  1. Past hour
  2. We have a history of those , see where he ends up , when fit ?
  3. We shouldn’t have to guess, they should have been clearer.
  4. I don't live in the town, but I worked in Blackburn as a youngster during my college years, went to Blackburn college and went out around Blackburn almost twice a week for drinks (do I ever miss Barzooka). I've visited twice in the past 12 months to see a contractor and left immediately afterwards. Sadly the town is a mirror of the club as it stands.
  5. Outside of Roberts and Bogle now both in prem dunne ranked highest in rbs standout performer and getting better won’t be at qpr much longer but he’s the overall picture is we will def miss Brittain
  6. Have a look at Blackburn Market to how badly the town is run. The bakers have just left and we are very soon to be left with only one butcher when Tom Woods goes to Colne High St at a rent of 70% less than he pays at the market. I come to Blackburn for 3 things: the butcher in the market; the fish stall in the market; and Rovers. I never come to Ewood anymore outside of a game as the club shop is never open at the times I can make it. To be honest Blackburn as a town and a council is a complete and utter mess. It is about time the Council started to see how they can make it easier for folk to attend Ewood Park rather than penalising them.
  7. I always assumed it was at the end of his notice period. I guess at his level he was on 6 months notice rather than 3.
  8. Roughly translated as look we can only really pick shirt sellers so get yourself to a higher profile club so the FA can sell more England shirts with your name on the back.
  9. Van Ewijk yes but jimmy dunne I don’t think he is and Pereira unfortunately for him is past his best due to injuries but was a top right back a few years ago
  10. 1000% the real problem lies at the feet of the owners, pasha and gestede and no manager can succeed under this regime but he’s seems a poor manager in my opinion. i also certainly won’t fall for the narratives from them I just don’t think he’s very good
  11. Country Joe And The Fish - Here I Go Again
  12. RE Pereira, he may be first choice now that James Justin is plying his trade at Leeds. Although Choudhury has been ok there. Pereira missed the first couple of games of the season, but did come off the bench in the 2 games  before the international break, so maybe given the couple of weeks before their next game, he will be back in the side then? Too early to say that he isn't their first choice if/when he is fully fit In terms of pedigree, I would have Pereira above Brittain, it depends if his body holds out and lets him get back to where he was
  13. Jimmy Dunne is definitely not better than Callum Brittain. Pereira has a far better CV but I dont think he is better now. Not a regular starter for Leicester anymore. Either way, we will miss Brittian and Alebiosu as encouraged as I have brrn by him will almost certainly not be at that level, it would be unfair to expect him to be.
  14. The main instigator of that one was Capello, who apparently also told Bentley that he needed to leave Rovers to play for England "There were a few things to it. Fabio Capello had told me if I wanted to go to the World Cup, he wanted to see me at a club fighting for the Champions League," Warnock told Under The Cosh. Not to say that Nixon didnt also give him/them a nudge on the way out
  15. I remember him having a particular obsession with getting Steven Warnock out of the Club years ago. Cant remember if it was about Warnock specifically or just in general but I called him out at some point and he didn't like it. Got fairly abusive. Wonder if he ever found "Dan Williams". Probably riding around on Shergar with Lord Lucan somewhere.
  16. Today
  17. I clicked like as a thank you for the update as I knew we had a Nixon Sunday Special incoming.
  18. Don't know, but I know we've struggled holding onto even older ones in the past.
  19. There's a big difference between those two, Howard was looking for somewhere to cut his teeth in management and luckily we made the genius move of appointing him. Stapleton was a great player in his prime, but I thought he was absolute bobbins at Rovers, just going through the motions.
  20. He seems to have got back the loop in recent times for some reason...
  21. Im not certain either but if we have no control at all, why are Chelsea allegedly prepared to pay Β£750k?
  22. He wasn't really. He calmly stated Brittain had received an offer he wanted to accept, (inferring that was the end of it in his eyes) and then then made unsubstantiated accusations about Travis in Public to help ease him out of the door.
  23. Not sure how much choice the club has when it comes kids, someone will know .
  24. I remember someone telling me years ago that Nixon was in cahoots with the agents...and to be wary of the agenda behind any Rovers related transfer story...
  25. The blame undoubtedly goes above Ismael but I do also think that he is a far inferior manager to what has gone before. Which just compounds the issue.
  26. This is the narrative the people like Gestede and Pasha want. Pull the rug from under his feet by selling the cornerstones of your team and replace with untried foreigners. If it fails, nothing to do with them, it's all down to the manager ( who was pleading to keep these players) Just like JDT and Eustace, Ismael has both hands tied behind his back trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. If it goes tits up this season I won't be blaming Ismael, I'll know who's to blame
