I know it's famous last words to say a club is "too big" or "too good" to go down, but I really can't see Norwich being down there at the end of the season, I expect them to finish at least ten points higher than us. That run in from March to May which people keep posting is horrific. Inevitably we will pick up some points from those matches, but I think in general that run of games will be a disaster and might be what does for us. There is no firebreak fixtures during that run, they're all gonna be very difficult.

We had Baradji, I thought he'd maybe go off at half time, he looked leggy first half and he'd been booked. He came out to be our best player second half, taking us forward more often than not. He was definitely the one bright spot from today.

Mcloughlin is error prone and dreadful at defensive headers. He was a poundshop replacement for Hyam who showed today what we've been missing.

I take all the negatives already been said and most here knew it would probably pan out this way given the er, new alignment. But a few other things:- Tronstad mom? Crikey. He has been fantastic for us in the past - Rev knows it really 😉 but today his body language said it all for me about where the club is at. Others too were at it –throwing arms, pointing, petulant fouls, huffing and puffing. Baradji I thought was our best player –kept the ball well, simple passes to keep game moving, did a lot of running, always showing for the ball, nearly scored. He needs a couple of good players around him to work with imo. Seems I'm in a minority here. Cantwell –agree show pony, a legend in his own head but seems to remember plenty around these parts suggesting that making him captain was an inspired move and how good he was. On this ‘Wrexham aren’t good we are poor’ argument. I thought Wrexham were very good at this level. Strong, quick, good movement. Their front 3 were excellent and worked really well as a unit. Sam Smith won every header and flick on and was strong, Ollie Rathbone as some have said was far more effective than Cantwell, O’Brien was quick and should have scored –they got the ball forward to him really well. Overall, a loss and poor performance. But it doesn’t matter does it – the budget has been slashed, agents are getting paid, Pasha is getting paid and league position isn’t a priority Rudy says.

All this assumes anyone might be interested in taking on Gueye (they weren't in the summer). And why would anyone be interested in DeNeve or Tavares (injured till March)? This stinking management won't let anyone join unless there is an equivalent leaver.

Mixed bag today. Portsmouth hammering is great. Reduces their GD significantly too which may be crucial. Oxford lost again which is also good. Unexpected point for Charlton which isn't ideal but the real kicker is Norwich winning. Puts them back in the mix to escape. Mind you would we have taken w good results, 1 meh and 1 poor one from our rivals before the game? Of course its a terrible strategy relying on others but that is what we are reduced to.

With Norway finally after 28 yrs qualifying for WC I bet Trondstad's perspective is this; I need to get to a different competitive club asap to increase my chances of getting picked. Sure there are four other players infront of him, but if injuries happen he has to be considered for selection. I'm not too sure about the story of his family wanting to move home to Norway. Perhaps moving away from rainy Lancashire or Manchester.

Hull moved McLoughlin on because they had ambitions to be better. They're now gunning for automatic promotion. We brought McLoughlin in because we have zero ambition and were just squad filling. We're three points off the drop.

McLoughlin had another shocker today. That first goal with him and Pears, deary me. As said previously, Hull certainty had McLoughlin worked out when moving him over to left back, he's a disaster in the middle of a 3.

I felt for him today actually, not a lot went right for him, but he's trying harder than anyone. He's been getting criticised for losing the ball carrying it out, but he's the only one who actually tries to carry the ball out. There's a few getting a softer ride due to the amount they're playing, but he's played virtually every minute. If I'm picking an 11 for a relegation fight, he's one of the first on the team sheet.

For what it's worth, I think Ismael is a busted flush, but I don't know if there's many managers who would be doing a lot better with this shower. We must be among the lowest spenders and lowest wagebills in the league. Transfer spending and particularly wage bills are strongly correlated with league finish. If this is our current trajectory, then yeah we're going down. Perhaps not this season, but you can't keep neglecting a football club and banking on there being three worse sides every year.

Chaddy. Listen to me. For the last time. The club use Alan Nixon as a propaganda tool. They have purposely leaked that information immediately after the match because they realise they’ve fucked up and exactly what we feared would happen, has happened. Gueye was signed for millions of pounds and paid handsomely and has turned out to be exactly what fans of his club said he would be - not competent, not professional and not up to standard. Even if we get our money back (when Nixon says we have done, we won’t have done, remember, it’s propaganda) the reality is he was a major transfer and a major failure by Gestede and his department.
