  1. Past hour
  2. James Edmondson with a worldly
  3. I haven't watched 1 ball of the Ashes given its on TNT Sports which I dont access to. I do listen some of the commentary on the way from work in the morning on 5 live. So very difficult to comment on things I haven't watched. I have watched clips from forner England players like Botham, Vaughan, Hussain and Atherton. Its ain't been good. Don't agree with McCullum point they overtrain for the previous game. They didnt have enough proper match practice for me. No proper warm up games
  4. The worst team possible. Thump then and build confidence
  5. Could not tell you. I live 200 miles away.
  6. Not until the 6th round.
  7. I think any tie against someone not in our Division has a bit of curiosity value, the easier ( on paper) the better for me. I think the worst possible ones are draws against other Championship Clubs we play routinely anyway. Particularly if you'd expect them to beat us (away at Coventry/ Boro etc)
  8. I could watch him play all day. And not just because he's a local lad who played for my team. He is as good as there is in that position. When you make the game look as easy as he does you know he's special
  9. Sheff Wed will be the lowest by some distance, they were capped at £7K/week during the summer, and lost the majority of their squad on top of that Then you will have Oxford, Charlton & Portsmouth, we are probably ahead of those for now (as they will still have a fair few in their squads who wont have had much uptake in wages since their respective promotions), at least until the next round of cuts (eg Cantwell)
  10. The most worrying thing about it is that whilst Gallagher was on a fair old wedge totally out of kilter with his ability, Gueye must be on a fraction of that already. So any attempt to cut down on that even further doesn't inspire confidence that anyone who can make a positive difference will be brought in.
  11. I’d rather have a Weston Super Mare, but if it is to be a PL away game, rather those two than a ground we saw regularly (you know from when we were a top football club pre November 2010)
  12. Fair enough. I'll bow to your superior knowledge on the landscaping/turf, I have no idea on that.
  13. Joined up thinking? Expecting too much.
  14. Landscaping boards for the equipment. Turf can be 'hinged' if you will, on one side and work carried out
  15. If they don't rate/Don't want Gueye, they'd have just been bring Tyjon off the bench, at the very least his value might have gone up.
  16. Call me old fashioned, I want a tie we can actually win, not a day trip out to a shiny new stadium or a home tie where we'll get battered!
  17. Been drinking at the bar of popular opinion Tyrone? That isn't like you I must say. If memory serves me correctly, we'd won one test match in 17 before McCullum/Stokes and Key took charge. Now we've won something like 23 and lost around 11 (Don't quote me on those numbers, I'm guessing). But what a ride that has been, some of the best test match cricket in living memory, its been fantastic. That doesn't mean they're above criticism though, as I very clearly posted on the last page. This is a team that dazzles and frustrates with little in between, and sometimes does both at the same time. Its been amatuerish at best in this series, a series that matters above all else, but thats cricket....Lets hope we can salvage something during the rest of the series.
  18. In fairness, I mean if the decision to stop showing Rovers "for free" in Blues Bar but still allow it in other areas of the ground you have to pay a fortune to get into didnt tell you that.........
  19. So we're hoping for a player to make an impact on the first team, and assuming this player will demand a lower salary than that fucking lump. Jesus wept.
  20. I thought so, yeah. So we've already reduced the wage bill down this summer but it seems that wasn't enough, they are still looking at shipping players out and replacing them with cheaper alternatives to bring it down futher. We must have the lowest wage bill in the league.
  21. Back before these bastards darkened our door we had guaranteed annual trips to Old Trafford, Anfield, Goodison, White Hart Lane, the Emirates and Eastlands.
  22. In theory yes, but I suspect it couldn't as you'd have machinery chewing up the remaining turf and although I've no knowledge of being a groundsman, I would imagine the turf wouldn't bond (can't think of a better word) well with the newly laid sections. You'd have to redo the lot but again, it's only backfilling/top soil and reseeding. Shouldn't be crazy expensive, not for Billionaire owners anyway.
  23. Everything pointing towards the Club being under financial strain.
  24. I think the drains beneath the pitch are blocked or broken/compacted as the river level wasn't high enough for it to be an issue and I think the Groundsmen said the same at the Ipswich game. Basically needs digging up and a new drainage/pitch going down.
  25. Is there anything actually coming out of the outlet?
