  1. Past hour
  2. There's a tonne of appeal. A club with ambitious plans, promoted three years in a row, has global exposure and willing to spend. They have a better chance at promotion than us and will be nowhere near the bottom half of the table.
  3. Hard to know JDT played very open leaving the defence exposed quite often in matches. Think batth suited/suits a more structured set up
  4. If we'd have signed Batth initially when JDT wanted him, would we have gone up?
  5. This is also likely to be the reason for their reluctance to pay the bond, even at 50%.
  6. Fascinating that Eustace was supposed to have departed due to unhappiness with the players brought in but seems determined to hoover them up for Derby .......
  7. Can’t blame batth for wanting two year security financially and given his performances last year his stock will have increased. Having said that he’s 35 in sept ideally he’d accept 1 year with us with an option but he holds all the cards
  8. I’d offer batth a 2 year deal, 2nd year being on reduced terms and more likely a back up, unless he has a great season again. on the other hand if I was him I’d pick Derby. and anyone hating on Wrexham, they’d beat us to most players in a head to head battle as it currently stands. shows how much of a fucked up club we’ve become.
  9. I have been accused of getting excited about what’s happening with the court case. Excited may be a touch over the top, but I’m certainly filled with hope. Research like this is the very reason for this and add to that, what I have posted about a counter claim and there is certain plenty of hope there.
  10. We supposedly wanted a left footed centre back before it became clear that Batth is likely to leave.
  11. And so Nixon begins peddling the company line, seems Suhail was his in, not Waggott. Batth will not resign, the post just proves we are trying to find a way of blaming him. As for we'll bring in Nade if he doesn't, the usual smokescreen to make it seem like we are being productive. They're not even comparable players, Nade is 8 years younger and left footed, they fill a completely differently roles in the squad. (Now if we do keep Batth and sign Nade, that is a productive move, so can guarantee we won't)
  12. That seems incredibly similar to the model of 10-15 years ago where we forced out all of our proven experienced players and got in a load of random Portuguese lads....
  13. The ED have a 95 per cent success rate when they bring a case so odds very much against the V's
  14. they`ll spend a lot of money on better players who will keep them in the league, can`t see them ever challenging for promotion though
  15. Today
  16. If I was Trav I'd jump at Wrexham, more money, ambitious, growing fan base, positive attitude. Everything we should have/be.
  17. 1 yes (role reversal can be fun 😁) 2. the job I did have involved the need to understand ‘legalese’ (or overcomplicated bollocks intended to make lawyers richer as I call it 😁😁).
  18. Why have we waited so long to offer anyone new deals? Totally unacceptable no matter what excuses they throw up. Should have been sorted long ago. If Travis offer a lot more than we do, then of course he will go. We have hardly showed that we are keen to keep him, we havent even bothered to put a contract in front of him. And Wrexham are far more ambitious than us.
  19. How do you have time to suss all this out? (Very well done btw) Are you a house husband or does your job include shit like this? 👏 Just being nosy like 😁
  20. Exactly and they are going to look rather foolish, let alone vulnerable to a counterclaim, if they don’t have one.
  21. They needed (wording in the law) a ‘reason to believe’ a contravention had taken place to do this. How high a bar this is is anyone’s guess.
  22. The current state of affairs is that Venky's are not sending any money. If they do decide to send more money, the more it will cost them in bonds that they may never get back. Venky's will be getting to the point where they desperately want a conclusion to the investigation or they will be forced into a corner. The last thing they want is for the current situation to drag on..
  23. Exactly why I’m hopeful that they will be found guilty of what they are accused of. I don’t see why ED keep on trying to block them from sending funds, when everything is above board. Neither would they seize 6 properties, if they weren’t confident that they have a case to answer.
  24. Can’t see the appeal with Disney fc I think they will go straight back down, average side with aging league 1 players
  25. This is like a letter to Father Christmas from a 5 year old. Pure fantasy and fairy tale stuff. Grab yourself a stiff drink or two young man.
  26. Just to add to my earlier reply. During the last hearing the judge said something along the lines of ‘if there has been serious wrongdoing things will be different’. I took that as meaning if the investigation goes against the Venkys he’ll put a stop to allowing funds being sent. (I still don’t know how an appeal would affect this).
