Thats the same with all Footman/Champman games though. The first season is all about getting what you can together and staying up. Anything more is a bonus really. (Anyone that wins something in the first year must be cheating in some way as far as I am concerned - that includes those of you that go back to your last save after loosing a game - you know who you are).

Hey, Football Manager 2006, Just won the UEFA cup with blackburn, and finished 7th in my 1st season. No Cheats. Although i have downloaded an update so we have Benni McCarthy who bangs them in and Nonda was pretty useful. Also had a decent draw in the Uefa, played Lille in the final. Still not bag going to win UEFA cup in 1 season.
