Glenn
Ok, being a pre-season, it's probably not worth doing a full preview, but it does need it thread. So, who's going? Who is trying to do both? Which players are expecting to see? Etc. Oh, an more details nearer the time, but I'm looking to try an experiment using Twitter, FourSquare and Wave for the smartphone addicts amongst you going to the games. MarkBRFC
Might do Morecambe, remember the last trip there being very messy though, which was partly down to Glenn i believe Very much doubt any new signings will be show by then though.

Not guilty! All I did was provide beers and taxis (both where I shouldn't). But that was a top day. However as we've all grown up a bit and I'll be driving up from Stanley, it won't be half as messy. However, people have suggest a night out in Lancaster afterwards
ABBEY
think its taxi to stanley and a beery day! work dependent though.
heysham rover
I think there is a significant chance no one will be making a trip to Accy as there pitch is nowhere near ready and there are several 'ongoing issues' down there. There could be a 'festival of football' at The Globe Arena (Morecambe) featuring all games that day. So you all get a day by the seaside and to enjoy the 'best pies in football'. OhmiBRFC
As it stands I am going to both games. Going to drive up from Accy just before end of the game.
Rover9
I will be making the effort to get to both games, need to make a dummy run over to Morecambe to get my bearings as to where the ground is and for suitable parking. The last thing I need is to be lost on the day! Cannot bloomin' wait
heysham rover
There is on street parking around the ground at Morecambe and also a car park at a nearby school. Its quite easy to get too, where you previously went over the roundabout you take the first left and head towards the sea. Cant miss is.
Rover9
Thanks for that heysham rover, I am going to have a run up either tonight or tomorrow and get my bearings, I have had a look on google earth for reference and it seems straight forward enough to find. Glenn
Where abouts on Westgate is it? I went to school in Morecambe, so know the area pretty well, but always thought it was planned for South Road near the D&P but I've just read it's on Westgate and can't work out what spare land there is around there. heysham rover
Its just before Regent Road bridge, after the council estate. Where Westgate Wanderers played if you remember, directly accross from Westcliffe Drive. I am pretty sure the announcement will be made this morning that both Accy and Morecambe games will take place at the Globe.

AggyBlue
I told everyone this a few days ago Hughesy, scooped. ha That means you owe us all a pint. is there a club house or will it be the nearest pub?
heysham rover
There is a club house a la Blues bar type affair, there is also Beer served around the ground. The ground is easy to get to by bus from the sea front, which seems to have been popular last season, taking in a few scoops by the sea and getting the bus down the road. Im afraid I wont be able to stretch to a pint, I work on the football administration side of things at Morecambe so will be a busy day, split allegiances and all that. Should be a good day all round though and hopefully it will be a good family atmosphere with the various links forged between the 3 clubs over the past 7 or 8 years. I expect they will dwindle now with Andrew, Tom and John all leaving, which is a shame as I can say personally Morecambe have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Rovers over the years and have been assisted in many ways, helping the club turn themselves into a genuine football league club.
