    RIP Tashor

RIP Tashor - you were one of my favourite posters and will be sadly missed. Condolences to your family.
  2. This is very odd if you can get it to work. Spinning Woman Illusion My brain hurts.
  3. How many basketball passes can you count... You'll either be gobsmacked by this if it works on you, or just shrug your shoulders and think think "that was a bit rubbish" if it doesn't. Anyway, the interesting bit is about 2 min 45 into the lecture if you want to fast forward - although the chap is quite a good speaker if you are interested in such things.... http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=22018
  4. 3 and 3 is my choice. Home shirt choice 2 sets a bad precedent for me - red swirly bits on the front. Don't mess with the blue and white halves!
  5. There are 50 films hidden in the picture. 26 so far..... http://www.mms.com/us/dark/
  6. He went into graphic detail didn't he. Made me feel queasy eating my HT pie! Did you notice that he said he thought Christmas was being optimistic, but something to aim for
  7. What a happy lot you are. We've drawn a top club at home in the cup. Rejoice.
  8. Blinkin heck, do you know it's never occurred to me until you pointed it out! My avatar even has a Claret and Blue look about it as well Off to find a new avatar... changing name may be more difficult.
  9. Not watched it again, don't think I can bear to. One thing to remember is that the tackle from behind was judged very differently to the way it is judged today by refs.
  10. Scotty - your post really brought it all back to me - I think I had mentally blocked it out. Awful memories walking back to the car with my Dad, palace fans gloating every step of the way. Not just run of the mill banter either. Easily my worst day supporting Rovers - I dont think anything will ever come close. Garner tells a story how Ian Wright had some kind words after the game so at least one person on the Palace side had some class in victory. Shame a good proportion of the fans didnt. I remember the ball being prevented from going out of play by the wall of fans standing at the side. Scandalous set of circumstances that should never have been allowed to develop for a game of that stature, or indeed any stature. Ooh, it's all coming out. I could go on for hours but I'll stop now.
  11. Only 2% of the worlds population are supposed to be able to solve this problem (according to Einstein who set it). http://www.manbottle.com/trivia/einstein_s_riddle
  12. Type in a sentence and it will sing it for you.... http://www.sr.se/P1/src/sing/index.htm?key=VERALWJG# you need to allow popups in your browser
  13. http://www.lowmorale.co.uk/creep/flash/creep_FLASH.asp Acoustic version of Creep by Radiohead combined with a superb animation as well. Click on "Watch" when it eventually appears.
  14. Planet size comparison - also scroll down to find out how REALLY big some stars are... http://www.spinnoff.com/zbb/viewtopic.php?t=17423
  15. http://bootgamer.com/swf/submachine.swf Managed to get 3 pieces of the puzzle so far ...
  16. If you use firefox as your browser, I can highly recommend the "StumbleUpon" extension for finding really interesting stuff on the web that you wouldn't otherwise find. It allows you to specify a range on interests, you then click on the "Stumble" button and it randomly takes you to a website. If you like it, click on a button and it saves the link against your account (so you can easily find it later). Stumble also allows you to see the stumbles of other users that like the same sites that you like. Certainly worth a look.
  17. The settlement amount would have to appear on the end of year accounts, wouldn't it?
  18. They packed in at the Blackburn end as well. I think today's gate needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. The stadium was looking very empty at KO time but filled out a lot after about 15 mins. Possibly should have delayed the KO due to the number of fans still outside.
  19. I think it was when the stadium became all seater.
  20. His pass threaded between two West Ham players, with the ball at waist height, early in the build up to the third goal was sublime. Awesome player indeed - and will be sorely missed and pretty much irreplaceable when he's gone.
  21. George did a charity match at Lytham once, the pitch was like a mub bath. He played in pumps and was the only one who could stay on his feet. Just wonderful, wonderful balance.
  22. I agree. I can only assume they are different incidents from the game. Come to think of it, the bottom picture rather looks like Lucas, but I may be wrong.
