ABBEY Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 MAY ALL YOUR TRACTORS GO RUSTY AND BREAK DOWN..BIG CLUB HAAHA
IAN57 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 All this 'We're bigger than you' rubbish, is just total nonsense. Bigness is irrevelevent. Blackburn Rovers are THE most successful TOWN team in Britain, probably Europe, most definately the World. Bigness is a concept talked about by loosers. End of subject.

bluebruce Posted March 14, 2007 Author Posted March 14, 2007 All this 'We're bigger than you' rubbish, is just total nonsense. Bigness is irrevelevent. Blackburn Rovers are THE most successful TOWN team in Britain, probably Europe, most definately the World. Bigness is a concept talked about by loosers. A HELL of a lot of losers (that, ironically, have won a lot) in the game then. Top managers and players talk about this all the time. Therefore, I'm afraid perceptions of this do actually matter. Mainly I posted this to laugh at how pathetic a claim it was, much like when Brum claimed the same. I don't remember the initial post saying anything about 'do you think size matters?'
FourLaneBlue Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Ipswich want Blackburn's Jeffers permanently If Ipswich are such a big club then why they are gagging for our rejects?
Exiled_Rover Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 I'd love to get a fee for him. He doesn't cut the mustard in the Prem.
bluebruce Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 I'd love to get a fee for him. He doesn't cut the mustard in the Prem. Magilton said his contract runs until 2008, but that isn't quite what I heard when he first signed. I read that it was a one year contract, with Rovers having the option of a further year. I got the impression the further year was on better terms, but that's conjecture. So to get a fee, we need to take the option up first, I think.
orwot Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 And to Francis 'Wingnut' 'Has-been' Jeffers. Can i throw "hack" of the two-bit kind? seems appropriate, kinda...
philipl Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 According to the BBC, Rovers' price for Jeffers is £1.5m and Derby are about to bid for him.
SAS Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 put up or shut up for ipswich then i love how we are going to make a profit on a guy whos scored one goal, and even that was a penalty
Presty On Tour Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 1.5 million for jeffers is well tidy for rovers, 1 goal last season which was a pen, he was signed on a free and now about 19th on the strikers pecking order. happy sunny days if we get the deal done
youandwhosearmy Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 its like getting 2.5 million for Kuqi all over again
thenodrog Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 1.5m does not get you much nowadays and Jeffers played well in the few matches that he started. MoM with Friedal at Sheff Utd if I rem correctly. 1.5 million is a give away considering his ability whilst on the other hand 1.5 million is a hell of a lot to pay for his (apparent) personality and character.
youandwhosearmy Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 1.5 million would still buy you enough nowadays Remember Samba, Nelsen etc, im sure Hughes could find a gem with 1.5million. also 1.5 million for a player who is not good enough, and personally one i would prefer we didnt keep.
Ronin Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 That's twice now, that I can recall, Hughes has got someone on a free then sold them off for a profit the following season. Nice business and a bit of free money.
Claytons Left Boot Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Hope we throw in some carrots and hay as part of the deal because I've thought from day one that Franny (and no offence to the lad) is a right donkey. Excellent business Rovers but a tad lucky.
bluebruce Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 According to the BBC, Rovers' price for Jeffers is £1.5m and Derby are about to bid for him. As I just posted in the transfer rumours thread, Billy Davies stated a week ago that Derby were not interested in him.
