  1. Past hour
  2. The party line for any manager in that situation is "things happen quickly in football, he's out player right now" or something to that effect. There was no need to state Trav wants to leave or Derby are offering to double his money... unless you've been asked to.
  3. He was in a no win situation with the question He bats the question away and then Travis ends up at Derby a few days later them some would be saying "Ismael was covering up for regime above, he knew Travis was going " He is 100% going to go
  4. Fair enough fella, a point we don't agree on.
  5. Cheers chaddy. Even if Vi wasn't out of order saying Trav wants to leave (I think he was) surely he is by suggesting he's been offered "double" Who was it who cracked the joke "Attention everyone" " Operation Trav is a greedy bastard will start in 2 mins" Many a true word spoken in jest and all that.
  6. Β£1.5m is a joke. They've made the club into such a toxic place that other clubs know it won't take much to turn a players head. Give it a couple of days and he'll have gone for an "undisclosed fee".
  7. I’m not expecting him to but with such turnover I also don’t see the impact it will have on the team
  8. No doubt that was said every time before we've played them, sorry but they often do.
  9. Fair, and I'm not going to suggest that individualism and selfishness isn't more prevalent in football. I don't think it's the main factor at play here, though.
  10. You clearly didnt read the message you quoted properly.
  11. I think it’s pretty bad in sport. Cricket is worse in my opinion. When. I worked in industry we stuck together, we had to, because we knew if we didn’t we’d get abused by the management.
  12. Perhaps, but whoever had been in charge. Promotion would have been a long shot. The issue is that you perpetuate a myth that Venkys were ploughing Β£20m in as if it went on the team. Rather than just being a standard Championship situation whereby expenses are higher than the income clubs receive, so just raising funds to offset that to pay liabilities. Now you are saying that they only lost interest recently coinciding with the court case. They lost any flicker of initial interest very quickly after purchasing the club.
  13. He's been pushed, mate. We shipped him on loan and declined to put a contract Infront of him.
  14. Lewis Travis asks to leave Blackburn Rovers for Derby County | Lancashire Telegraph https://x.com/BBCLancsSport/status/1955393284215542020
  15. Translate it to any other industry and I think you'd have very similar results.
  16. Nobody is pushing him anymore, he’s going.
  17. That’s why it very rarely happens. There no integrity in pro football and there hasn’t been for decades.
  18. Whatever. We needed someone ambitious like JDT or Eustace in charge when Mowbray was here.
  19. Some of them, yeah. His closest mates have left, a good few players have just arrived. I just don't think it was an answer that was helpful to anyone but those that are trying to push Trav out.
  20. I understand that sentiment but there are other factors at play - you have to consider the impact of the answer on the team and squad. And honestly, expecting a player - or anyone for that matter - to risk their income on spilling the beans for little to no benefit is not realistic.
  21. So you think that the other players wouldn’t have known Travis wanted to leave iuntil Israel said so ? Even the dogs in the street could see he wanted a move
  22. I disagree completely all players are out for themselves some will se with as an opportunity to play regularly ie tavares theres way too much protection of players the same players who are under contract if Travis has any balls he will spill the beans when he’s sold but I suspect he will agree to an nda incorporated into his contract as itl suit him financially and publicly
  23. Unlucky. Niall was phenomenal. Good effort through and a great distraction through the last few weeks.
  24. I'm seeing a lot of people espouse complete honesty with no tact as implicitly positive. It's the same in politics; "he says what he feels, he's just so honest." Imo VI either didn't think about the impact of his answer to the question on Trav or has been briefed to push him out. Trav is our captain. The impact on the squad - the majority of which he won't have confided in that he wants to leave - to hear the club captain and cultural leader wants out could be cataclysmic. We all know how important momentum is in this league and we've turned in two insipid performances. If morale is destroyed among the newer players within a month of joining they don't have a fucking chance. VI has thrown a grenade and I'm not sure whether it was a slip of the tongue or preordained.
  25. Howling’ Wolf - Smokestack Lightning
  26. No- one has less time for Waggott than me but do you not think this latest ripping up of everything and starting again from scratch by scouring obscure European Leagues is solely RG's "bright" idea?
