Another poster mentioned it above, but from side on in the JW upper you could see Gudjohnsen got a massive shove in the back just as he went to hit the first one. It's not really noticeable on the highlights. -

One player in this starting 11 I’m comfortable saying is Championship starting quality. -

I can’t express how bad things have got if we’re back to considering starting Gueye. The man is a total clown. A jester. Letting the opportunity of a life time pass before him because he’s not intelligent enough to realise what could be. -

The biggest issue with Gueye is that he doesn't press with any intensity, so centre halves can step in at any point giving them an overload through the middle of the pitch. I could forgive his profligacy in front of goal if he was a monster out of possession but he's woeful, I'd argue his tactical awareness out of possession is his biggest weakness. -

I think Miller had jet lag. De Neve's suicide pass back to Pratt caused the latter to receive an injury. I thought Gudjohnsen's two efforts were unlucky. How he didn't score the first is beyond me. His second was a good shot but well saved by their keeper. The two Japanese lads were bundled off the ball all the time. Refs don't seem to penalise pushes in the back any more. I honestly think we'll lose to Sheffield Wednesday when they come here. - Today

The Wrexham game both in terms of opposition and marketing potential, coupled with a time a lot of locals have spent up, provides the perfect opportunity for a bold ticket initiative. £20 in all areas expect JW central blocks. Wrexham might sell all the DE and plenty floating fans and part timers would get drawn in because of the Hollywood angle/bank hol, despite the early KO and tv. Over 20k easily guaranteed but oh no lets fleece the hardcore match by match buyers and the away support again. In doing so price thousands out again and have a c15/16k gate at maximum revenue instead.

If they were desperate to do anything over and above an arse covering ‘look we tried, but no take up’ they’d pick a day game, make it a tenner no strings attached and market the hell out of it. But instead pick a night game in December and make you go via somebody else, they’ll sell bugger all… but ‘they tried’
-
Its not as simple as a £10 offer though. It comes with massive strings attached, having to accompany a season ticket holder. Coupled with continued abject performances and embarassing results at home, the fact its a rearranged game that people may have already been to, freezing cold weather, it being 3 weeks before Christmas, and the fact that weve had the piss taken out of us for 15 years. Take up will be tiny and it will then be manipulated as supposed proof that lowering ticket prices isnt the answer.
-
Correct they are a bunch of small time operators who get paid their vast amounts whether there is 8k or 18k in the ground. I think £10 is a great offer for any Championship game but here i think it's being done more out of desperation than anything generous. They've only done it on the back of the recent atrocious midweek turnouts otherwise it would have been on offer weeks ago. C##ts. Again the perfect game for a total boycott but has anybody called for it ? No, so apathy will reign again and that is all the powers that be will put it down to.

How to sell more tickets? I'd do a special raffle. If you're light turns Purple when you go through the turnstile you win and get to replace De Neve and Tavares on the bench. -
I feel the same. Midweeks are always a rush to get back from work, get changed and get down to Ewood. I went on Tuesday, maybe a knock on effect of enjoying Deepdale so much. I simply can't be arsed with the rushing around next week, especially as I can't easily get my mate's ticket (who never makes midweeks) to bring a friend any more. The thing is, whilst its not massively hurting them in the pocket, the club know the true attendance figure from Wednesday evening. And they must know that if people who have paid for tickets aren't even bothering to attend, how the hell can they get other people to buy tickets.

‘Nobody would be interested in Rovers’… but Hollywood stars would be more than willing to take bloody Wrexham through the divisions whilst transforming its infrastructure. -

You'd expect this run of away form to end at some point, let's hope it's not tomorrow. As far as Wrexham are concerned what must it be like to follow a Club where the owners are ambitious and want to win promotion? Has no-one told them the idea is to sell all your best players and try to become "sustainable"? -

First available date for the abandoned Ipswich game was W/C 27th October, which was also half term week. Logically thats where the Ipswich game should have gone, more chance of attracting a few more fans in half term and better for Ipswich fans too if parents etc wanted to take any under 16s etc. The extra days rest doesn't mean much as we have seen loads of times, we had an extra day over QPR before Wednesday's game but it looked like we had played a full game at 3pm aswell that day. -

A midfield so grim even you dont predict a victory. Gueye doesnt win headers though. No way does playing him benefit us in any way. -
I have a feeling he will, but it won't be because he's improved any.
-
It’s his job for as long as he wants it. Out of all of the managers under this lot he smells the most like being the one to really ride that Venky’s gravy train. As for Suhail and Rudy, what’s not to like with Val? He’s content when you sell your best players and bring in random foreigners as cheap replacements. And most importantly, he never digs you out or name drops in the media even when you’re on a terrible run and getting a small grilling yourself.

Ipswich flying at the moment too where as we can’t even draw a match at Ewood let alone win one. I feel like a loss there - irrespective of tomorrows result - could have another huge impact psychologically, especially with our excuse culture.
