  1. Not that simple. You are Mulgrew and you earn say £25k pw. He is not going to walk away to earn say £10k pw somewhere else. His agent will think Christmas has come early.
  2. Mulgrew leaving is going to cost Rovers financially. Think he has another season to run on his contract. So next season, I think he will either sit on his arse at Ewood or Rovers will have to pay at least part of his contract up in order to get rid (a minimum of 1,500 season ticket sales for next season will be needed to fund that). All those new lucrative contracts dished out by messrs Mowbray and Waggott is biting us, and will continue to do so, in the bum.
  3. and, IMO, employ folk who simply aren't up to it. You simply have to invest money in your key personnel.
  4. There will be some very disgruntled individuals in there. Nyambe, Rothwell and Brereton to name but three (and can you blame them). Mulgrew, like Raya, will feel like he's been hung out to dry. Mulgrew is very influential, an international with some 40 caps or more, and you can be sure others will take note of both his displeasure and likely castigation of Mowbray.
  5. I think this window just shows Mowbray and Waggott are not up to their respective jobs. IMO, no strategy, no nous, just smacks of panic. Our three defensive signings are all loans - where the feck does that leave us next season!? Mulgrew has been an influential figure since the day he arrived and I think we are seeing growing signs that Mowbray is losing, if he hasn't already lost, the dressing room. I have never been convinced by either Mowbray or Waggott since they first arrived and concerns about their inabilities and credibility grow with each passing day. I firmly believe that if our club is to progress, Waggott, Mowbray, Venus, Lowe and Benson need sacking at the earliest opportunity.
  6. The irony is that Dyche was interviewed by Burnley in the offices of a Blackburn firm!!!
  7. Think it's clear as day, we barely had a transfer pot to p1ss in and all incomings (fees / wages) had to at least be matched by equal outgoings. Been posting this for some time now. The £5million on Gallagher, IMO, now looks the height of folly. Thi8s follows on from the £7million, IMO, spunked up the wall on Brereton. Think my bet on Mowbray being the first Championship Manager to go is looking increasingly good. Think he's under pressure and rattled as his comments showed today.
  8. Surely not - they've only just arrived in the building and had no time on the grass!
  9. This Cunningham deal aint looking good. Would be no surprise if our lot hadn't realised the deadline was 5.00 pm. Alternatively, is there a problem with the medical? At 20:05, difficult to understand why Rovers haven't announced it if done.
  10. Medical problem with Cunningham?
  11. Had it confirmed Cunningham not gone to Preston so surely he's ours?
  12. A few on here saying that Mowbray's comments today seem to indicate he's feeling the pressure. As posted a few days ago, I think he has a points target for August and if it's not met he's gone. Charlton result just ratched up the pressure.
  13. Been saying for some time that my understand was that every £1 spent on fees / wages for new players had to be at least matched by outgoings. Think the Mulgrew thing confirms that.
  14. Don't be such a d1ck. He invited me to their home match against Wigan on Saturday.
  15. PNE friend just phoned to say they are also in for Cunningham
  16. A bit of sunshine with a chance of showers. Need to get my gardens done.
  17. Positioning for 'we tried our best and we were at it until the last minute until all avenues were exhausted' ?
  18. Posted a few days ago, I think Mowbray is under more pressure now than he ever has been at Ewood. I think he's got a points target for August and he's out if he doesn't hit it. Got £50 on him to be first Championship manager to leave at 19/1.
  19. Wont be much from Sharpe today, not that we get much anyway from, IMO, Ewood's ancillary mouthpiece, as his mate is getting married today!
  20. Even if a possibility, very much doubt Rovers could handle that in 9 hours. Even medicals seem to take 2 or 3 days!
  21. If it was your money, would you buy Dack for £12million? I think Dack, just like Rhodes, will disappear with barely a trace should he leave Rovers.
  22. You have to respect Roy Hodgson's managerial career but this is the guy who allowed Rovers to spend £10million on Christian Dailly and Nathan Blake just over 20 years ago. So it would be no surprise if he's happy to stump up £12million for Dack which I reckon would be a good deal for us given, as you refer to, Dack's perforamances in 2019.
  23. Who says we aren't desperate to sell? Mowbray muted the sale of Dack in Blues back in Feb..
  24. If true, he's off. Might well be the reason for the Hanley and Murphy speculation. Dack going would be no surprise at all.
  25. John Lowey and Kevin Stonehouse were two honest lads who always gave their best in the famous blue and white shirt. Both provided some great moments back in those days. RIP.
