What is this “ throwing people under the bus “ bollocks. Are we men or are we mice ? We’re aren’t school kids, people made mistakes today and they need to be told they made mistakes, and I for one need to know that they have been told.  If I made a mistake at work I got told in no uncertain terms and the whole shop knew about it.

It’s character building, you either sink or swim.

Not in public. You bollock in private. You throw the Raos under the bus.

You are very keen to point out how bad other teams strikers are to try and justify us scrambling around for cheap players.

Kyogo will score more goals than and is far better than our strikers. Our 2 strikers are average and poor, not many goals there.

Maybe read the reply to Simon before you jumped in here. Here was the reply

I think QPR signing Karamoko Dembélé and someone who plenty on here would have like here 12 months ago. Can play fROM the right. Kone could be smart signing if he can step up.

Kelman being sold by QPR was a surprised for me. Did well at Leyton last season

I would have taken Will Lankshear on loan from Spurs but we don't want loan players here from Ismael's comments. I would have taken Rúben Rodrigues from Oxford before he gone to Brazil

Millwall paid 5m for Coburn which I think is over paid

Kyogo did nothing yesterday and after paying £9m for I was expecting much more.

Also you need to created chances for your strikers and that is an area of concern but you overall this in your comment. We could have Shearer and Newell but with good service into the box for them to score goals it would be pointless having there there. Hence why we need a good right attacking replacement and good Travis replacement but also get Cantwell firing on all cylinders hence why I thought it was good decision to give him the Captain armband.

Thank God we've escaped signing all these duds thanks to our unwillingness to spend any money.

In contrast to us just to show what an ambitious Club look like Birmingham are apparently hoping to add more firepower by bringing Mitrovic in.

Stansfield/Mitrovic/Kyogo

v

Ohashi/Gueye/Hedges

Hmmm...................

Spurs and Leeds are looking at him aswell. Birmingham willing to 60k a week. We can't afford that simple

We’d need to be signing a new team of 11 players to spend that much. £3 million a year.

Yet in terms of actual wealth Venky's could probably put Brady and Wagner in their back pocket.

Incidentally, on the corner.

..from my position, it looked like VI definitely urged Tavares to take the corner instead of Ribeiro. (not that it makes a huge difference -plenty of defending needed after that.)

We dont create many chances although a part of that is strikers anticipating where the ball will fall.

Our whole attack is very poor in the main. A massive area of weakness that we seem likely to think will be solved just by signing 1 winger.

I see you have gone from us thinking we do need a striker based on your original opinion, to not in order to base your opinion, back to now needing one having seen how toothless we are. Sadly, seems unlikely.

Examples like Mitrovic and Kyogo are obviously never going to be realistic but there is certainly a middle ground between that and how little we spend. Especially on wages hence why none of our players will sign new contracts.

Wagner has invested in the city of Birmingham and other sporting teams in the city Birmingham Phoenix Hundred franchises and have acquired a significant stake in the Birmingham Panthers netball team.  Plus building a new stadium for city.

Exactly...and your point is?

The difference between Brady and Wagner and us on the Mitrovic deal if it comes off is that they'll go and find extra investment or sponsorship to pay for or at least offset the cost of the deal.

We just sit there going "What can we do?"

Just excuses from you. We don't play the right final pass or crosses. nothing to do with anticipating. The great Alan Shearer would struggled to score in this team.

I would suggested yet again you actually look at what I said I want before the window ends instead of this tripe

I said a forward who can play up front but wide aswell plus a right winger and centre midfielder to replace Travis. A Rothwell type centre midfielder would be ideal to replace Travis. But players need to move on as we can't keep stock piling players

I agree there is middle ground but we have to find the players we need on the budget hence we were have scouts like Piotr Sadowski and Michael Cairney to find these players

Have some sympathy Rev.  Put yourself in their shoes.  How can you do well commercially and market the only club to be a founding member of both the football league and premier league, winning both, with a historic and recognisable badge and unique kit colours that have inspired European super clubs.

Mitrovic's wages means its a none starter.

Wagner is investing millions and millions in the city of Birmingham and its different sporting clubs plus he has increased the commercial revenue of the club. They are expecting £50 millions this season in revenue. They have commercial deals with Delta Airlines, Vertu Motors and Coral have all joined Nike and Undefeated

You keep saying "stock piling" players as if we have already got a well rounded squad full of quality.

Who these random scouts find is driven by how much money they have. We are given peanuts by the owners.

We dont create enough chances nor do we take enough of the ones we do. Our attack is really poor and I suspect that we wont fix that come the end of the window. You will then justify that by saying that its right not to "stock pile" players. Lets just keep the sub par ones we already have.

Rovers recruitment reminds me of the The Simpsons monorail episode. It won't be long before Rudy is bragging about bringing players in from Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbook. 😂

I've sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbrook, and by gum, it put them on the map! : r/TheSimpsons

Keep stock piling players? Rovers haven't stock piled anything. They've literally just replaced what they've lost, haven't they???

JRC - Alebiosu
Brittain - Miller
Batth - McLoughlin
De Neve - Beck
Henriksson - Dolan
Tavares - soon to be departing Travis
Nobody - Weimann

I don't see any stock piling. Please give context.

random scouts?

But we you can't keep just signings players until players go like Buckley, Pears and Leonard(on loan). You need to have a balance to everything. You can't just sign players and then you don't move the above on you got players you are paying that aren't playing for us but can't move on. Every club does it cos they don't want players at the club who they don't want

We can afford that. We've brought in close to £50 million over the last two years.

The owners of the club are billionaires, apparently.

Simple.

You have a wage budget and we have one space for a right winger signing other than that, we have 2 or more players for each position. Pears isn't even warming up pre game as 3rd choice if case Michalski or Toth got injury. Can you afford to have here post transfer window if that the case. So you need one to leave in order to bring one in. Budget, but also to allow someone like Buckley to play regular and have a career

If the choice was to sign a decent striker and not register Buckley for the upcoming season, or just register Buckley and go without, what option would you go for?

Also, I don't want to seem callous but Buckley having a decent career from here on is of little concern to me. He owes Rovers for the past 15 years, not the other way round.
