That's what you want from Gueye. Long ball forward from Toth and the defender can't deal with Gueye who finished calmly.

Winning this ball back much better. The press is working. They passed through it first 20 minutes but as the game has gone on we are recovering the ball impressively

If Ohashi was a couple of yards quicker I could understand all the calls for him to start.

As it is he just doesn't trouble defenders the same way Gueye does. I think he's an excellent option off the bench, and should obviously start his fair amount of matches in rotation, but Gueye is clearly the more impactful CF to me.

He just causes chaos upfront. Defenders absolutely hate playing against him.

He'd be a superstar in L2. 

He's quite good technically and he's a good athlete. Playing against lesser players, with more time on the ball, he'd be a handful.

Yeah possibly but he's stealing a living in the opposition half.  Cantwell not been much better either.

Mathews is raw. Would he benefit from a loan or develop in u21s next season. Gets in good positions but his passing detail is way off

Someone said in the last game thread that he's a RB and hasn't even turned out for the U21s yet (so I assume he's 17/18?).

That's when it clicked for me - I thought he was just quite poor, but he's actually a RB being played on the RW, hence why he looks like a fish out of water at times.

One thing I will say about this side, the way they have harried and pressed all game, I doubt there will be many fitter teams in the league. Really impressed with the work rate if nothing else.
