2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂
Upside Down replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That's the thing with this regime, they're thick as pig shit. They use the same tired tactics over and over again. You only have to look through this message board over the last couple of years to see how many times their actions are accurately predicted. One example: After the deliberate sabotage of the Lewis O'Brien transfer I posted that they would blame the EFL for the transfer failure. The very next day they came out with exactly that, trying to place the blame with the EFL and going through that ridiculous appeal process that cost a fortune. Unfortunately there's still a lot of fans that are so completely brain dead they still believe this shit. One of them is a VERY frequent poster on this message board. Any guesses who it could be? I have no time for folk like that, they're completely pathetic and are as much of the problem as venkys. Having a difference in opinion is one thing but denying reality is unacceptable. Believe the dog shit that the club puts out there is on par with climate change denial and belief in a flat earth. -

We were playing in the division higher than Brum last season, why are we not bringing in sponsorship revenue on this scale? -

If the choice was to sign a decent striker and not register Buckley for the upcoming season, or just register Buckley and go without, what option would you go for? Also, I don't want to seem callous but Buckley having a decent career from here on is of little concern to me. He owes Rovers for the past 15 years, not the other way round. -

You have a wage budget and we have one space for a right winger signing other than that, we have 2 or more players for each position. Pears isn't even warming up pre game as 3rd choice if case Michalski or Toth got injury. Can you afford to have here post transfer window if that the case. So you need one to leave in order to bring one in. Budget, but also to allow someone like Buckley to play regular and have a career -

We can afford that. We've brought in close to £50 million over the last two years. The owners of the club are billionaires, apparently. Simple. -

random scouts? But we you can't keep just signings players until players go like Buckley, Pears and Leonard(on loan). You need to have a balance to everything. You can't just sign players and then you don't move the above on you got players you are paying that aren't playing for us but can't move on. Every club does it cos they don't want players at the club who they don't want -

Keep stock piling players? Rovers haven't stock piled anything. They've literally just replaced what they've lost, haven't they??? JRC - Alebiosu Brittain - Miller Batth - McLoughlin De Neve - Beck Henriksson - Dolan Tavares - soon to be departing Travis Nobody - Weimann I don't see any stock piling. Please give context. -

We were winning 1 nil and we comfortable in that lead, defensively solid and until the penalty incident, they created nothing, in fact we had a great chance to go 2 nil up with Karbgo's chance -

What tends to happen is that people generally believe what they want to hear. Anything regarded as not being in line with the narrative, from both sides of the argument, is generally dismissed as lies. -

The insider clearly knows plenty of other things and what is actually going on whilst we don't. Other they blocked questions about Travis after Ismael told the fans the situation regarding his situation and the fact he wants to leave us. Do we not want that? Ismael won't comment on Saturday post match after the Travis situation even when asked -

Rovers recruitment reminds me of the The Simpsons monorail episode. It won't be long before Rudy is bragging about bringing players in from Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbook. 😂 -

You keep saying "stock piling" players as if we have already got a well rounded squad full of quality. Who these random scouts find is driven by how much money they have. We are given peanuts by the owners. We dont create enough chances nor do we take enough of the ones we do. Our attack is really poor and I suspect that we wont fix that come the end of the window. You will then justify that by saying that its right not to "stock pile" players. Lets just keep the sub par ones we already have. -

What? Of course he/she clearly does know what is going on. They keep leaking transfer news etc before anyone else. But it is not "good communication" and it is quire frankly amateurish and grossly unprofessional that we are blocking journalists from asking difficult questions, whilst an insider under an anonymous twitter account repeatedly tweets information. The motive for this is clearly to paint the club in a good or at least powerless light and to turn the anger onto outgoing players. The same account has also got into twitter spats with fans who see through them, for example calling (I think) Glen Mullan a "doom merchant." If you genuinely think that tweeting club secrets through an anonymous twitter account, blocking difficult questions in press conferences and altering minutes from fans forums (which I know you have read but wont comment on) and acting petulantly and unprofessionally during those meetings is all good communication. Then even for you, that is ridiculous. This is well beyond what Ismael says in press conferences. The only issue with the way he approaches those is (in line with man management issues he has had at previous clubs) it risks upsetting team mates and of course, alienating a player who hasnt yet been sold. My issues are not with Ismael. -

Well I don't expect to see any new arrivals in time for this one, so pending injuries I reckon it'll be the same starting XI as Birmingham game, which is probably as good a team as can be managed right now. Hull 1 - 1 Rovers (Ohashi) -

The referee was abysmal. And I don't say that because we lost. During the first half the Brum fans were singing, "You're not fit to referee". Then, during the second half the Rovers fans were singing the same and the Brum fans joined in. 19,000 people singing it. We have many poor refs but this fella takes the biscuit. -

Mitrovic's wages means its a none starter. Wagner is investing millions and millions in the city of Birmingham and its different sporting clubs plus he has increased the commercial revenue of the club. They are expecting £50 millions this season in revenue. They have commercial deals with Delta Airlines, Vertu Motors and Coral have all joined Nike and Undefeated - Today

Have some sympathy Rev. Put yourself in their shoes. How can you do well commercially and market the only club to be a founding member of both the football league and premier league, winning both, with a historic and recognisable badge and unique kit colours that have inspired European super clubs.
