  1. Past hour
  2. Just make it a tenner, and when you email the advertising mail out to your customer database just advertise it as “tell your friends”. That way i might tell 3 people at work who all go for a tenner, rather than the one I could bring with the current offer. And I give that about 20 seconds thought.
  3. It absolutely won't I'm afraid. As @Tom, this is the most inevitable loss you can imagine. If the footballing gods are feeling particularly mischievous, it'll be the result we point to when we are relegated.
  4. Fair enough, but why does it need connecting to your ST? You would tell him anyway if it was a tenner and the vast majority of folk that do follow the club via the Telegraph, social media, email, the internet in general can just get one without fannying about trying to find a ST Holder to buy them one.
  5. I can tell you for a fact that my mate would definitely not have known, had I not told him .
  6. Nonsense. It’s the Wrexham match thread. Many posters, including me, enjoyed our performance at Wrexham. Or is that “waxing too lyrical” for you?
  7. Lets hope so cos home form need improving quickly.. We are set up to play away from home. Hence why our away form so good. If we taken our early chances yesterday game is over before that free kick Cos anything could happy. Players could adapt and form improves or we get everyone back fit and stay fit. Also League is wide open
  8. Think Alebiosu and Brittain is close one and Im a massive Brittain fan. Miller and Sanderson similar Think Morishita and Dolan could be close one given time
  9. With respect Rev I think you’re a bit off track there. The discussion was about whether Hedges was “stupid” to make the challenge. Some think he was and some of us disagree. I don’t think anyone would say we don’t have a duty to defend any free kick awarded whether it’s a correct decision or not. I do agree with your last sentence though
  10. It's a perfectly fair and straightforward question to ask. Hypothetically, is it trolling to wax too lyrical about a team that can regularly produce a decent away performance but repeatedly stinks the place out at Ewood? (Not something I'd accuse Parson of btw as I know he is genuine in his opinions but there are others)
  11. A question that sounds a lot like trolling. One can despair at the state of a club but enjoy a decent 90 mins effort from a team. I did.
  12. Anyone watching Chelsea v Arsenal? Caiceido given an extremely harsh red by VAR imo. In real time was a fraction late with a studs down tackle and caught the Arsenal player on the top of the foot. The ref (Anthony Taylor) gave a yellow onfield which was perfectly adequate imo but VAR as usual got involved un necessarily, and told him to go over to the monitor. Of course it looked far worse in slow motion and Taylor upgraded to a red. When you compare that with the challenge on Baradji at Preston which caught him studs up half way up his calf/shin it's like watching 2 completely different sports.
  13. Errrrr.....targetted marketing, email, social media, the website, the local press. Just like how most other things get advertised.
  14. All the rain is tomorrow by the looks of things so by time Tuesday night comes it will be fine.
  15. Today
  16. The most inevitable loss in our history (allow me a bit of hyperbole), yes we were on our way to beating them once but the football gods are fickle and our home form abysmal!
  17. Of those players, who do you think are upgrades on those we had previously? I'll give you Gudjohnsen over Gueye (which isn't particularly difficult), but the rest?
  18. I hope it's called off with us winning 5-0, a second postponement might prompt enough ridicule and provoke enough outrage for us to finally do something about the pitch.
  19. poetic justice if we are losing and the game is called off😆,will that snivelling weasel mckenna have the same point of view as last time????
  20. You're beginning to sound a bit like like Ismael there, I didnt think it was a foul, but fouls get wrongly awarded or wrongly not given all the time. Just because a foul was awarded it doesn't mean we automatically have to concede from it, it's our job to defend it properly, no matter what stage of the game we're at, then it becomes a complete non issue. It's always someone else's fault with Ismael.
  21. Of course a casual fan would know if a game was made a tenner a ticket. How do you think people get their Rovers news/info these days? It certainly isn’t largely by having a chat with a season ticket holder over the garden fence.
  22. I hate sounding snappy or sarcastic towards you Parson but it sounds as though you're happy to applaud them all the way down to League 1 (and maybe beyond). Could I repeat Mattyblue's question towards you, what is your opinion on the overall state of the Club and direction of travel?
  23. Because, chances are, a season ticket holder/regular supporter would know about the offer rather than just a casual fan. How else would you get the message to people who wouldn't normally go?
  24. Big if. Equally, it will be very difficult to maintain the away form across an entire season, both will level out to a degree. Hard to close out games with some of the dreadful squad players we have. Gestede said we have a better squad at the start of the season. I know even you have agreed that he was wrong. So I dont get why you think we could challenge for the play offs with a weaker squad.
  25. An away end like PNE has a high percentage that don’t go to home games very often, though the ones that actually do may get together with pals that sit in different areas at home matches, plus beer and no wonder it’s far more raucous than a sparse Ewood.
  26. Both have the ability & potential, both also better on the ball than Pratt, Litherland is a year further along than Atcheson in terms of age & experience though. Edit - I do not think that either will feature regularly for the first team this season (barring an injury crisis in December/early January). I can see O'Riordan being recalled as cover for Miller on the right of the back 3, Pratt being cover for McLoughlin on the left, and an older head being brought in to cover/challenge Wharton in the middle on a short term or loan deal (discounting Carter this season based on his injures)
