  1. Past hour
  2. He isnt why we are in the mess we are in now, at all. Seemingly, when you get a dislike of someone, it really sticks in your head permanently even if their spell here becomes an irrelevance. He hasnt been here for 3 or 4 years. This idea that he was purposely avoiding the massive pay rise that a promotion would bring just shows that hatred is coming in over any semblance of logic. But either way, hes been gone for long enough whereby any damage he personally did (which I cant see, youll have to be specific) would have worn off.
  3. I knew this summer was going to be bad but it's imploding at a catastrophic rate. Last time I was this certain of relegation was when Coyle took charge.
  4. But it also wont work if we wont offer competitive wages, lose so many proven players simultaneously and replace them with random cheap players from lesser leagues. They do know what they are doing above Ismael. They are refusing to offer competitive wages, their only focus is cutting costs. But although they know what they are doing, its clearly not to the betterment of the football club.
  5. Saw much more from Leo Duru in less games last year than Montgomery has shown at the end of last season and this. He's also played more games at a higher level. Would rather have him around and loan KM for more experience. But, he's not 6 foot and can't cover 2 positions so less value...
  6. Yeah, we are literally his work experience. Nothing more and the consequences of his inexperience and incompetence is something he'll walk away from, at some point.
  7. and cue Neil Young - Rocking In The Free World.. 🙂
  8. You're painting the same scenario as the past managers, you'll be wanting jokes about the bus next, how did that end? I've no idea if they know what they're doing, I just hope they do. There will be disagreements, there have to be, but if they're not together in general, and stick to agreed boundaries, it definitely won't work.
  9. You wouldn’t actively want it but if theres massive history of it you shouldn’t be surprised. He can be annoyed all he likes and rightly so but I still maintain he either knew of the situation or should have known of the history of the club.
  10. Just my opinion but I think Gestede wants the older heads out so he can play championship manager with our squad hoping to hit the jackpot with foreign signings and that 1 or 2 of them can be sold for a decent profit. Sometimes you can just tell and I do not believe this guy has rovers best interests as top of his priority list. The podcasts he came across as an absolute tool But again he is a mere symptom the owners need outing and then the rest of them will be shown the door
  11. I'm struggling to see beyond that and the fact that he must be fully on board tbh. It seems clear to me that the owners have now more or less completely lost interest and washed their hands of us. The only real interest for people like Pasha/Gestede and VI now unless they're completely thick is how long they can keep the runaway locomotive from careering off the tracks for and therefore themselves in lucrative employment.
  12. You're assuming they have the brain capacity to think.
  13. You sure? He wore the number one jersey for a championship team for two years. I fail to see how he could get any luckier than that.
  14. Did you listen to the podcasts with Gestede? Why could Broughton get contracts signed? Gestede was in position all last season no contract discussions started .Why?
  15. Just on Travis, told he was openly talking about leaving from the first day of pre season. What baffles me most is we clearly knew this yet continued to play him, his contributions were mainly just picking up bookings as he looked disinterested throughout. Only possibly reason I can think is we asked him to hang on a bit till we sorted a replacement!? I suppose in return he built his match fitness up ready to join his new club. To be clear, I’m not criticising Travis in all of this, just the cunts at the top.
  16. Maybe they didnt, maybe they expected it. But it still would piss you off when it happens or you at least wouldnt agree with it or actively want it.
  17. Theres been a need by some to tar Gestede with the Waggott brush ever since he came in. It's obvious to me that Ismael didn't mean Gestede when talking about mistakes in the past but some are adamant he did. I'm open minded and will judge them both on results
  18. We had a number of spells with Waggott here where we did sort new deals. Notably one under Broughton and one under Mowbray. He clearly was never the reason as it doesnt make sense. It coincides with regular owner cutbacks.
  19. I would love to know what the owners thoughts are, are they totally in the dark as to what's going on here? The fanbase has been decimated the playing squad is a joke and heading for relegation as things stand. The club is rudderless and drifting dangerously. @glen9mullan might be able to shed some light on things in Pune? Is it the case they don't give a flying f
  20. In the famous slightly abridged words of potentially one of the world's presidents, 'There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.'
  21. Happened to JDT happened to Eustace - how he or his agents/reps thought this would be different is beyond me
  22. 1980 - but most clubs could say that in their entirety so be safer putting some time frame on it no?
  23. Maybe not. However no-one is telling me he's not part of the reason we're in as much of a mess as we are. We all knew the owners would lose interest eventually, admittedly it took a lot longer than expected and a Court case, but Mowbray plodded along like the Club was his own private pension fund regardless. Ditto Waggott.
  24. Im not too sure on that, I'd say the comment regarding fans needing to remember in not 94/95 anymore with Shearer and Sutton was very naughty. It was self serving and not a fair comment from somebody who carried weight in the game, knowing people in the game would see it as an honest, assessed comment.
  25. What? Thats like saying if a manager knows that he has £100k transfer budget, how could he be mad that he doesnt have more when he knew they only had £100k. He has no control over budget. Purely from his perspective, his squad is being made massively weaker because we lack the willingness to finance and the proactivity to offer proper contracts. So we sign inferior crap. If hes on board and fully aligned then hes an idiot.
