  1. Past hour
  2. How can we justify a Head of Women’s Football when the team aren’t pro?
  3. Love to know what it's like for your club to achieve
  4. In less than 2 weeks so we better get our skates on if we are to get key players tied down and sign 90% of our squad by then!
  5. If you don’t rate Sondre Tronstad as a footballer, particularly at championship level then quite frankly, you should watch another sport
  6. Only a few months ago you wanted Ismael removing from his position immediately, now you're in his biggest fan. Folk can change there minds as they want, as you have done in the past.
  7. It isnt interesting that he hasnt been offered a contract here. Like with numerous other players here, its infuriating. Hes not staying.
  8. Today
  9. People are entitled to change their minds based on changing circumstances. You would do well to remember that. He won't be signing for Rovers.
  10. Its was only a few months ago that people wouldn't bothered about Dolan leaving. Rovers should be offering him the bets terms we can, interesting that he hasn't had any formal contracts bid yet, interesting. Hopefully we can get him to sign here
  11. So you have repeating said like we won't sign player x or player y when we did. Rovers couldn't agree on who to sign and not between the 4 of them but Toth shown in those 6 games why we signed him and Yes I would start him as number 1 in our first game. No way with Goddard or Barrett be our number 2 for the coming season Bailey's story is that Oliver Antman has been offered to us and other teams. Not sure that fits your suggestion of a leak.
  12. One line that people might say is that Dolan was offered a deal was it 18 months-2 years ago. Yes, he may have been. But not a serious one that he has accepted and hes had 2 more seasons since so his justified demands can go up so why havent we bothered to offer him anything since.
  13. If they aren't seeing anything then I'd happily put a lock on him
  14. Yea with a lesser defence perhaps this season, (who knows?) Our goal keeping capabilities maybe shown for what they are. Hope Toth finds another level feel he could have potential to step up a notch but I'd be looking to bag another goalie too
  15. exactly the bold part
  16. Something doesn't add up there. They will have to have made Dolan a contract offer on at least the same terms as he's on now by a deadline, think it's the same deadline as when they have to tell the players there decision if they are to be retained or not. Or we don't get compo if he moves to somewhere in this country. So I imagine we have offered him a token contract, and then maybe we'll throw something in as a last ditch attempt when he signs for someone else do they can turn around and say "we tried!".
  17. But since then they've seen Jason Steele, Jake Kean, Walton etc, all who were generally poor at Rovers. Pears i agree is nowhere near as bad as is made out especially given the names above but some of the needless mistakes hes made will stick long in the memory.
  18. Fantasy land that Chaddy. We spent the whole of last summer looking for "experienced" competition for Pears and ended up with someone we never heard of on deadline day, who probably had a similar amount to Pears. This lot won't pay for an experienced keeper to sit on the bench when we have several 20 something keepers on the books who can do that. Results secondary as ever, getting a squad as cheap as possible the only aim I think its quite clear that neither are up to it, but when has that been a concern here? They are cheap and I fully expect one of them to be on the bench next season and them praying that nothing happens to Toth. Michelski at 18 needs a season playing football, whether that's as our first choice under 21 keeper or we can get him a starting position in the National League/League 2. I know I have form for this, but I have never been so confident in my words "that isn't going to happen" as I am here. Sagnan, De Keersmaecker, Kapuadi and now Antman. Genuinely think someone at the club is leaking these names to Elliot, Bailey etc so they can play the line that "we had some ambitious targets but couldn't quite them done, here's a few kids from Brighton and Liverpool instead".
  19. Pears is terrible. I dont think Boro would have kept him. And I think we were only interested because of Mowbrays link. Should be in league 1-2
  20. Yes he has made mistakes like anyone. No one is saying he shouldnt make mistakes. The issue is how many mistakes he makes.
  21. As proved by his former manager who knew his weaknesses
  22. Pears is nowhere near as bad as some people make out, yes he has made some mistakes and cost us points but so has plenty of others at Championship level. He is decent enough keeper at this level. I think Toth looks very good in those 6 games, he did have a couple nervy moments at Luton but after that look more than good enough. I think we need another keeper in as number 2 to Toth. Someone experience at this level
  23. Yeah think there might be a slight middle ground somewhere between Pears and, err, Friedel fans would be happy enough with…
  24. Pears does not take any pressure off the defence at all. To claim a cross or to come to edge of area to claim a ball takes the the pressure off and preserves energy. Multiple times last season the fullbacks had to chase the ball in to our box with pears glued to his line. I don’t think there’s anyway back for him, once you lose the trust of your teammates as a goalkeeper you lose your spot
  25. So to determine if a player is good or not there has to be live and continuous interest in them? Silly take
