Backroom Tom Posted June 30, 2011 Backroom Posted June 30, 2011 If we have any Hong Kong based fans it's well worth entering this competition linked on the Rovers site http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10303~2383333,00.html

As things stand at the moment I can see Rovers being embarassed in this competition. Unless we can get the new players signed up and playing before then. This competition and how Rovers apply themselves could be extremely important for Venky's and Rovers. If Rovers do badly then who will want to invite Rovers for such competitions again. Do well and the commercial prospects could be huge. It would help spread interest in Rovers overseas. Rovers need to sign the players NOW so as to hit this competition as well as the premiership running.
mikeyliu Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Well I'm going too! Any kickabout/fan's tournaments going on or any interest in organising one?
Heldacarite Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Does anyone know where I could get the tickets to the Saturday one(Finals)? It's all sold out and I really really wanna see my Rovers BADLY!
OhmiBRFC Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Apparently we have only sold 30 tickets for this tournament. My wife just been to pick our tickets up and they club have set us a row apart and 20 odd seats for the second game . Well done ticket office .
Ste B Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Theres at least another 8 of us who've booked directly rather than paying the Rovers price. What section are you in ?

Im not sure if steb included mee in his 8 but i also booked mine direct, in the cheap seats. That does sound like sommat ticket office would do!!
roversmum Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Should receive ours tomorrow. Ticket office rang today to say they were posting them registered.
OhmiBRFC Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 We are in block 111. Pretty annoyed to be honest. This trip is our honeymoon and they can't even manage to stick two seats together. We are sitting next to each other on any of the days. Luckily we will know pretty much everyone on the trip - so should get to move.

cn174 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 I thought I heard somewhere that it was unreserved seating. The tickets the club were selling were reserved seating. All others behind the goal and that, are all unreserved.
roversmum Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Got our tickets. Just the one for the two of us for each day. Apparently its because its disabled and carer although there weren't any concessions. Main West Stand Block 129 says VIP on them lol.
J-Rovers Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 does anyone have blackburn's schedule & detail? training ground, training time, hotel, plane? I cant find any news about us, all talk about Chelsea in hongkong news
scunnyrover Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Just seen an advert on sky for the Asia trophy with us on next Wednesday 10.30 am. I honestly can't believe we're going to this tournament not having signed anybody and a more depleted squad than what we had on the last game of the season. Surely one of the reasons of this tournament is to showcase your new signings. Along with advertisng yourself in Asia. I find it quite embarrassing that we're going and surely we're going to struggle. It also won't look good on venkys will it?
BangkokRover Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I do feel sorry for the fans who paid to go, only for Venkys to let them down.
scunnyrover Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Yer it seems that's all venkys have seemed to do. Ud be expecting this Asia trophy to be exciting but can't say I'm looking forward to watching it
MarkBRFC Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I do feel sorry for the fans who paid to go, only for Venkys to let them down. To be honest, i doubt that many people will be going to HK just for the footy.
BangkokRover Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 To be honest, i doubt that many people will be going to HK just for the footy. Would they be going if Rovers were not there??
Ste B Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Would they be going if Rovers were not there?? I would, and have twice before. Looking forward to sampling some of Wanchais finest ales - and Carlserg.
BangkokRover Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I would, and have twice before. Looking forward to sampling some of Wanchais finest ales - and Carlserg. I suspect most people are going for a well earned break and to see Rovers. Without Rovers being there I doubt so many people from the board would be going. I have also been to HKG many times and its a great city but this is a Rovers messageboard and not tripadvisor.com.
Iceman Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I was going to take the Wednesday off, but decided to go to work as I can't be bothered to watch. I'm more interested, in how the start of the season goes for us Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Heldacarite Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I'm going there to see Rovers live for the first time in my life. =/
Ste B Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 If u fancy meeting some rovers fans we will be around wanchai before and after.. were in the unreserved end..
