I'd personally prefer fan action in the form of protest in our around the ground. Sadly we are at the point crowd wise where people staying away wouldn't make that much of a dent

We need to make some protest banners, before the Southampton game. And loud chants of Venkys out Ismael out! hes the worst Rovers manager for some time.

Summed up the evening for me -best player last season hits a sideways pass which goes straight into touch. Body language says it all.

He's just not that good.

As I always said, we'll see how good he is when Travis has gone.

We also nearly got relegated when Travis was on loan at Ipswich.

Grim result yesterday, although I can't remember the last time we beat Sheffiel United anyway. It's tempting to just accept defeat an dream of a fresh start in League 1 without Gestede or Venkys, but I think that's a dangerously optimistic dream of what a relegation would look like.

I can, they took an early lead, and we ended up beating them, i think it was Diaz days when we had a team.

That was November 2021, but we have beaten them even later than that.

We beat them 1-0 under JDT in March 2023 that left us 3rd in the table with a real outside chance of getting into the top 2, or at worst consolidate a top 6 finish.

But as predicted by many at the time, the lack of a January window came back to bite us as we ended up winning 1 of our last 11 to finish 7th.

I hope they realise that and boycott these pointless meetings.

If the comment made earlier about the invitation to watch them train, so that they can see the team spirit is true, it’s an insult to their intelligence.

The team spirit in our Sunday league team was honestly amazing, but we all knew we were crap.

I mean, the suggestion that the FF go down to Brockhall is absolutely nonsense anyway but Id hope the team spirit WASN'T that good at the moment after seven defeats out of ten and sitting second bottom. They should be absolutely gutted at that and determined to put things right.

Instead the TV panned on Henrikssen last night after the final whistle and he looked as if he was about to burst into tears. Then the manager displays all the emotion and self awareness of a T1000, always just bad luck or someone else's fault, just one of those things.

Where's the fight going to come from to get out of this?

It'll never happen, just pure apathy. Also, it really is at this point entirely the fact that Ismael and the players are a symptom not a disease. The transfer policy is literally decided by making sure a balance sheet appeases an owner a thousand miles away. The manager was signed as he was the cheapest option and a yes man. That's it in a nutshell. Changing Ismael won't do a thing - we might get someone tactically more astute but we've got 2 CBs and a player signed as a right back suddenly needing to play every game in a back 3. I can't blame a hastily assembled squad of players who don't have any quality or experience, it's a League One side with 1 or 2 bright sparks.

The slow decline means we deserve League 1, even 2 - it's the level they've created.

The manager has kind of thrown Gueye under the bus. Have him as a sub and not sub  him as he is not an impact player.

A bit like tarmaccing the road and not using a steamroller because a hand tool has more impact.

Where are all the academy kids? At least they would run around a bit.

I am sure this is heresy but I would have loved him as our manager.

Rev, I wasn't really interested in the relative abilities of Trav v Tron.

My point was that the poor pass Tron played last night is indicative of his mood (not his ability) and a perfect metaphor for the shambles that is VI's management and the nonsense occurring above him.

For even more clarity:-

We both agree on the centrality of Trav.

We will never agree on the ability of Tron.

And on your point about Tron looking average now Trav has left is a weak argument. As you know well I'm sure, playing is about partnerships. They complemented each other well. Imagine if Trav had remained here (with all the cack going on around him) and Tron gone -I suspect Trav's body language would have been poor given all the nonsense going on and playing alongside what we have now.

What's happened to Tyjon after all the hype about him before the season started?

I’d rather they had a big crowd who all chanted “Venkies and Pasha out” throughout the whole game!!

See people keep saying that but it's more pointless than a boycott.

And less chance of happening, we are already halfway to a real boycott this season if you ignore the crowd figure and look at the stands.

We'll never know as Travis wasn't the one who stayed. If he had however and Tronstad had left I dont think we'd have been quite as easy to beat or prone to collapsing if we went a goal down or after 60 mins.

It's obviously never going to happen but Im not so sure, the powers that be seemed remarkably think skinned when there was a modest amount of publicity around asking the (then) 3 stooges to stay away from matches.

Gives them ammo to blame the fans and the media tend to jump on board with that in a way they don't towards other clubs.

Boycott first then the next match back the team and hammer the regime.

I just think the time is ripe now for a one match boycott given we are halfway there and the usual chorus of 'get behind the lads ffs' will now be proven dud because the ones that sling it don't anyway.

Considering his comments in those podcasts assuming the translation was correct it's no wonder he is less than impressed with the current coach and tactics.

And it shows.

I bet his agent is working overtime to get him out in January, just like Todds.

Absolutely @RevidgeBlue

The manager promised his parents game time as part of keeping him signed on.

He is also featuring for England kids. No supporter minds one of their own finding their  feet as they develop as long as they give total commitment. What we hate is highly paid journeymen going through  the motions.

Tyion is under England commitments now which will no doubt increase his value and interest to the gathering vultures if he plays and does well.

As opposed to him struggling at first team level which he surely would do.

Got an email from Rovers thanking me for joining them and asking how my experience was at the Sheffield United game last night.

I’m a season ticket holder but didn’t attend.
So my experience was great, didn’t have to watch those doughnuts get beat again.

He is in the shop window to be sold via the England under 17’s.

That's a forthcoming tournament with presumably a different qualifying date of birth for participants. If you go on to the FA's website you will see that he was playing for the England Under 18s against France a few days ago.
