  1. Past hour
  2. I once read that around the turn of the 19th century ( 1895 -1900 ish ) there was 1 pub or beer house for every 14 people in Blackburn.
  3. Lmao I've seen that aswell celebrating too much 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 The saltiness for a derby that we arent all too fussed about is unreal. Just another team to us. I was called out on YouTube telling me how all our players ran to us at the end was sad lmao I mean put some meat on the bones for an argument atleast lmao Preston fans, they're more plastic than we'll ever be with their little flags that we're laid out for them in their end. Got whooped at their own cup final and can't take the heat 😂😂😂 #moresaltonmyspudplease
  4. I thought so, good job Preston didn’t think the same. “ Who’s marking the centre forward ? Nobody, let’s just let him run out there “. It was a good move - you can either head for goal or head the ball back into the danger area.
  5. All over X now they are desperately trying to flip the narrative that it means more to us, than it does to them. They've been desperately trying to force this rivalry for YEARS, spent all week bigging up their chances and have now retreated into their shells because they've lost. Many are now throwing the ridiculous line out that we celebrated too much. Absolutely insufferable fanbase. They wanted the rivalry but only when it suits them, it seems.
  6. Anybody read Frank’s quotes after the game ? That was what I was expecting to hear from JDT after the dingles fiasco.
  7. Litherland is definitely better on the ball, or he was when I last saw him play.
  8. Mori's post match interview confirms this was the case.
  9. In an ideal world I’d prefer a right footer playing on the right and vice versa. Especially at our level were two footedness seems to be a thing of the past.
  10. There was a ton of pubs along Bolton Road leading into the town centre too. I'm sure I read somewhere they called it 'The Length'- Lots of pubs and house were knocked down around there and there was several massive mills so I could imagine that area being a hot-bed for pubs. Even now on the left you can see at least two pubs. Such beautiful buildings, so many memories- if only the walls could talk eh?! If the owners of the Moorings don't already open on matchdays for a cheap beer a curry, they're missing a bloody trick.
  11. I remember seeing something in Blackburn Museum about Blackburn being the 'Beeriest town in England" at one point, with the most pubs per capita of any major town or city. In more recent years I think it was reported in the Guardian that we have the most takeaways per capita and that people in Blackburn had better access to takeaways than GPs per capita. Interesting reasons to be on the map, or not(?). I'd rather we were back on the map for footballing reasons but appreciate that could be many years away.
  12. Today
  13. The application to transition him to a non ESC player can only be submitted during a transfer window. Hopefully they’ve got all the paperwork ready to go…
  14. Well, I think he had an active role in the whole Jerome Anderson charade.. "Blackburn fans should put their (protest) banners away"...
  15. Nixon hailing it as an astute Waggott masterstroke at 20 k p.w.! Lol.
  16. Exactly what we didn't need to support our play-off push. Stunk of agent involvement-again!
  17. You mean people who want the best for the Club here. Didn't Ferguson win the League at Man Ure AFTER the Glazers took over? From his point of view, what was there to moan about? (And at this point Im going to try and avoid being reeled in any further)
  18. This subject has probably been discussed in detail in the past but does it matter that much whether a CB is right or left footed?
  19. who says he was lucky? wasn't he set to be appoint Legia Warsaw head coach job?
  20. No, games when a player is unavailable don’t count towards the calculations.
  21. we need a right footer centre back signing in the January transfer window. Maybe Malmo's centre back Colin Rosler could be option and we were linked with him during the summer
  22. Hes not a scapegoat as thankfully he doesnt play that many minutes anymore. And every time he comes on we are reminded why.
  23. I think the point is that we have a bloke who knows he was lucky to get a Championship job and therefore will not dissent despite having the piss taken out of him.
  24. Overhauling anything is supposed to make it better
  25. Would Toth's ESC conversion be in jeopardy considering the games he will miss? McLaughlin was signed as an alternative to Kapuadi. Kapuadi was left footed, we need a right footer.
  26. You’d expect them to go back for that “Steve Kapuadi” in Poland, given they tried to get him all summer and I assume (?) Toth is now no longer an ESC slot. At any normal club there would be a significant January budget given we’ve not spent anything like we have generated from sales for years now. Alas, I’m sure we have no money.
