If/When we get relegated..

Average turnover is circa 10 million in League One, compared to nearly 40 million in the championship. Our turnover would drop by over 50%. Anyone with any value would be sold. Higher wage earners released. It would be carnage. Disastrous. It's imperative we stay up. -

How can you be QPR through and through and Rovers through and through? I don't get it. Don't need any half n half scarvers here. -

Of the young lads, they have shown flashes of quality but I wouldnt just assume even at League 1 that they would thrive just yet, certainly all together. They would naturally get more game time but how ready they are is unclear. Atcheson looks talented but very raw, Montgomery has struggled for game time, not sure what position best suits Litherland, Pratt seems most physically ready but not necessarily to play every week. Of the senior group, its best not to think about it. Pickering would be a very good left back at that level but his card seems to be marked. Miller would be a good player at that level for all of the question marks in the Championship but he might push for a move. Afolayan would probably be an asset if he was willing to stay but he only signed for 18 months. Alebiosu, Toth, obviously Tronstad and Gudjohnsen would all be straight out the door as quick as they could. Cantwell too if someone wanted him. There would be a group of players (Jorgensen, Miroshita etc) who maybe would attract teams in poor foreign leagues who might want to take them. I fear that the likes of De Neve, Tavares and Henriksson wouldnt even attract teams like that. -

I imagine we'll practically become a youth team to be honest packed with academy graduates. Theres bound to be good players in there but they'll get bullied a lot in league 1. -

This is where I think 442 or 433 is the best option. I saw enough from Afolayon yesterday to suggest that he might have a bit of an X Factor. I just hope he is able to start games soon. Gudjohnsen and Jorgensen up front for me. Ohashi off the bench to harass tired defenders. -

Not many! Assuming Toth Alebiosu Gudjohnssen Cantwell Tronstad and maybe Carter would be leaving anyway Id only be looking to keep Pratt Atcheson Litherland Montgomery and Wharton. Anyone else good enough? -

The latter is most likely, but they'll certainly struggle to shift some of the shocking signings. I expect we'll be stuck with De Neve, Henriksson, and Tavares. -

People may not agree but I think whist he was here, he was just as "aligned" as Ismael. imo was fully committed to the idea of turning us into a Championship version of Crewe Alexandra. When Wharton was sold, write a report recommending keep a bit, spend a bit, keep another bit in reserve. (why on the last bit?) That's me, job done and arse covered, couldnt care less whether we actually spend any, now where's that bubbly Balaji? Just had one deadline night disaster too many. Like a rubbish player who suddenly turns into Pele following a prolonged spell in the treatment room, it shows how bad things are now when some people are lamenting the loss of complete blaggers like Waggott and Broughton. - Today

Of grown men? I doubt it.

It didn’t work it that occasion, but was maybe worth a try. Another group could have responded differently.

Results didnt improve though…so just send the squad to the Comedy Store once a week…

Gudjohnsen simply has to start. I don’t care if he’s not fully fit or can only give 60 mins - he quite literally is the only player in the whole squad who has the slightest inkling as to where the back of the net is. Stop fannying about with Ohashi on his own - it hasn’t and won’t ever work. -

100% that's it imo These idiots seem to think they can extract extra value by signing players from obscure European Leagues, (many of whom whose Clubs have just been relegated) and/or by signing players who are either not match fit or injured. There must be a reason why no-one in the Championship has attempted it before! -

Pretty much the same as now really just over promoting people because in the short term it's cheaper. You'd think they'd learn from the Kean episode and a few others like Agnew etc but no the need for someone cheap who toes the line drives everything. Broughton was never tame though, certainly not once he got his feet under the table but him telling them what to do with the Wharton money was him signing his death warrant imo. -

Do we think Gestede watched Moneyball and thought he was Brad Pitt, not realising the A's never won anything, and he's an exec in football not baseball? Or did he write his work experience essay on Brighton and figured he is smarter than everyone else in football? -
