  1. Past hour
  2. Hairline fracture No, apparently a big nasty rash
  3. Batth and Weimann were on low salaries, as reported by Jackson on a few occasions. They came here to prove themselves with presumably the expectation that if they did well they would get a new contract and a pay rise. Presumably Derby offered bigger contracts.
  4. Thanks. Why is he out though? Is it infected? Or he just canโ€™t take being ridiculed so wonโ€™t play?
  5. Good question. I had a look at his Rovers goals to find any other left footed ones that werenโ€™t tap ins. The only one i found from the video below is 9- Wimbledon away (40 seconds into video). Maybe goal number 31 (3mins42) shows why he didnโ€™t use his left as much?
  6. To be fair it's worked out wonderfully for us. He won't get his starting job back now.
  7. From what I've read Batth and Weimann weren't on higher salaries - we were the only team in the Championship willing to give them a chance at their respective ages.
  8. 'Goal contributions' is the new fancy term. We need a RW who either scores goals themselves (thereby creating space for teammates) or creates goals for Gueye and Ohashi. We still really, really need a set piece taker too - that's worth 10 goals a season on its own.
  9. The issue I have is last summer โ€˜workedโ€™ because we brought in proven experience with Batth, Weimann and Cantwell on potentially higher salaries. Ribeiro was also proven at this level. It was a change in the recruitment philosophy and it worked. So far this year we have 1 โ€˜provenโ€™ champ player and 3 unproven I suspect on cheaper salaries. Plus if we were forward thinking, we would know which of Travis, Tronstadt and Brittain were likely to leave and would be looking at suitable quality replacements now. Thatโ€™s how you progress. Trying to replace like for like when they leave is just bad planning.
  10. Touchรฉ. My mistake, but it doesn't weaken my argument.
  11. Hull are in quite a predicament too, although the bookies have Oxford more likely for the drop
  12. He did lose a half a yard, but seemed to get stronger and more powerful as he grew, so maybe he was a better centre forward for it during the 94,95,96? I agree, though, the pace he had early on made him more of a threat running in behind and down the channels and wings. Best attacking player I've seen. Duff deserves a mention too. My dad says it's Duggie, mind you.
  13. Ah sorry I clearly didn't read your post properly ๐Ÿ˜ถ
  14. This is hilarious ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฃ
  15. Not sure if this has already been posted somewhere, but Football League World asked AI to predict the Championship table I nearly choked on my coffee, I think this is proof that we are indeed, far, far away from a terminator style future of machines ruling the earth Edit - I wonder if the AI that they asked was the Chaddybot 4000 X Series? But with the optimism dial turned up to max (sorry Chaddy ๐Ÿ˜‰ )
  16. The clue is in B16'S phrase "what Gestede is thinking".
  17. And that is why many people here talks about proven Championship players or the lack of it.. He must be good, he is a proven Championship players. That is not important. What is important is are they going to be proven. And that is the big ???. We don't know with the players that is veiing brought in.
  18. They meet just the one group of supporters, who have to be representative of the fanbase as a whole, and have to hold "regular" meetings. Separately the EFL currently require 2 meetings a year to be held with a fans forum although it remains to be seen if that requirement will continue now this legislation has been introduced.
  19. The risk with Charlton, Wrexham and Birmingham coming up and spending (all be it with different approaches) is that the 'obvious' relegation candidates aren't there beyond Sheff Weds If I know anything about Rovers, when the pressure is on - we don't rise to it. Need a winger who can score a goal to come in.
  20. You've missed Dennis off Jan 2025. Granted he didn't contribute much unfortunately, but at the time I think most of us were in favour of that deal, believing it strengthened our attacking options.
  21. Allegedly a championship player has had a dodgy hair transplant in Turkey (according to Nixon) due to some ridicule from team mates. It's gone a bit Pears shaped and he's out for the start of the season. Nixon won't say who, but has said for all team photos he's had a cap on
