  1. Past hour
  2. Any news on when the meeting notes will be available?
  3. I was about to say, I thought we were supposed to be commemorating 150 years of Blackburn Rovers, not 150 years of the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen…. Suppose it’s telling that they are steering clear of celebrating the actual football club they’ve completely fucked over.
  4. Nyambe was a useful one on one defender. However offered very little going forwards, and has had recurring injury issues. 3 separate injuries restricted him to just 17 league games last season. In fact, in the 2 years he has spent at Derby, he has played in only 40 games in all competitions, so he has genuinely missed more games than he has played
  5. Wharton wasn't good enough before he got injured IMO... Now he's been out for over a season I can't imagine he'll be coming back an improved player.
  6. Also, it's a football kit, I dont want a pictorial representation of the town on it, but if they had decided that images were essential they should have related to our footballing history, Bob Crompton, Clayton and Duggie, Faz, Simon Garner, Tony Parkes, Jack, Kenny, Shearer etc. Not Darwen Tower and the fucking Wainwright Bridge. They really couldn't have got it more wrong if they'd tried.
  7. Cheer Mark, sounded great.
  8. A centre back with pace and power is still needed. Fairly certain Ismael will want that but it will cost you more than Β£500k.
  9. Nyambe? Have I missed something? 🀨
  10. Think with the hull lad coming in the four centre back options of Wharton, Hyam, Carter and McLoughlin have plenty of Championship experience and are a decent mix.
  11. Unless he's regressed massively he's far quicker than Brittain and a much better one-on-one defender. Nowhere near the attacker though.
  12. We will need to replace Brittain's crossing ability, so whoever comes in needs to either be very good technically or extremely quick instead. Nyambe is neither, and is a downgrade.
  13. Not for me. Loved him when he was here but his weaknesses are too limiting.
  14. In a normal year the home kit would have been OK apart from the changed halves but the lack of reference to the Anniversary is an absolute disgrace. The Green and yellowish kits are absolutely hideous. No proper badge on either, they might as well be cheap imitation knock offs. I completely disagree with the poster above - along with the pink kit last year these are 3 of the worst kits we've ever had. Macron/whoever is picking them need sacking off. Sorry if it sounds like I'm picking on the FF again but did they get chance to pass comment on this year's kits?
  15. It'll go through, the Β£3m will be banked and we'll bring in a cheap, untested, PL loan RB.
  16. JDT and Eustace often turned to the bench and thought "who the fuck do I bring on?" It's why Eustace ran Travis and Tronstad into the ground last season. It's been our achilles heel for years - absolutely no quality depth. Games we're very much in used to change when the subs were made - the opposition got stronger (or at least posed different questions) and we either didn't make any (with our tired players going up against their fresh ones) or got significantly weaker.
  17. From my understanding he was overseas with Hull for pre season and the bid has only just been accepted.
  18. Has this CB from Hull been completed yet?
  19. We're the last Club to be in a position to complain about that! (Tin hat on) If Eustace was interested in Brittain I'd accept Nyambe (still only 27) plus Β£2m cash.
  20. I don't like slotting CBs in at FB - especially in the modern game when the FB is asked to provide attacking options. Nor do I like slotting tall FBs in at CB as a Plan A. That's a Plan D when everyone is injured and the transfer window is closed.
  21. You have to simply look at it as a club trying to take our players to take our league position... So fuck em, sell to Boro.
  22. I was at Heaton Park on Weds - wasn't sure it would live up to the hype (nor my memories of Maine Rd and Loch Lomond) but I was wrong. Still recovering - physically and emotionally. What a fucking night. Band on top form, sounded as good as ever. The crowd was brilliant - no trouble/knobheads - just 80000 people and voices unified. The only gig I've seen to come close for that communal spirit was the Roses in 2012, but I think this pipped even that.
  23. Agreed, I think he has to do a full season injury free for someone to pay big money for him.
