  1. Past hour
  2. The only reason the other two went was because one said he didn't want a payout and we actually received money for Eustace Nobody's taking Ismael off our hands and he has a 3 year deal, if he has us in relegation to league 2 in October 2026 they might pay off the rest of his deal as there will only be 12/18 months left on the deal.
  3. The 'years options' are proving to be both a blessing and a curse in Rovers case. Yes we have the security of another year but it means they leave contract renewals too late because of that security and by then it's too late because agents are already at work alerting their players to what kind of wages and signing on fees might be out there.
  4. Celtic will collect their participation trophies like they do every year so it's not going to make any difference to them but for the likes of Aberdeen and what not it's a great opportunity to cement themselves as the other team in Scotland. Who knows, the SPL might return to the glory days of being a two team league.
  5. It is Eid on Saturday in India, for the Muslim population living there. It's likely he has gone to spend time with family there over Eid. Alternatively, it may be that Glen's regular updates to Pune have prompted them to call him in for talks. If it is the latter, there are only one of two things he could say to them that would be acceptable, in my view: 1) Either, he tells them "I'm out", as the pressure is getting too much for him. This would leave them in limbo, "confused", and push them closer towards the exit door, IMO. 2) Or, he advises them to call it a day and sell up. Nothing else is good enough. All this talk about developing Academy players, giving them 3,000 minutes and selling them on is for the fairies. Big Sam even said as much to Rudy's face, when he told him the Academy shouldn't be the main focus. JDT wanted experience for a reason. As did Eustace and as will Ismael. You win eff all with kids, quite simply. If they want to play the numbers game, fine. Here's one for them. It has been 4,770 days since we were last in the Premier League. 4,770. Why don't they find some shame regarding that stat? Do something about it or piss off...is my message for those in Pune and for Pasha. They aren't arsed about that and many other football matters...so the message is clear. Piss off. Regardless.
  6. I agree Glen does some sterling work to affect change it's just the statement from the coalition a group of people trying their best was poor gramatically
  7. Another club for the "I hope they're relegated pile".
  8. I’d choose Glen’s et al drive and determination to improve our club over them being able to produce a literary masterpiece.
  9. Glen while I appreciate all you're doing but I feel it's something that needs to be addressed having read the first statement from the coalition it was gramatically poor the points made were very good however in some places it didn't make sense I know how it is for some people myself included it's very difficult & so I understand how difficult it can be I do think before putting out large statements someone should proof read it before it goes out however I completely agreed with all the points made
  10. Looking good for Celtic next season: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cm2692qe2v1o
  11. Today
  12. Carrick potted by Boro Quite rightly in my opinion, should have done much better with what he had available to him
  13. I wish I shared your confidence! A key paragraph: Blackburn remain in talks with the right-back to extend his contract and are hopeful of a positive outcome. However, if that doesn't materialise, they will have to sell him with his stock high. You simply should not p1ss about with your best players but sadly we seem to - Lenihan, Rothwell, Brereton etc. 'Remain in talks' - suggests to me the two parties are some distance apart. 'Hopeful' - How could they be anything but 'hopeful'; there is a huge difference between being 'hopeful' of a positive outcome and 'confident' in a positive outcome. I have little doubt Brittain's agent will be testing the waters and if there are warm overtures from any half decent club then I think it's game over. In the Championship I would only consider Sheff Wed as a worse option than Rovers and I have little doubt that any other interested Championship club would offer Brittain a better deal than what Rovers are offering. With player retention and the signing of new players, I think we only stand a chance if it's a one horse race which means our market comprises those players who are simply not good enough at Championship level. Sadly, I think we are locked in a vicious circle and are done for as a credible progressive club with real ambition.
  14. I'm not casting judgement Rev on the idea or fear of a possible sale as it's impossible to trust anything that the club would say about such an issue until a sale or signing actually happens. But the article is just a rundown of all the fullbacks currently on the roster, their contract situations & future prospects. The headline is just a scare tactic to get clicks & subscriptions.
  15. The women would be mad to stay - I assume anyone good enough to play last year will be screaming bloody murder to get out of their Rovers contract.

  17. As the old terrace song went, Oyston ended up "sewing bags". Don't suppose the same fate will befall our owners as a result of the Indian Court proceedings, but you're right, we'll likely end up with a shell of a squad.
  18. I can never get past the firewall. What did it say then? I'd actually be surprised if we were serious about keeping CB and didn't in reality want to offload him in order to replace him with a cheaper option.
  19. Did anyone on here (who's posted about it anyway) actually bother to read Elliott Jackson's article with the "Brittain transfer ultimatum" BS headline? Jeeze........ I'm as worried as anybody here about Trons & Cal leaving this summer, but this is way too much ado about nothing way too early in the process and the article states nothing of the sort in the first place.
  20. ....And to be told the Club is being put up for sale. PARTY TIME!
  21. I'm just a regular fan, born n bred into Blue and White halves, as you said no one person leads the coalition its a unified effort some of whom we may never hear from or see, but genuinely grateful for the efforts and the digging and processing information night after day after night. And when this is all over I reckon we hire every suite at Ewood and drink to the badge. It'll happen I'm sure of it. May not be tomorrow but it won't be forever ARTE ET LABORE
  22. Would pushing that aspect of things not make them set their stall out as "that's the only reason we'll leave" and end up not finding anyone for many more years when it's too late? Anything is worth a shot though
  23. Telling them they don't need to send any money hes got it all in hand.
