  1. I think we need a real spanking for the likes of Waggott and our owners to realise things just aren't right. I think Mowbray is a busted flush and the sooner it's realised by those who make the decisions, the sooner action can be taken to prevent the crack in the dam from breaking and perhaps sinking our club.
  2. So, is Mowbray in charge of football affairs at Ewood or not or is he a mere puppet - if a puppet, surely this man of values or integrity would not put up with it. July 2017: Ben Benson believes he has been handed an 'unbelievable opportunity' after signing a long-term contract as the club's new Goalkeeping Coach. Benson admits he owes a huge debt of gratitude to manager Mowbray for retaining his servives and he believes the Rovers boss has created the perfect working environment for the club's keepers to prosper. "I'm unbelievably grateful," added Benson. "He's given me an unbelievable opportunity, of which I'm very, very grateful for. Doesn't sound like he had to work with Benson to me. The buck stops with the manager.
  3. Didn't Mowbray promote Lowe to 1st team coach and give Benson a new contract as goalkeeping coach? I think Lowe is an uninspiring individual and he never impressed me when I saw him with the Academy - I just can't see a spark there. As for Benson, I think he looks like a little boy lost. Against Wigan, he came out approx 2 minutes before the 2nd hald was due to start and stood there waiting for Raya - Raya eventually turned up, seemingly in his own time, after having kept Benson waiting for approx 2 minutes. Benson then kicked/threw 3 'shots' at him and that was it, 2nd half began. I think that showed a lack of respect for Benson and, IMO, therein lies the problem - just what has Benson done in the game to either mentor / improve Raya or command respect from Raya.
  4. Some on here advocating Mowbray should be retained in some capacity eg Director of Football. One simple question - why? I think Mowbray is a busted flush if he ever was one and has nothing further to offer our club in a football capacity. Some are saying he needs to change his coaching staff. It's nonsense - who appointed them, who oversees their work? The buck stops with Mowbray. On all footballing fronts, I think Mowbray is failing. IMO, we are physically and mentally unfit, our team is disorganised, tactically, we are all over the place, in the main our football is primitive and dire and player trading is awful with £10m+ committed on Brereton, Armstrong, Davenport and Rothwell and for what? As for team spirit. I think we have taken some hammerings this season and performances were desperate. Where was this much famed team spirit at the likes of Bristol, Preston, Wigan, Brentford to name but a few. Mowbray prattles on about his values. Who really gives a feck about his values. We want decent football, some good results and development and progression for our club. Let's see where Mowbray's values are should we endure two or three more poor results and performances. I very much doubt that our man of values and integrity will walk.
  5. Sadly, I think it will cost money to get rid of them. IMO, liabilities who will be very difficult to shift.
  6. I'm sorry but I think this is b o l l o c k s. He spent £10m+ in the summer on Brereton, Armstrong, Rothwell and Davenport. Not one is a regular let alone improved our team. Why on earth should we trust Mowbray with a penny more? We are going backwards and it's time you smelt the coffee.
  7. Sorry Parsonblue but I think Mowbray deserves feck all. He's been well rewarded. He took us down (and even he admitted in Blues about 3 weeks ago he was brought in to keep us up!), brought us out of a p$ss poor league behind Wigan and we are now in free fall. As far as I can see, he can't get us physically or mentally fit, he can't set-up a team, his tactics in the main are hopeless and go out the window after 15 minutes and his player trading is very, very poor. £7m+ for an 'amazing talent' who remains, in the main , rooted to the bench. Our patience has run out Mowbray, you've had two years at it and I would question if we are any better off as a football team than we were under C o y l e. Taxi is waiting.
  8. Wont be putting any money on us at this stage! Nail on head. It really is that simple.
  9. IMO, a delusional and disgraceful interview.
  10. Absolutely. Time a few woke up and smelt the coffee.
  11. And so he feckin should be under pressure. Could have gone today on a freebie but said 'no thanks' - Just spoke with a friend on the way back from Sheffield who offered the freebie and he said he's now finished with Rovers until Mowbray's gone! To me, in footballing terms, we are as bad as we were under Kean and C o y l e y.
  12. Not a chance. He's sitting on a cushy contract with at least three years to go. I said it was madness at the time when he was given this contract and, sadly, I think I am being proven correct. I have never been convinced with Mowbray, even last season where I think we rode our luck in a p$ss poor league. Mowbray prattles on about his values but, at the end of the day, I think Mowbray is only concerned about number one. The team needs rebuilding but I wouldn't trust Mowbray to do it. Besides being a 'nice man', as some keeep saying, can anyone tell me what Mowbray's strengths as a football manager are?
  13. Right, depressed enough. Off to the local to wet my whistle - might be better news on here later.
  14. The unexpected happens. There were three winners at Cheltenham at 50/1+ and my wife had two of them!!!
  15. Think the man's a clown. IMO, simply not up to it - yesterday's man, if he ever was !?
  16. Bennett and Williams as our full backs frighten me. However, there have been some long shots coming in at Cheltenham this week so let the madness continue. Gone for Rovers' win at 16/5 and by 3-2 at 58/1. Chateaubriand and a fine red, or two, tonight should Rovers win today!
  17. Think Mowbray is getting his excuses in early as I fear we are in for a right mullering. How the feck can Chapman not be ready for at least 45 minutes 1st team action? Just hope Armstrong does not start this match. I thought his performance against Wigan was awful - the lad, IMO, simply has no touch whatsoever. Hope someone has had a serious conversation with Williams and explained to him that he is meant to pass a ball to one of his team mates and not, IMO, almost constantly to the opposition or out of play. I hope Mowbray is coming to the end of his reign as fed-up of watching what I think is awful football with no game plan.
  18. Well that was a throw back to last season - a League One match! Wow, Wigan are bad and if we couldn't have beaten that lot. Three nil is a tad misleading - we got a soft penalty and two gifts from Wigan. A bizarre start with Cook out five minutes before the teams emerged - can't recall having seen that before, a manager leaving his team in the changing rooms. Almost equally bizarre was Benson on the pitch awaiting Raya for a warm-up before the second half began - Raya leisurely emerged after Benson had been on the pitch for I guess two minutes and the warm up was restricted to just 3 shots / throws at Raya. Indiscipline or lack of respect on Raya's behalf? As for the game itself - well Magloire was okay but not really tested by Wigan. Not sure whether we were playing 3 or 4 at the back! Williams' distribution is truly awful. Didn't think Travis and Reed made the most of their opportunity and I was a bit disappointed with both. I felt that for most of the match they played too deep. As for Armstrong, what an appalling touch. Think he's a lad with pace but little else. Too much hoofball and we didn't get forward in numbers quickly enough to support Graham in the box. We stopped the rot but I think it was pretty poor stuff and there will be far more difficult tests ahead.
  19. Forget any past alleged shenanigans and focus on football matters. Where we now are with Mowbray in terms of results, performances and development is, IMO, no better than where we were under Kean / C o y l e. Values count for nothing if you end up running out to play your football at Pleasington.
  20. Did Kean ever have a run where we got only 1 point in 7 league games? IMO, as a unit, we look a disorganised shambles matching the worse of Kean and C o y l e - were we ever as bad defensively under those two? You cannot disguise the fact that there have been some real abysmal performances this season and not just recently. All teams lose games but I think the manner of some of our defeats has been horrific. Don't give a feck about whether Mowbray is likeable or his purported values. I pay my money to be entertained by good football and see some decent results and also to see the club develop. I don't buy the bullsh1t and platitudes that, IMO, have become Mowbray's stock-in-trade.
  21. Largely irrelevant. Most would choose caviar over marmite. A manager's job is to get results and develop the club in all footballing matters. IMO, Mowbray is failing badly now.
  22. Where we are now, IMO, the name on the manager's door could well read either Kean or C o y l e. I think, as a football manager, Mowbray is now failing to tick the boxes in almost all areas.
  23. To me, he needs to lose weight and, IMO, is some way short of the fitness level required. I would be staggered if any club paid the often quoted £15m or even £20m. IMO, he looks far from a PL player and based on recent performances, I would think his value is falling sharply by the game.
  24. I'd try Brereton and Graham as a pair in a 442. As for Magloire, Raya, Rodwell, Williams, Mulgrew, Bell etc are all tried but hardly trusted with all their mistakes which have cost us. The lad Magloire can hardly be any worse.
  25. Unbelievable. Keanesque - reminiscent of the dew on the grass.
