I agree with you, he put a shift in defensively tonight but he's still pretty woeful in the final third of the pitch.

It's a joke of a tackle - and Tronstad's reaction should have been all the ref needed (as clearly he missed it live) to know it was a bad one. You don't steam in like that for a player trying to cynically stop a counter attack. It was a deliberate leg breaker.

Yes, he's an excellent WB at this level. He's also a L1 AML/R, which is where he's played most of the time he's been at Rovers. I'd just be looking at his age and his limitations and move on - but clearly I'm in the minority.

I think most people would agree. And it shows that, as much stick as we get for being overly critical of players, we just give an honest opinion on what we see. Hedges has been mostly shite since joining us, with the odd good game = generally criticised. This season, he's been really good = generally praised.

If the season ended now he would be my POY.

I really had a problem with Morishita first half - so powder puff, but have to say he really fought his way back in and got better and better. Respect.

I spoke to several Rovers fans before the game and every one of them would have taken a draw so the delirium in the ground at the final whistle was perfectly understandable. I thought we started quite slowly and were really careless in some of our play particularly our passing. But in fairness we grew into the game and aside from the first fifteen or so minutes were the better team. Going ahead just before half-time should have been the perfect fillip but to concede in the next minute should really have knocked the stuffing out of us but from the first whistle in the second half we were excellent. Morishita showed what a talent he can be as he seemed to play a bit more centrally and his creativity had us on the front foot on many occasions. Defensively we were excellent as a unit as we headed, kicked and blocked any threat that they posed. I thought Tronstad was outstanding tonight as he ran the midfield both defensively and offensively. They simply couldn't match him. Ohashi once again never stopped running and Hedges showed what an important player he is for us as he worked the line. Special mention to George Pratt tonight though. Making your debut in a local derby live on Sky must have been daunting for him but he came through with flying colours. Why didn't Ismael trust him to play against Derby and release Hedges to his best position. I had some doubts about the triple substitution which I thought was too many to make at once but to be fair to Ismael it worked as we saw the game out comfortably. There are many things wrong with our club but nights like tonight make me realise why my love affair of many decades is still strong.

Honestly think the 352 is such a good system for him. Hes at his best covering ground and it suits him. I expect him to have a good full season in this setup.

An unexpectedly pleasant end to a torrid day (hangover and bad news are a lethal combo). Such a torrid day had me primed for a battering, but the golden boys were fully at it. I say that with the qualification that we are not a squad filled with quality, but there was a lot of graft and that’s always satisfying. Pratt got through a debut in a hostile environment, under the lights, in front of the cameras and a strong and vocal away following. Excellent blocks, little bit of naïveté, but I’ll be more interested in his future performances to get a measure on him. Deserves a pat on the back. Tronstad, Mori and Miller impressed me, but Hedges really was everywhere. I groaned entering Ewood for the Derby game and working out that we had him at LCB, but the fact is, he is our most reliable player right now and he’s got so much running in him. He gets a lot of grief, he deserves the credit for his performances recently. He’s clearly setting a standard of application. I like to think I can get the measure of a player early on for Rovers, but I couldn’t tell you what I think of Baradji. I’m inclined to believe he’s showing the signs of a difficult lay-off and will need a gradual introduction to Championship. No pre-season means you never catch up, so I’ll reserve my opinion until I’ve seen a lot more. Bit of urgency needed in his play by the looks. Friday night win makes the weekend easier, so I hope it’s as such for all of you.

Officials very poor tonight. We all screamed penalty for the hand in the face, how was it not given. As obvious as it comes. There's nothing extra to add to whats already been said about that potentially career ending 'tackle' except it was totally deliberate. Again officials gave nothing. Nob End started shit housing from the off, how many pushes in the back for the ref to actually see one. Shocking display, just pathetic. Good win. The two academy lads did brill. The two japanese lads did brill. Aggression throughout the team. Enjoyable win and well deserved.

There is something about north end, I don't know if it's from reading their forum and all the vile comments they make about us, forming some form of rivalry that's never been there for most of us. But beating them just gets me right in the feels, you just know they are sat at home now with there head in their hands, absolutely gutted. There rivalry with blackpool is just a cover, they despise Blackburn Rovers and all of her achievements, they absolutley foam at the mouth over us. I think over the course of time we've been really unlucky with this lot, they always manage to scab it, but it's now been years since theve beaten us, genuinely buzzing tonight. Not convinced by Kargbo but I think a quick forward in his style could work in this 352 up front. As you see with Ohashi alot of the forward play is about running the channels and combining with the wide players.
