Last season i went to quite a few games & sat in the Riverside. I was pleasingly suprised with the atnosphere & banter created (especially in the area towards the Darwen End of the stand) Me & my two mates joined in with the singing & chanting.....so much so, that i got a season ticket for that area (nowt to do with it only being £249  honest!!)

I`ve not recieved my ST yet but if i remember correctly, i`m situated in block E04 (not the outer one) & on row 11 or 12.

Is anybody else on BRFCs situated in that area.....& if you are, are we up for a sing-song??

Well I sit by the half way line near the front and am very vocal... the fans towards the Darwen End I can hear and join in with... even had to get the BBurn end going once or twice last season!!

Definately up for more singers in the Riverside to add to the few already there!

Knee blankets? Aren't you confusing it with the JW stand?!

I have switched from the Jack Walker last season to the Riverside, looking forward to it and always up for a sing song :tu:

Will post seat number and row when I receive season ticket, cannot remember off top of head, know I am centre of stand middle rows...

Is it true that the Blackburn enders cover half the screen when they watch football on telly. Because they are only used to watching only one half of the pitch.

We're a bit hardier than that in the JWL, pb. It will be at least a month before the rug comes out, and I haven't even got my winter coat out yet <_<

I had an ST in the Riverside last season v near to were you have yours. I didn't sit in the same seat for more than one game though. The great thing about the Riverside is you can move to the end were Rovers are kicking. I have to say I enjoyed it much more than the Blackburn End and when it gets going its great. The only problem is getting a beer at half time as its just too slow and we would end up with about a minute to drink it before the second half.

I have to say though I can't understand the comments about not wanting to look at the Riverside. I think its a cracking stand and has great character. It just says so much about were we have come from.

I must confess that some of my BBE colleagues & I did in fact witness the same events indicated at the start of this thread (In fairness to them) long may this continue, just on a more frequent basis, hopefully.

(Must confess that being in that stand near the away fans for the dingles cup match when MGP scored the winner has to be one of best bits of atmosphere I've been involved in EVER!

Lol! So that`s why ST`s are cheeper in the Riverside! We get money knocked off because we miss the last 10mins! :tu:

Bburn end is the place to be. Come on riverside give us a song!!

Yeah, only the very top left side though. The rest of the BBE is usually pretty quiet. The Riverside will give you a vocal run for your money this year! ;)

The first few Premiership years in the Riverside were fantastic. The area up towards the Darwen End was packed with singers but gradually these migrated to the Blackburn End. A few went initially and the atmosphere dropped, so then a few more went the following season causing a knock on effect season by season. :brfc:

Th one big game i've missed for years. Stuck in a bar in Eliat, Israel with a load of Spurs fans wondering what all the hatred of Burnley was about.

Always up for a bit of audience participation cletus, sat at the back of the block your in so hopefully we can 'get it going' along with many others.

On the riverside stand issue i was wandering if we can add a bit of colour be grafitting the concourse area at the back of the stand in a positive blue and white manner to give the area a bit of character maybe roversmum can help out.

It would be great to get the Riverside rocking, and I've noticed lately the occupants are doing just that! No doubt there will be a few more st holders in there this season which is great. The new coat of paint makes the outside of the stand look much brighter too. However, it still tends to be a bit dark under there. It would be brilliant to create colour at the back of the stand, make it really show up, if we aren't going to redevelop for now, make it something really special to signify yes, it is the oldest stand, but it's Rovers, part of our history and we're proud of it. I've not really had the chance to have a very close look at it as I always come with Mr Roversmum and he needs to sit in the JWL. We were talking about a background of flags at one time - that would be a start.

The good thing about the Riversiders joining in is that it encourages the JWL to make a bit of noise as well.

Still need urgently to think about disabled facilities, though, maybe in another part of the ground.
