  1. Past hour
  2. Anyone hoping VI gets canned has lost the plot, not going to happen. I’ve actually not felt a manager to be this bullet proof since Kean, to be honest… he seems so deeply engrained with the two in charge, there’s no way they pot him, certainly not this season. Don’t forget, this ownership hasn’t sacked a manager since Coyle. This one feels like a relegation season. Not playing badly enough for the screw to really tighten on an underperforming manager, but not picking up enough points to move away from trouble. Always someone else to blame for results… I worry hugely about the signings we made as replacements for key players. De Neve, Tavares, Hendrickson are edging toward forgotten men. Miller is out of position (and is it only me that thinks his throw ins are super average), jury out on McLoughlin. Alebiosu the standout signing so far. I said after the Charlton game, on paper we have a rancid run of games from now until late November. The Championship can toss up real surprises, and one of the games is the currently lowly Sheff United. But at this stage, my instinct tells me we could be deep in the shit by the time the full time whistle goes at the Preston game. Ismael looked pressured tonight to me. Jumping about blaming the ref (again). I wonder whether he’s starting to realise that the exciting summer might not quite be living up to expectations.
  3. Wonder if the Club will try to ban Leavers from Ewood?
  4. I’ve seen enough of this lad now to say he is the pick of our summer signings. Replacing Brittain was going to be a tough gig but he has slotted in effortlessly at right back. Looks solid in defence and our best attacker when we have possession. Some great dribbling and crosses tonight. In a sea of summer shit we seem to have at least found one gem.
  5. If anyone from the club is reading and actually gives a toss then restore a glimmer of pride for Saturday and sack the two pricks in charge then get the LT back on side. I can guarantee a better vibe at the ground and you could go even further by telling Ismael to pull his finger out as well.
  6. im`e not so sure,if gestede and pasha are getting pelters they`ll take action
  7. I don’t think they will sack him. Pasha wants costs cut, Rudy and Val are implementing it. They’re all “aligned” as they keep telling us.
  8. Gudjonsson was crap but it was Kargbo's ineptitude that led to the goal. Some real shite signed this Summer.
  9. Gudjohnsen or Ohashi? The rack or the thumbscrews?
  10. Yeah. There were about 7500 there I’d say. It was busier than an early league cup game, but not by much. The 4 season ticket holders who sit behind me were all missing, and I’ve never known all of them miss a league game.
  11. This is going to be a long season. For a start we have a failed manager who doesn’t appear to be good enough. The first problem is that under Coyle you felt we had players who should be doing better. However this squad is so poor there is no guarantee a new manager would do much better. The second problem is the person who would remove Val is his mate Rudy who comes across as even more arrogant. He is backed by Suhail, who has stuck around through all incarnations of Venkys rovers, so he is not going anywhere. They’ve devised this low budget policy. And Venkys simply don’t care. Our PPG is currently on course to get us to 39 points. You’ve got to be at least looking to get 47+ to have a chance of staying up, and that seems a hell of a long way away.
  12. He will not be sacked. Nearly 3 years on his contract and he wont have a go back like the others have.
  13. The self inflicted managed decline is now clear for all to see. Can't really say anything other than what we are seeing is to be expected, you can't replace all the best players and thousands of mins championship experience overnight with cheap non British imports and expect anything else. As for Ismael he struggled with far better squads than this at WBA and Watford and they were trying for the top spots. He hasn't got the first clue what to do when he's up against it and that is based on more evidence than tonight.
  14. how long will he get,i reckon it will be middle of november before pasha loads the gun, look at our next six games😷😥we could be bottom by then
  15. Does that include season ticketholders who didn't attend?
  16. If we can’t get a result against that Swansea team tonight it bodes poorly for the rest of the season. They were so poor and yet somehow we managed to conspire to lose due to two defensive errors. I think we look ok as a team this season but just seem to have no luck in front of goal or with decisions. Then at the other end every mistake we make gets punished. All signs of a bad season ahead. A big problem is how poor we are outside the first 11. Every sub just makes us worse rather than impacting the game. Kargbo with one of the worst 45 mins in a rovers shirt for some time. The whole place just has a stink to it at the moment from the boardroom to the pitch. Lose again on Saturday and that must be some sort of home record start to a season.
  17. Was dreadful play, followed by more dreadful play by others in particular the lazy Kargbo. Did he? Had one chance and totally blew it leading to their goal. Offered no threat or value whatsoever. Ohashi is really limited but at least the ball sometimes sticks with him.
  18. Could we re-sign Faz and Jansen? 11,013...lowest Championship crowd tonight by a country mile.
  19. They all took us over in different circumstances. Mowbray overtook a much worse squad that was destined for League 1. Beside that one summer when we spent £10m on top of a League 1 squad, like the other 2, the owners fucked everything up. Numerous summers spending little, limits on who we could trade, selling a key player and not reinvesting etc. As they always do. Now we have a manager far worse than all 3 of them, and with the owners still screwing us over.
  20. At least Yuki got his head on a cross and nearly scored.
  21. he did better in the second half, tbh a top class centre forward would struggle in this side,he did ok considering the service and he`s more robust than yuki, who is to lightweight to lead the line
  22. Id like to think most fans do not think it’s acceptable that a crucial training session before a huge game, and after an embarrassing performance, is arranged around the managers birthday celebrations.
  23. If this side becomes rooted in the bottom three I dont think they have the Arte et Labore to fight their way out of it sadly...the body language tonight told a sorry tale.
