best wingers in the league, i think McEveley did well and id like to see him given more opportunites. Same goes for Peter - He injected pace and belief into our team and he looked like he was willing to take his man on. If he is given the room to develop then i think he can be a top quality winger. -

The subs used said it all: Rovers: Roberts (£2 million), Peter (Youth), Jeffers (Free) Chelsea: Drogba (?), Wright Phillips (£21 million), Lampard (Offers around £30 million + deco being mentioned) We were without Savage, Tugay, Ooijer, Reid, Nelsen and also lost Nonda and Pedersen to injury. Following on from that Bentley and Emerton weren’t playing in their normal position. On the Injuries – Pedersen expected to be fine for Sunday, Nondas injury not as bad as first thought, x-ray showed no injury and he now has a sore shin. I expected us to Lose and i think that we would be best concentrating on Europe instead -
[Archived] Ticket Office Telephone Bookings

I blame nobody. The club is doing everything they can - like someone mentioned prior to yesterday there was about 6 or 7 games on sale! -
14,732 aint bad for last night I don’t think. Some major factors against people going last night would be the long journey from London, weekday night match, terrible weather and also the possibility of 2 weakened teams. I think the rovers are doing a great job in giving plenty of offers out on tickets and I think that the Ticket Office and John Williams should be praised. Whichever Moron mentioned earlier that the club was shooting themselves in the foot because there was a half-hour queue then answer this ‘What else can the club do to help you’? Would you like them to have a personal telephone line just for you to get your ticket, then pick you up in a limo, drive you to the game and then feed and water you, before letting you sip champagne from your seat and then finally being chauffeured home?” Get a grip and support your club!! Stop moaning over a minor things which are bound to happen given the amount of tickets currently available for up and coming games.

I heard this morning also that Sav was out for 3 weeks too. Not sure where the guy at work heard that though. Iv not seen anything about it to be honest. Id like to see Axe, Peter and Roberts given a chance. And maybe also Gray or McEveley at left back. -
There was spare seats in the lower JW areas. Good crowd. 10k up on last season so the club cant say it doesnt work. I think the rovers should try another option. Under 16s go free with adult tickets. Celtic used to always do it.

All the critics on here can stick it! We lost our first game for about 8 or 9 and yes we missed penalties, but we still scored a perfectly legitimate goal which wasn’t given. If Zurab’s header was given, which it should have been as replays show it about 3 inch over the line, then we would have been 1-0 up and I don’t think Bolton would of gone home with just 1 goal conceded against. We battered Bolton, we outplayed Bolton, it was just one of those days where the ball wouldn’t go in. 62% Possession to rovers, 20 shots vs. 6. We absolutely battered them. Well done rovers for outplaying one of the most disciplined teams in the league and well done for the reduced ticket price. We deserved at least 1 point, but really should of got all 3. Anyway not to worry. Chelsea next up, followed by West Ham away. P.S – I hate Bolton and they have to the luckiest team in the league. Also Diouf needs putting down, he is like a wild dog!
-
5600 tickets sold by bolton - good news! However i hate the fact that the paper and BWFC wont accept that the price is what is attracting the extra fans back. Well Done Blackburn Rovers FC for the price initiative! They deserve 100% of the credit

[Archived] Wisla Krakow Match Chat
Hughesy replied to albionus's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
My view on last night. 1st 30 minutes we had control of the game and it looked too easy. Until they got a fluke of a goal against the run of play. Up to half time from the 30th minute they did alright and could have maybe nicked another. 2nd half rovers went into 2nd gear and to be honest were simply too good for Krakow. Nonda did some great work and was unlucky not to score and we could have easily won the game by the end. However in the end Roberts did some good, strong work and created the goal that Bentley tucked away. Bentley played really well, however calls for England are premature. He still needs to prove himself a little bit more consistently at domestic level. Pedersen is lacking confidence and hopefully he will bag a free-kick on Sunday. That should kick off his season. Surprised that Peter wasn’t on the bench – whats happened with him? 1 other point – Ooijer & Zurab are starting to work well together. Master Hughes looks to of pulled of another good signing. SMALL TOWN IN EUROPE! WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! Also how is Savages back injury?? Anyone know??
