  1. Past hour
  2. He’s incorrect regarding results being why the owner’s are hated.
  3. The ref saw it so it can’t have been a serious missed incident and it certainly wasn’t a clear and obvious error. Does that not constitute VAR getting involved when it shouldn’t?
  4. I was on a tour of Brockhall at some point in the past and Souness emerged from the showers with a towel round his waist looking as ripped as a middleweight boxer. He's had a very serious procedure for heart issues in the past and has admitted that at Liverpool his lifestyle wasn't what you'd expect from a professional footballer these days so since the health scare he's probably kept himself in tip top condition physically. Towards the end of his time at Rovers, when his decision making became erratic to say the least, a former friend of mine who'd also had serious heart problems said he didnt see how Souness could operate as a manager properly with the medication he must have been on. Whether there's any mileage in that suggestion I've no idea. I do enjoy listening to him as a pundit on Talksport although his views hark from when the game was arguably better in many ways and sometimes sound a bit dated He is always extremely complimentary about John Williams every opportunity he gets, although I understand that when he was at the Club he used to rib Williams mercilessly, greeting him with the salutation "Here's the guy who doesn't know the first thing about football" type thing when he walked into the canteen at Brockhall. I gather they were invariably at each other's throats as well with Souness saying he wanted such and such a player and Williams saying he couldnt have him. That's the way it should be. You dont want a Mowbray or an Ismael toeing the Company line and refusing to rock the boat to keep their employments safe.
  5. That post from Rovers would indicate that the last block at the other end won't be going on sale should those 300 sell.
  6. I was talking to my brother at H/T against Derby, if Hendrickson was to never play for us again he'd be a very good shout for our worst ever XI. Obviously I hope he turns it around but I've never seen an attacking player with a worse first touch.
  7. The fact he hasn't been very good on the pitch has nothing to do with his comments.
  8. I do hold against him the fact he has been absolutely abysmal since being here. I also dont like the comments from RG and Ismael advising him not to live in Blackburn but to live in Manchester. Nobody expects them to live in Shadsworth but there's nothing wrong with living somewhere nice on the outskirts of town. Wasn't VI also insinuating one of the reasons for Carter picking up an injury was him doing too much driving
  9. The referee didn't even think it was a foul so nothing would have been given without VAR. Given the speed it is almost impossible in real time to determine whether it was in or out of the penalty area. I don't like VAR but you have to say on this occasion it did its job.
  10. Yep, the cost cutting really comes to the fore when we have a couple of injuries/suspensions. Playing Hedges as a centre back just typifies the whole shambolic process.
  11. I was going to post something similar. He is correct in his comments and they shouldn't be held against him.
  12. He's done an interview with someone and made the following comments... "The fan's don't like the owners as results have been poor for years" "The facilities here are 20 years old and a bit under-invested, but everything you need is here" "When looking for somewhere to live, Gestede, Ismael and the players told him don't live in Blackburn, live in Manchester, only one player who is from the area and even he doesn't live there". All a bit petty but you can see this regime holding it against him.
  13. Been honest in an interview but it's unlikely to go down well with the club. Then again they don't give a toss anyway i suppose.
  14. Today
  15. The 4 upcoming home games are absolutely massive for the season given the opposition bar Ipswich are all teams close to Rovers in the table. Probably need 3 wins from those and ideally a couple of good results away at Wrexham, Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday to go into the new year with a solid hope of staying in the league.
  16. Yeah, he shouldn't really be playing but he absolutely will be.
  17. Well there's no much left for him to slag off now so things can only improve from here, right ? Not sure who the F he thinks he is or what kind of place he was coming to, he obviously got lost on the way to Chelsea and ended up at Blackburn.
  18. As we enter this next run of games thought it would be useful to check the table and fixtures taking us to up the end of December... The three wins in a row have boosted us up the table but our home form is still shockingly poor which we have to turn around in the next run of games especially as we have 3 in a row in early December. By the end of December we will be 50% of the way through the fixtures... There are a lot of games in this period against teams that will be in the mix for relegation and it's imperative we pick up points against them. We need to keep above Oxford and Portsmouth at all costs. I think if we lose the majority of these matches we will be in the bottom 3 going into the New Year.
  19. If anyone thinks Henriksson will be playing, guess again. 🤐
  20. The poll is limited to 24, so Others cover a range of players, but I'll take your vote to be for Ardilles. If anyone else wants to vote for Ossie then click 'Other' and add a note in the comments
  21. Souness has the best cosmetic surgeons in the business but no doubt his exercise and eating regime is almost military like. Proper bloke.
