  1. Already seen 1st team action = Jemal Johnson – Gally – Peter – Derbyshire Not far off = De Vitta - Barker – Andy Taylor – Kane – McEveley – Garner Plenty of names there, just up to them to show how much they want it and I believe they will get their chance, as Hughes has shown with Peter
  2. With a £4m bid being received from Pompey we should make our position clear to them and Arsenal and tell them to triple that bid! Otherwise forget it! Surely then that would put those rumours to bed!
  3. The club really needs to get into the merchandise for cars. There is the mini kits or the stickers and bolton & leeds alsodo like a vinyl sticker for the car which is the outline of the club badge. Fair enough they dont make the club millions but they do however advertise the club on the roads. We want our MINI KITS BACK!!!!!!!
  4. According to the Lancashire Telegraph rovers are ready to make him one of the highest paid at the club by offereing him new terms, for the 2nd time in 12 months. If he does go, which going off his comments i doubt then we must hold out for at least £8 million as that is what West Brom are holding out for with Curtis Davies
  5. Hit the nail on the head there – simple Chelsea didn’t want Duff going to Tottenham or Liverpool and make them stronger and Abromovich has got that much money that he can afford to make sure he didn’t.
  6. According to the Lancashire Telegraph we are not interested in Valencia.
  7. Newcastle’s midfield is looking very good now. Duff, Parker, Emre, Solano, Butt, Milner, Dyer They need to sign 1 top class striker and possibly 2 defenders and they could have a very strong starting line up. As for Duff or MGP – id rather we stuck with MGP & Peter than pay £10 million for Duff + £70k a week in wages
  8. Good result & good workout against a very good team. Looks like Hughes Is giving Gally his chance in pre-season. Hopefully he will take his chance. McEveley needs to be sold to a Championship club. How has Douglas looked so far in pre-season?
  9. Good to hear that Roberts injury is expected to be minor according to Hughes on SSN. It was just a slight tweaked groin.
  10. Doubt families would agree with you who have to pay the prices for their kids. Lonsdale is very cheap to buy and therefore making it more afordable for families. Cant see a big name sponsor like Nike or whoever doing shirts as cheap as them. So from that point of view - i think your wrong.
  11. Its not Man United's debt though, its his
  12. More debt maybe, but more managable and now no longer can the banks take over & run the club. Glazer is a very clever man. He has reduced the annual payments by £28 million, they have secured a £14 million a season AIG sponsorship deal, they will from now on have extra revenue from up to 8000 extra seats and they are also looking to announce a new TV deal soon. Aswell as the Sky TV packages that are now worth more money to clubs from next season (07/08) I think the man is very clever and knows exactly how to go about his business.
  13. Probably offer him another contract to be honest - possibly a 1 year deal with the club having the option of an extra 1 year
  14. For those who dont have access: Tickets from now on only available from Accy. Tickets WILL be on sale on the day/ night of game.
  15. 5 - 1 rovers. Roberts 2, Kuqi 1, Pedersen 1, Reid 1
  16. Couldnt we start some sort of petition type thing to get backing to show that fans would like the two-halved style kit for the away too and that it is kep mainly the same but tweaked over the years like the home kit?
  17. Just remembered wigan have that song that comes on for Jason Roberts when he scored that goes to some tune like below: Not sure but its goes: D..D..D..D, Jason Roberts
  18. FACT - Man united and Arsenal couldn’t handle Roberts last season – Enough said!
  19. Just got a paper and according to the star it also says £1 million. Id be very suprised if we paid £3 million for a player who doesnt have long on his contract left, not willing to sign a new one, and speaking out about how the club has been disrespectful.
  20. Very interesting work by the board and Hughes. In: Brown (Free), Jeffers (Free), Roberts (£1 million) Out: Gresko (Free), Amoruso (Free), Dickov (Free) & Bellamy (£6.5 million) So far we are around £5 million up, with what must be much less on the wage structure. To think that we if Coventry rumours are correct that we could get £1 million for Kuqi, yet only have to spend £1 million on Roberts is top class business by JW and Hughes.
  21. According to the media reports – rovers paid an amazing price of around just £1 million. Now that’s a bargain. For those who are moaning for this signing think about it for 1 minute. He scored 14 goals whilst playing for Wigan. Now with a better team around him (No disrespect to Wigan) and a better group of coaching staff, you would only expect even better things of him. Roberts has strength and pace and determination and with the right partner, they will bag more goals than our forwards did last season.
  22. If Arsene Wenger paid £10 million for him then their is obviously something there. AW is rarely wrong when it comes to signing players. Hopefully the rovers fans will give him his chance.
  23. 40/1 on Crespo & the Argies to win Still in with a shout too! He got credited that goal so he is on 3
  24. Any ideas as to how many we have actually sold though?? Come on Lee you must know?
  25. Nice statement from Reidy and nice to see him being so positive. One thing is clear - it is vital to our club that for the next few years we keep hold of Hughes & all his backroom staff. They are doing a great job. Also John Williams has been top class. Carry on the good work!
