  1. I've seen Mols several times and he hasn't impressed me. The lad's going on 21 now and, IMO, wont make it. I called it right on Brereton very soon after he joined us. I'll trust my own eyes and judgement after, IMO, seeing some of the b0ll0ocks dropped by the so called professionals with Brereton and Gallagher topping the list!
  2. Remember watching 'Hutch' destroy Rovers in a Div 1 night match at Blackpool. It's over 50 years ago but I'm sure he was up against Newton that night. Was on the 'spion kop' and it all got rather nasty, as rival fans clashed, with ammonia being thrown. Little Tony Green was a magician and if my memory is correct, Blackpool signed him whilst Rovers dithered. Three top class acts there.
  3. Agreed, but, sadly, it would seem we haven't a transfer pot to pi1ss in.
  4. Tony Field was magnificent. He would be priceless today. One of my all time favourite Rovers who shone like a beacon in the darkest of Ewood days.
  5. Owls down to 10, 3-0 up and playing well (scored against whilst making a cuppa!) Doubt even Mowbray can feck this up. I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night........................!
  6. Not too much muscle / steel in that midfield. Where's Johnson?
  7. Gone for Rovers at 7/2 and by 2-1 at 16/1. Heart ruled the head a bit but we are so unpredictable and Mowbray has a habit of finding a win when he desperately needs it.
  8. Horrific injuries. Wish Evans well. Think it will be a huge challenge for him to get back to football at this level.
  9. Greaves moved him back into midfield in latter years and he strolled through. Byrom always had a touch of arrogance (in the right way) and was a class act - loved watching him play.
  10. and the right league!!! Think he'll do well up there.
  11. Any footballer has a choice. Sit on their arse and take their over inflated wage, or, accept they are no longer worth what perhaps they once were, take a pay cut and play some football! If you were in Rhodes' position and accumulated over the years what you had through football, to most individuals, it would be a no brainer.
  12. Would think the remaining 18 months would carry a cost to Rovers of at least £2.5million including employer's NI. If I was in Mulgrew's shoes, I'd want circa £1.65million to walk away with £1million net. IMO, Mulgrew holds all the the aces. IMO, another ridiculous deal for a player 34 years of age in a few weeks time - will be well into his 36th year when his contract ends.
  13. Think the only way we get Maddison and/or Curtis in is if Lenihan leaves..................
  14. Think Rhodes is 30 by now. I doubt he is any better than when he left us, pretty sure he wont be any quicker! Rhodes should have amassed a small fortune by now in transfer cuts and wages. If he comes back here on loan then, IMO, it has to be within our wage structure as he is no longer, if he ever was, a £35k / £40k / £45k / week footballer. I think there are better and hungrier options out there.
  15. Sadly, I was much closer to the mark about Dack than Kamy's 'suspected diagnosis', Again, sadly, I suspect I wont be too far wrong about Evans and it being virtually the end of his season for Rovers.
  16. What is your justification for not firing Mowbray ? Do you trust Mowbray in the transfer market ?
  17. Think if Dack kicks a ball for us before Christmas it will be a bonus. As for Evans, IMO, he's finished with us for the season.
  18. I think it's a staggering, and worrying, article. IMO, confirms Mowbray is pretty clueless when it comes to player trading and the mechanics thereof.
  19. IMO, none of that lot were/are nowhere near capable enough of running Rovers - underwhlemed by them all.
  20. IMO, Mowbray is not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Jack Walker. Furthermore, if this is an idea originating from our commercial or community departments then, IMO, it underlines the vacuity that now seems all too commonplace at Ewood. It is so sad when I think just how far our club has fallen.
  21. Really, really, really !?!? IMO, all this stuff about 'having conversations', 'making bids', 'having a budget' etc is all nonsense and 'window dressing' for our supporters - sadly, some will buy it! I said before the transfer window, IMO, we didn't have a transfer pot to p1ss in and transfer fees in plus wages saved would far outweigh transfer fees out and wages paid. Let's see who's nearer to the mark come 31 Jan..
  22. Both broke? If that's the case, he's out for 2 to 3 months.
