  1. Past hour
  2. Scroll on forever blue. If it’s not directed at you or concerns you then you have no reason to be involved
  3. RW will be a loan, we won't spend the required money to get anyone decent permanently.
  4. Atcheson has come off the bench in each game in pre season apart from yesterday (if I recall correctly), personally think he needs a loan and regular minutes but can be a big player for us in the future, and one who is actually tied down to a long term contract which is like gold dust under our current owners Mullarkey-Matthews has come off the bench on the right wing in each game in pre season, presumably because Rovers have not yet signed competition (it would be folly to expect anything more than competition) for Hedges. I cannot recall him ever playing right back (I think I may have seen him at wing back once or twice, but never right back) for the under age groups and am fairly certain he played on the wing in his loan stints at Bamber Bridge.
  5. Maybe don’t do repeatedly, quoting the same post every time. That’s just trolling, and also very very boring.
  6. This is a fair assessment. I don’t think you’re far wrong. The one which is causing the most discussion is probably the CF. Personally, I saw enough from Yuki and Big Mak last season to believe one or both of them could get 15+ goals this season. Seems VI has a similar opinion. So, who will back them up? Listening to the manager and RG, it seems they aren’t targeting one, which means they’ve seen enough from one of Tyjon or Leonard to give it a run. My guess would be that they’re banking on the former rather than the latter and I can see Leonard getting out on loan. For me, you’ve gotta trust the manager, the guy who’s watching them everyday and if he believes they have enough, then we crack on! It sounds like they really fancy Montgomery as the 4th / 5th cm behind Trav, Tron and Tavares. In rank of need, I’d say RW, CB (Cheap foreign), and Baradji will be our lot, assuming no one leaves. If / when someone leaves, we WONT reinvest the money (as per RG’s comments early in the summer). So I’d expect us to bring loans in to cover those sales. Maybe a freebie or two.
  7. Something which was completely wrong. I will do thanks
  8. It’s just proof really. As quite a few on here yesterday said about admitting to being wrong etc. As shown above signings like weimann batth beck etc along with Ohashi Gueye you didn’t approve and predicted relegation. Now this season it’s just the same narrative again
  9. Doesn’t help at all. It’s of no value. Now get back to arguing with Mercer about something he wrote 12 months ago. That always a great read 🥱
  10. Have you nothing better to do than trawl through my previous posts in order to try and find something to diss me with? Get a life you sad little man.
  11. Will do, the best scenario is one where everything stays stable for ?????? long. 🤞
  12. Hat Atcheson had any gametime during preseason? And are they testing Mularkey as a 3rd RB in case they decide to sell Brittain? I would worry that we plan to rely on youth for roles like that, RW seems to be the only position I can see us actually trying to bring in a new starter now, anything else will be cheap back-ups.
  13. It’s occurred near 3 times a season on average for the last 10 years - not rare what’s rare is a a striker scoring 30 plus. Hope that helps
  14. I'm thinking Saudi maybe. Probably not relevant but the agency he is with doesn't have one other UK based player on their books as far as i can see.
  15. I thought we’d be going down the semantics route. Very tedious. Rare: dictionary definition- an event that doesn’t occur very often. so it’s rare.
  16. But Beck could tackle. We don’t know with De Neve.
  17. Think we define the term rare differently your bottom paragraph is better phrased - relatively small percent certainly not ‘rare’ as per seen in your own stats
  18. Too early on a Saturday for that kind of comedy.
  19. It’s rare in that very few teams in any given season have a striker that hits 20 goals. The argument was that you should be looking for a new striker if you don’t have one that hits 20 per season. My point is that is not the norm for most clubs , it is the outlier. The stats are available. 16/17 - 4 players 17/18 - 2 players 18/19 - 9 players 19/20 - 3 players 20/21 - 3 players 21/22- 5 players 22/23 - 3 players 23/24 - 2 players 24/25 - 0 players So as you can see, it’s a relatively small % of strikers that get 20 goals in MOST seasons - if it’s 3 per season on average that means only 3 out of about 48 strikers (2 per team) get to 20 goals. So it’s rare.
  20. The theory or thinking behind it is they are on pittance to begin with so getting an early contract of 4 year say on about 5/6k per week significantly more than what they would be on. In the hope they flourish and we can demand a reasonable fee
  21. This is the same player you wanted to offer £15K P/W to, and saw him as an integral player in our team. What's changed?
  22. Today
  23. Exactly. Squad is 4 over 21 players light compared to the one that ended the season. 4 is the number we need.
