  1. Past hour
  2. Nothing should surprise us with this lot.
  3. Barnsley forum https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/reyes-cleary-and-a-very-simple-tactical-point.343073/page-2
  4. Would it surprise anyone if the 5-3-2/3-5-2 was just a sticking plaster to hide a terrible transfer window, and they revert to "Plan A" next summer, after disposing of 2 Championship level left backs in Pickering & Ribeiro?
  5. That team we finished the game with on Monday isn't catching anyone on the break. Slowest side we have had in many a year, and thats saying something.
  6. Would be classic of this regime if we starting signing wingers all of a sudden for 532 formation.
  7. So let's catch them on the break, if they throw the kitchen sink at us.
  8. He is a 17 year old There are not many of those playing first team football at any level, and those that are tend to be built like guys in their early to mid 20s
  9. Not that fussed about Tyjon. If he was that good he'd have been closer to the first team already. If you're refusing contracts before even playing a first team game, that tells me either you or your advisors will be trouble. Its a shame some talented youngsters chase more money from such a young age rather than trying to get first team football. I always think if youre a young prospect, doing well in a lower level first team will put you in the shop window far more than the premier league U21 sides. 3 years after Ash Phillips left, he's still in the championship after 3 loans, but on more money I guess.
  10. Hopefully he can play out wide on both flanks, fill in as striker/second forward and in the pocket, if needed. Not sure how he’ll fit in our current formation, no.
  11. If he was to sign he would be played up front, a Kargbo replacement as I think if he hadn't been injured he would have been used as a striker too.
  12. Imagine being in a world where i just cant imagine us getting anything at home against a side that was in non league just over 2 years ago.
  13. If he signs, it will be interesting to see what we do with him, he is a winger/wide forward, so will the back 3 be ditched later in the season/next summer? Or will they try to convert him to a striker? Cant see them using him as a wing back Personally see this as a data driven pick, and he would be utilised off the bench as a striker, for the rest of this season at least
  14. If you can Rover-ise the local area then great as the regime do everything they can to de-Rover-ise the Ewood estate. Just think of the history timelines and what’s been done to Blues Bar for starters.
  15. Quite excited about the prospect of us signing Reyes Cleary. Quick, direct and with good close control - plus there's more potential to unlock and resale value. Hope we spend on a striker as well, we need players in and around the box willing and able to score goals. Think we will probably look at someone who has lost their way a little and wants a move, or could be another loan if the club feels that Joseph (or someone else) are ready for a role in the first team squad from next season.
  16. Those cardboard cutouts in the stand were much more Yasir’s kind of fan.
  17. They haven't wanted fans to be here since they took over, no matter how much they preach. They all would snap your hands off for everything to be behind closed doors again.
  18. Today
  19. This lot will be here for years yet, no matter what anyone does.
  20. One poster (no, not him) certainly thought Gestede was doing an ‘excellent job’, presumably still does…
  21. It’s NYE 2075… ‘do we think Balaji Rao III will sell? Would a new owner look for building us a new ground or will we stay sharing the Anchor with Darwen?’
  22. Yes, and with a scratch squad of misfits and ne'er do wells too. Sadly and almost unbelievably, we have contrived to further weaken the available options for Thursday since the Racecourse heroics. It is almost as if the plan was to give Rovers fans some hope that a rabbit might be pulled from the dodgy hat, only for us to find that the rabbit fell out of the magician's bag, there is nothing else to pull out to complete the illusion and we are left now with a magic show bereft of magic and sorely lacking in entertainment value. Who could have thought it? Unless, of course, you are prone to those odd conspiracy theories that bedevil modern life, the ones that dare to suggest that the thinning out / 'leaning' of the squad and lack of any back up plan is another insult from the toady bastards sitting in their chicken shit palaces in Pune, aided and abetted by the short-trousered and shadow-dancing goons left locally to play their games on the life support mechanisms rotting away at Ewood Park. Naahh. That couldn't possibly be anything to do with it... VENKYS OUT!
  23. We nearly and would have deservedly won at their place not that long ago.
  24. I wasn't at that game but I was at another at Maine Road when Rovers lost 3-2 after going 2-0 up. I think it was 1992-93 without looking. It was pouring down. I also think it was Patrik Andersson's debut. A Rovers flop who ended up starring at Bayern Munich.
  25. They hold onto us for nefarious reasons in my opinion and unless it is wrestled away from them, they will not sell. Think court case, dubious use of funds, ED in India, seizure of properties and links to agents, who cannot be trusted and that all screams of dodgy dealings. There have even been links to an Italian Aristocrat and a third party ownership fund, so all very suspicious.
  26. No way plenty on here were excited, maybe one or two at most. Take to social media and you might find a few, but most fans and the vast majority on here, so it for what it was.
