  1. Past hour
  2. A whole bunch of metaphors leap to mind. VI has his plan. The board have backed him totally. Virtually the whole team have been replaced. So: - No more "square peg round hole" excuses like JDTs possession style and players who couldn't play that way. - He's got his players so "all the wood is behind the arrowhead", he's defo going for it - the board are going to "sink or swim" by this decision (taking us with them) - VI has "no hiding place" now and with this level of bravado risks being "hoist with one’s own petard” You've got to admire this "Billy Big Bollocks" show, or does it "all end in tears". I'll stop, it's really not that funny. We're walking a tightrope without a net (damn it!).
  3. And I will take the blame for that...I just wanted to use the Travis album cover...! I'd been working on a (now redundant) tee shirt design for our store & wanted to use it somewhere... 😆
  4. Run a book on how many players left on the pitch? How many minutes on the clock before Trav gets a yellow?
  5. The article does seem to appear reasonably balanced -it's the headline that beautifully shifts the blame to the player without being aggressive.
  6. It is the Venkys who ought to be going . Nothing changes , cheaper options all the time as been since Sam was replaced by Kean ! When the Indians purchased the club , we were a top ten Premier League club , look at us now . Venkys Out is all that matters !
  7. I'm not setting expectations at anything (RG does that I think-he suggested promotion is not of interest to him). I'm suggesting that in difficult circumstances JE got the team to 7th. Given that those difficult circumstances seem to have gone ie. everybody is working to the same plan (not getting fined by Rev), optimism is high, we have younger, speedier, more athletic giants, then you would expect to equal or improve on 7th.
  8. More Rovers appearances in the Derby squad than in our first choice XI
  9. If he's that annoyed about it - why doesn't he say why he thinks Travis has let him down and say ""Lewis has let us down because he did X,Y,Z" etc etc then everyone can make their own mind up. Bit of a coward's trick to chuck a hand grenade in and leave it at that.
  10. Not clear enough Revidge, wasn't directed towards the author of this article which agree is balanced - born out frustration that the politicking from the usual suspects at the club seems to work so effectively amongst the wider fanbase.
  11. To keep fans onside -we did the best we could yada yada, it was the player's fault, nothing to do with us guv..
  12. I think anyone who uses the word "aligned" from now on should be fined £10. Money to go to charity!
  13. Very one sided battle, Travis v Cantwell should be good
  14. A few more of our released youngsters have now found new homes Pat Gamble signed for Warrington Town (7th tier) Dan Shaw signed for Rugby Town (7th tier) Bradley Taylor (who I think spent the majority of the past 3 seasons injured) is now at Ashton Utd (7th tier) Not sure if this is the same Stephen Edmondson, but there is one in Marines U23s squad Tom Bloxham may be moving to Switzerland, the 25% sell on sounds like rubbish though, Rovers released him
  15. Travis v Tronstad be weird, and that's just for us watching.
  16. For the manager to call him out like that? I don’t know what’s gone on, but why would you choose those words if you weren’t making a point?
  17. Y'all love your straw men. Setting expectation at Playoffs or bust is hilarious. We're clearly not that club under these owners - look at the money Wrexham and Birmingham have spent. We also have 3 parachute payment teams and Sheffield United hanging around too. We'll be mid table, adrift of the automatic promotion spots by Christmas and just generally making up the numbers unless Gestede is a genius and all of these new signings are excellent.
  18. because the website is rarely kept fully updated by someone who cares The same page named Ryan Kidd as U18s manager throughout last season despite Darragh Tuffy having held the post for a year
  19. Agree...... but I thought this particular article was fair and balanced. Don't think the author is "falling for" any of it.
  20. Hmm...I think there is a lot more to this than we know.. As well as "life changing money", I am also smelling a trail of bad feeling e.g...Gestede, Suhail, Eustace, Leslie Fielding's "redundancy" etc.. Looks like a clear out of all those, who challenged the new orthodoxy or were not "aligned"...
  21. Waggott is still listed at Companies House...
