I am suprised that we have not yet held a conferance like totenham did wid Bentley and shown our new stars to the public

It seems to me that you're partly right - there are elements of this thread that have gone downhill and I include both of the extremes in that - from the brand new Nicko fanboys to the seemingly bitter older guard. Those of us that enjoy reading about the inner workings of our football club like me will miss this thread if it disappears, and will be disappointed, but have been here long enough to carry on enjoying reading the other topics. Hopefully everybody is grown up enough for it not to get to the point where a very vocal minority ruin it for the majority.

Whilst I agree with the sentiments in what you say RTH, I still feel that a better way to stop the rubbish that spoils the thread would be for the mods to nail the actual offenders instead of simply closing the thread and thus depriving everyone of a superb source of information about our club. By this I mean, identify and ban the offenders for what ever time is deemed necessary, and let the rest of us that know how to behave just get with doing exactly that.

By this I mean, identify and ban the offenders for what ever time is deemed necessary, and let the rest of us that know how to behave just get with doing exactly that.

Thats exactly what has been done in this case. However sometimes its better to close the thread to let things die off, and for people to calm down.

Nicko - you said there was a reason for his signing? per chance has it anything to do with the Gooners? Eboue maybe, my other thought was Simpson at united, but I've heard mixed opinions on him.

EDIT: When you say Rovers did are you saying he's the RB?

I couldn't agree more! I want to add that i can understand Moderators and Administrators wanting to close the thread. If one has to consistently police the thread for undesirable behavior its going to wear on you after awhile and it would seem easier to just close it. I am happy to see the thread still exists and i thank you. Also Thank You Admin and Mods for the work you do. Someone has to do it and its not a responsibilty i would want.

Where does this anti-manager crap come from?

I broke the Fowler story and said it was 'madness or genius' - which I think is fair.

I said there was more to the Friedel sale than met the eye - there was, Rovers were trying to sign his replacement AS WELL AS Brad being offered a big deal at Villa.

I also broke Villanueva and Castillo, which are hardly anti-manager stories. I also sniffed out two of the right backs they have been watching - is there something anti in that?

Some people frankly have no idea how the game works and have their own silly little agendas.

Pathetic.

I have to sniff out a story last night that requires me to do my day job and some clowns are talking about me 'doing one in a huff'...

I agree that the mods have a tough job and this thread has probably multiplied their workload due to it's high traffic. That said, there has to be a solution, perhaps even having the thread be "view only", where only Nicko can post - like the ticker that Rebelmswar was doing. The opportunity to post questions and have debate was valuable but too often it devolved into some incessant begging for updates, and others baiting Nicko into fruitless arguments.

This guy was mentioned by a Danish supporter on another Rovers messageboard a couple of days ago.

I did suggest this bloke in the realistic transfer thread about 2 weeks ago, perhaps i should be Incey's scout. lol :)

I laughed at the first part (although I disagree. Like the guy on askaninja, if I could have a ninja power, it would be the one that allows me to reach through the internet to stab people)

Then you made me sad. I was delighted when Hughes told Neville where to get off and wouldn't like him here. I'd describe why, but I'd be banned...
