10/10. He would have been equally good today as a wing back. A Rolls-Royce of a player. I tried to model myself as a full back on Keith.

That’s a great kit, probably my favourite. The previous one with the vee neck and short sleeves was a bit cold in winter. A young Eamon Rogers in the background before he let his hair grow.

Cubillas was World class for Peru that night. We had a Scottish welder that was giving it large before the comp started. We didn’t see him again for a month !

I just watched it again on YouTube. Brilliant free kick bent around the wall with the outside of his right foot right into the near top corner. It’s really hard to get power into the shot using that technique but Cubillas did. The goal he  scored earlier in the game wasn’t too shabby either. A right foot thunderbolt from 20 odd yards out into the same top corner.
