I would class Kahn & Barrett as superfluous, neither should have been given new contracts Goddard & Honor are injured Each youth year tend to have one or 2, Wolsoncroft & Thompson were last season, Holt came through in this years group. That's not an issue at U18 level, but they do seem to be frightened of cutting them loose at U21 level, maybe in part as keepers tend to develop later than outfield players

As my mate who isn't even a Rovers fan said 'No Gudjohnsen No goals'. We'll go 1 up in this on the counter but run out of steam early second half and a raft of changes will see us lose. 2nd most successful town club 2 - UK's most successful but ruined town club 1

I respect your opinion but for £5m + Id be starting the car now. Maybe even £3m - £4m. I can't see even our lot selling Toth AND Pears. Hopefully we manage to offload Pears for around £1m and can bring in either a capable deputy or a young prospect whose career is on the upgrade.

At a normal club which had given him a contract extension on what he was worth and had him tied down for 3+ years, maybe somewhere in the £4M- £5M range Probably not in the summer with a year left on his contract and a known distressed seller, we are probably looking at circa £3M (similar level to what they managed for Brittain, Travis etc)

£5m+ I think you have it wrong with Toth. After an unconvincing start, looks the business, produced some outstanding saves and is now a full international.

Realistically - Given he's a championship starter and rotational for Hungary I'd estimate between 3 and 4.5 plus a 10-20% sell on.

All of those, and a few more Honor in the U21s Wolsoncroft, Thompson, Holt in the U18s O'Leary is 29, he isn't being brought in as an academy player, most of those will be leaving within a year or 3 without making a dent in our first team

O'Leary is a fairly steady keeper at this level I think, ever present in the last two seasons for a side that finished 11th & 6th. Been injured a while then spent a bit of time on the bench, but has got himself back in the side playing there last 5 games. There will be nothing in this one I'm sure.

Here's a fun fact. In our last 20 games - Tronstad and Gudjohnsen have both started 5 times (and we've won all 5). Of the 15 games where they didn't both start, we've not won a single one. Guaranteed home win.

How much do you think Toth would fetch if sold then? Edit: Not the most reliable guide I know but Ai and Transfer Market have his estimated value at £700 k. Id say that's a bit low but I wouldnt pay silly money for him.

He was on their radar but nothing happened. I imagine he will be back on their radar if he continues as he is. Although being 28 he has time.

I put the word in your mouth, but when you say some random from Bristol City wouldn't have to be very good to be an upgrade on Toth, it suggests a very low opinion of him, one I can't imagine is shared by more than a handful of fans across the whole fanbase. I wasn't looking for confrontation, I'm just stunned you don't think he is at least a steady, dependable keeper at this level. Tbh I think you tend to form your judgements on players early and not let them go when they improve or settle in. I suspect your opinion of Toth is based 90% on him being a bit wobbly at first when he came in last season. Since we got relegated, Toth is the most dependable keeper we've had bar Kaminski, and we've tried quite a few. Obviously Raya was the most gifted, but a bit prone to errors (still really liked him overall at the time, but I can't say he was consistently dependable to the same degree as the other two). This O'Leary would have to be a very good keeper at Championship level to improve on Toth.

I've a feeling he will be at a big German club before long. Perhaps a Raya style transfer Rovers > bottom 8 prem team > top 4 foreign team.
