  1. Exactly what we needed!
  2. If he wanted to play so badly for Rovers then why didn't he accept our offer many weeks ago? IMO, he was holding out for a better offer but nothing turned up!
  3. IMO, Downing had no other offers so rocks up at Ewood to gross a few hundred thousand pounds - nice work for some! I would have told him to do one. We want players who only genuinely want to play for Rovers and not because, IMO, no other fecker wants them. IMO, another crass move - smacks of desperation from an increasingly desperate manager. Also, would think he has to be at least a month away from any sort of match fitness
  4. As the match will get the 'full sky monty', i think there is going to be even more pressure on Mowbray. If Warnock and M'boro do a real job on Rovers, it just might make the Pune mob sit up and wonder wtf is going on and what if!!! One can only live in hope. If we get spanked and Mowbray goes, it will be a good night.
  5. It was tactical (didn't want a red following early booking)- Warnock confirmed in post match presser.
  6. Nowt seems to have changed much on injury front since Saturday. Looks like Rothwell might be back but Armstrong looking a doubt. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18837951.adam-armstrong-adds-name-growing-rovers-injury-list/ Seems like Kaminski and Ayala still out with groins!!!
  7. According to Sharpe, looks like Pears in goal again. Doubt Ayala will fancy it much against a strong and aggressive Warnock team. Sounded like Rothwell really struggling with his back.
  8. Tuesday's team will be interesting. Sharpe reporting Pears likely to be in goal again - think he'll be shaking in his shoes as he knows Warnock will have plans to 'rough him up. Doubt Ayala will play - he knows what Warnock teams are like and, IMO, wont fancy it. As for Armstrong, will be staggered if we see him before the end of the international break - to me, looked as though he shouldn't have played yesterday with what looks like a hamstring issue.
  9. No evolution or slow build with Warnock. Gets results and fast...................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We really do pick, IMO, some feckin clowns.
  10. In a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Agree as is the other £10million 'wonder kid' Buckley. God, these 'football people'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. and I think it's pretty clear I've been proven right. I would never, ever have appointed him in the first place as I've stated since he first joined us.
  13. I'd offer Dyche whatever salary it takes and a 10% shareholding if he gets us up in the next two seasons.
  14. FFS man, we are abysmal and that's your best response!
  15. Gallagher for Brereton - FFS, just do one Tony and get the feckin Greek lad in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Surely, with all these chances we must score at least one?! Strangely enough, since half time, feels like we could win this now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. This is awful. Mulling over what to do next. Stick with it and open another bottle of red or go to the local for an early tea as we'll all be living like monks next week. Just stuck a tenner on Swansea to win 4-1 at 70/1.
  18. Winterburn was a decent defender and became 'a defensive coach' and, IMO, was hopeless at it. You need the right mindset. Howard Kendall had it, Mark Hughes had it, Big Sam had it.
  19. Longer Armstrong stays on the bigger the risk of a tear and a long absence. Warning signs have been there. IMO, wont make the 60 minute mark.
  20. Can't call tomorrow's match - unusually, I've no gut feel! We can be as bad as we can be good! If I'd to put money on it, I'd go for Swansea given our record against top six teams is played 3, lost 3, goals conceded 10.
  21. 80 league games in Bulgaria's top league including Europa experience for a start in comparison to 20 appearances Pears seems to have scrambled together for M'boro over a number of years. Pears was one of the most nervous / unconvincing debuts I've seen from a Rovers' goalie.
  22. Appointing managers on the so called cheap is a nonsense when you were in then for some £130million+ which has now risen to almost £200million+. Would you allow KwikFit or ATS to service your Bentley or the local school art teacher to restore your newly discovered Rembrandt!? Pay peanuts and get monkeys. The three key appointments for any football club, IMO, are the football manager, the chief scout and the CEO. IMO, our three are 3rd rate.
  23. Think this is Mowbray getting his excuses in already! https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18829099.rovers-boss-left-frustrated-early-season-unavailability/ All teams are in the same boat with injuries and coronavirus - it's par for the course. Also, it was Mowbray's actions, or inaction more likely, in the window which resulted in either 3 or 4 signings on the last day of the window. For all the so called planning and different lists, to get to the last day of the window to make what's perceived as crucial signings is a nonsense. There was nothing to stop him wheeling and dealing in the 'close season', just as countless other Rovers' managers have had to do. One poster claimed it was Lenihan for whom we turned down a £10million bid - if that's correct, it's worse, IMO, than paying £5million for Gallagher! Just feckin sick of, IMO, excuse after excuse and trite soundbite after trite soundbite. IMO, the day Mowbray leaves Ewood (and i will open a bottle of my finest red in celebration) will be a day perhaps when a replacement brings hunger, dynamism, positivity and innovation to the club.
