  1. Past hour
  2. Apparently Boro have now cancelled his press conference for today.
  3. Just as we're finding a bit of form, Toth is out injured for 3 months, and Nigeria want Alibousi in the nationally team, which means he could miss up to six games for Rovers. Let's hope Ainsley Pears can fill the void.
  4. The Clash - Complete Control
  5. Some clips from the 1950s and 1960s Cup runs. Including Rovers in black and white stripes? Say it aint so @Herbie6590
  6. Edwards has Wolves and Boro over a barrel. Probably presented his respective January recruitment lists to both and is awaiting answers.
  7. Pretty much how it worked here for Eustace "He won't leave Rovers for Derby" and yet, he went for what was widely considered as a downgrade at the time as were in and around the playoff places with Derby fighting relegation. Derby probably did their homework too and wouldn't have made an official approach without encouragement. Payrise, promise of investment and an affinity with the club has been enough in the past to make managers jump ship. Didn't realise Wolves only had 2 points though, that's a hell of a lot of ground to make up even after just 10 games.
  8. Just over 24 hours til kick off, no sign of any official announcement with regards to the White Maltese Cross shirt and the club socials showing the legends wearing the blue n white halves with a gold patch printed in the middle of the shirt. Everything points towards the obvious. The 150th Shirt isn't coming folks....at least not tomorrow!
  9. Set up best we can as per last few games stick to the same play that's got our three wins, slot in players that closely suit it best. That's all can ask. Still nothing on Cantwell can't remember did VI say after international?
  10. Yea I read that too and was apprehensive
  11. King kenny himself 👏👏 The running theme seems to be respect, love and passion. Sadly we won't see the likes anytime soon. Thanks for the snippet 👏👏
  12. You can't underestimate how important it is for a manager to continue being seen as a premier League manager. Even another 6 months at a relegated club would be better long term than maybe getting promoted from the championship. Saying so what to a pay rise is also very funny.
  13. Who knows if they will have money to spend if they go down. I just think his best career move would be staying at Boro not going to Wolves who looks to going down this season for me.
  14. I think it was one of those 'not as bad as first feared' situations.
  15. Wow... really feels like we are setting ourselves up for a classic death spiral here. 😞
  16. That is terrible news. Strange that Ismael implied that he had a chance for the weekend.
  17. We really have painted ourselves into a corner with this. I get selling Hyam and the reasons behind it. My issue was the timing of his departure and just doesn't reflect well on those in charge with absolute on the hoof management. It looks like Craig Dawson is still without a club. Bringing him in weeks ago should have been the priority.
  18. Course it isn't, but remember this lot consider it too much effort / cost to keep Ewood in a decent state of cleanliness and repair or to reward established players with improved contracts so expecting them to cough up and make the effort for non-essentials like improvements, statues, celebrations just isn't in their mindset. Cheap and easy is the way of things at Venky Rovers.
  19. Agreed.. its completely evidence based on previous seasons to assume Carter and Wharton will play only 50% of games each and we should have planned on that basis. Really we only have 3 cbs, and that is counting Miller who is arguably more of a rcb (McLoughlin, Miller, Carter+Wharton). On that premise we should have two more cbs in the squad as its a totally accepted norm that you need five.
  20. It will be interesting to see how our central defenders handle Morris, and how Alebiouso copes with Agyemang. Not to mention how Pears will manage the situation...
  21. Fair enough, I'm not against it in isolation but as far as I can see this week that's been about it for the 'celebrations' and requires next to no effort on the part of Rovers beyond asking these former players to record a short clip and send it in. I'd have expected a bit more than that really, at a club really making the most of this occasion.
  22. Here is a little teaser. 😂 It the foreword from Kenny Dalglish.
  23. For Wharton, did you mean three weeks? Another big blow, Wharton has had a serious achilles injury before. The decision to let Hyam go and not replace him means the defensive issues are totally self inflicted.
  24. Pickering has played in a three and did well. He was in a defensive trio with McFadzean and Carter when we beat Leicester to stay up.
  25. Today
  26. The win at Bristol has come at a real cost. Aside from Toth Scott Wharton has an achilles problem and the early prognosis is the weeks I'm told. Hayden Carter will be on the bench due to lack of minutes. I have a problem with this though as we had an under 21 game last Friday and if Carter was a bit short on match fitness (he has been in full time training now for a couple of weeks) then why not give him 45 minutes with them. If one of the two or three centre halves gets injured early in the game (or even in the warm-up) then surely Carter will be called on. It makes very little sense to me not to utilise under 21 matches for some of the first team squad.
